The service at Naked was second to none. All of the staff were incredibly friendly, kind to a fault, and would give anything including the shirts off their backs if asked. Speaking of clothing, apparently, all clothing is optional except in the reception area, hence the name.... The room was gorgeous and incredibly clean. The bed was supremely comfortable! Once the hotel was quiet, I slept like a baby. The kitchen and bar are excellent at what they do. Each meal/drink was better than the last. Lots of superb choices in the Oaxaca designer Mescals, Tequila and Rum categories. (I didn't get past these three.) The beach is very inviting to walk, run and/or do yoga on. It's a great way to stay fit and meet your neighbors. There are chaise lounges on the beach just steps away from your room from which you can receive any food or drink. It is possible to not move a muscle for days. I came to rest and I did just that.

Thursdays through to Sunday nights were LOUD with music. That said, the music choices were awesome. If you're a party animal, this will not be an issue. During the 2 weeks I was there, I had a few incidents with raucous parties right next door that were very late (early?) and very loud. I learned to get up and crash the parties rather than try to sleep.

Everything was OK, the service, the facilities, the room is really nice, the bed and the bed sheets, the beach furniture is really confortable and the pool is quite enjoyable, and the quality of the food.

but they have just changed the menu and it is not as tasty as the one they had before, also were not as good as it should be, specially for a beach menu. The wifi does not function in all the room, and they had two big parties, but one of them in really inconvenient timing, Saturday from 6pm to 4am, and the music was in front of my room, the DJ were not good for us, and they affected our ocean viey when we paid for an ocean view room, and it was for 3 days that they affected it. We couldn't rest on Saturday and we complained about that and the hotel offered a 30% discount in total food check, which was nice and appreciated. They should stop doing this king of parties during resting times, they are a hotel, not a bar or a club.

Our stay was magical in Zipolite. The Naked Hotel was really pretty, with modern rooms. The staff was very helpful and was able to accommodate several requests we had. Location is amazing, just in front of the beach.

Rooms were pretty small, and the ones facing the sea were really noisy, especially with the music and the sound of the sea (usually this sound is really nice but in Zipolite is very strong, not that relaxing) - the rooms were not well isolated. Some of the installations (swimming pool) were a bit deteriorated and needed some repairs.

The hotel location was right on the beach and a close walk into small town. Breakfast was good and met our expectations. We ate most meals at hotel in their open eating area and bar. Although it was a 5 minute walk to other restaurants.

The ambience of the hotel was relaxing and nice music playing all day and not too loud. We enjoyed sitting on our balcony as well. The only thing we might suggest is a little more furniture in the bedroom. Also adding hooks or something to hang things on. We brought in table from balcony into our room as there was no table in room. Towels were minimum but if you asked they gave you what you wanted. Always had fresh beach towels for guests.

The beachfront location is amazing. Loved my airy, air conditioned room right next to the pool. Staff were super friendly and chill. Was about 50% gay vs. straight in terms of clientele, also about the same in terms of clothed vs. people going nude. Totally relaxed, non judgmental, anything goes attitude. The DJ on Sunday night and pool party was fantastic, the best I have been to at any hotel.

If you want a quiet getaway you should choose one of the places up the hill instead. This place is party central at the weekends and you will not be sleeping until the bar closes. The bar and dj nights are a major fixture in Zipolite. My one complaint would be the slow service at times but that is only because I am used to NYC service. It’s a minor issue, the whole point of being here is to chill anyway.

Beautiful decor, and great location. The staff is very friendly and professional. Our regular waiter Enrique spoke perfect English and provided outstanding service. He wasn't hard on the eyes either ;). It's nice to be right on the beach. Other hotels and restaurants are very close as well, so it's easy to try different restaurants and have some variety.

Some of the items I sampled at the restaurant were a little bland. For example the chicken sandwich could have been more flavorful and on more interesting bread. Same with the hamburger. Although it was a generous portion, the meat wasn't marinated very well. The sister hotel Nude next door plays music that reverberates through the hotel and does not make for a quiet stay.

Food was good but expensive. Some of the staff was amazing (Lalo!) and others were terrible and couldn't be bothered to help. Room was beautiful but had no ceiling fan or screen on the balcony door so we had to use the air con which normally we never use.

Pool was freezing with many missing tiles. No room service menu available in the room or online. Beach lounge chairs, while beautiful, were placed at an extreme angle that pushed you off them. Waiter tried very hard to even them out for us and we appreciated that. Music was loud and went on every night until 11pm.

Good location. Staff friendly. Great beach access.

I hate mini bars. What an insult. $200 per night and they can't give a complimentary bottle of water after a long journey getting there? Then when you check out they make you sit there while they go make sure you did not steal a candy bar. Tacky. I did not use the AC as I liked having the door open at night to hear the waves. It would be nice to have a ceiling fan.

The place is really comfortable, all the staff is friendly and always looking for ways to make your stay a relaxing experience.

too few non-alcoholic options

You have to want to get to Zipolite and there is a stretch of road that is very slow going. However, if you want to go to a place in Mexico where everyone is friendly, accepting, the food is great and affordable, the beach is amazing and you can be proud to be whoever you are and love yourself, this is the place to go! This venue in particular stays a little on the louder side in the evenings fyi. All and all it was an absolutely amazing side excursion down from Puerto Escondido and there is no doubt that we will be back!

Parking is difficult if you get there by your own vehicle but they do have an underground garage that can fit several in a couple rows. Other than that and it being a little on the louder side in the evenings if you are looking for quite time or want to go to bed early, it was the perfect day for my wife's birthday!
