Everything was great! I liked that we had our “own” little beach and then we still had a chose to go to the main beach which was just 5-10 min away walking. In general, they made a very nice, relaxing atmosphere down there with a nice swimming pool as well. Sleeping quality was great! The bed was super comfortable! Also very quite during the night.

I didn’t like two things there: 1. WiFi connection was super bad! I know, you may say that why would you need internet in Zipolite? But that is a wrong approach. Some people, even on holiday need to do some business, so not only hippies or backpackers are coming there. Also, it seems that in other places (e.g. al'alchimiste) WiFi was just perfect. So I think this is a problem with this specific place. 2. Cocktails were mainly water with sugar. Quite disappointing, as it would had been nice to enjoy late evening by the pool with a drink. But Paying $150 for water was not good. My advise to the management would be: if you want to make more money on drinks, make the cocktails stronger. This way you will boost your sales. also, drunk people tend to spend more :)

Everything we wanted to experience just got better. We were returning to Zipolite for our 7th time and have stayed in many different places with varying styles and comforts. Villa Aikia took it to another level. Big shout out to the entire team there - especially Pablo and Francisca who kept our spaces immaculate and brightened each of our days. The whole experience was fabulous.

This property is not for everyone- we are an athletic couple who enjoyed doing the multiple sets of stairs to get up the hill to the property every day- even doing them two to three times. Car 🚗 services are available but would still require dexterity on stairs once you are at the hotel. Stairs create lift and unparalleled views here of all the surroundings and magnificent Roca Blanca.

The views were amazing! We had one of the rooms with the private pool and large deck that overlooked the ocean. I don’t recall the name of the lady who cleaned our room but she did an exceptional job of making sure that our room was clean and comfortable. All of the staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating especially Max, Daniel and Sebastian. The staff went out of their way to help arrange tours and provided us with great information to make our adventures memorable and they always checked in to see if everything was to our liking. The food and drink was very good albeit a small menu.

What we didn’t like is that we can’t return whenever we want! Unfortunately the restaurant was not open in the evening and that would have been nice especially given the location and views but given that it is a small hotel we understand that it is hard to keep staff working at all times. We still found good places to eat near by and it did not inconvenience us.

This place is a gem! The view is stunning, the staff are lovely, and the food is probably the best in town. We stayed during low season and were able to upgrade our room to a gorgeous suite for free. It’s only about a 10 minute walk into the main part of town (albeit involving a serious set of stairs) but we honestly mostly hung out at the hotel because the pool and view were so nice.

Not a knock against the property, we just didn’t realize that it was clothing optional (we were prepared for nude beaches in town, but a little surprised to see the same at the hotel). It wasn’t a problem, just want others to be fully aware :)

MAX was the best !! And the two guys at the restaurant/bar. 1) Max upgraded our room which was amazing! This was our first time traveling to mexico / zipolite together and we had the best time - so much so that we actually extended our stay here by a couple days 2) The guys at the bar restaurant were incredible, so nice, so welcoming and we felt like we were at home there! Food was great, so were the drinks. 3) WE loved the little, uncrowded beach that was footsteps from our room - and we loved not being in the main zipolite bach part but it was only a ten minute walk through really cool path/trail with fun hidden restaurants and bars along the way. we LOVED the location. AMAZING time , loved the location and our own little beach

sometimes the meals took a while to serve but all good!

This property has stunning views. The rooms are exceptionally large. The rooms have air conditioning. The rooms are very well appointed. The property has a great swimming pool. The property has a full dining service, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and serves cocktails throughout the day. This property is also clothing optional. This is one of the few properties that has a boiler to generate hot water. We would definitely book this property again over the other gay and clothing optional hotel offerings.

The property requires a good hike up the mountain at the far end of the Zipolite bay totally opposite from Playa de Amor. It is a good 2 KM to walk from Villa Aikia to Playa de Amor. It's good exercise. With the extreme heat in early May, we had to take a taxi at times. The hot water comes and goes. Often it's not needed with the Zipolite heat, however, we are not fans of cold showers, no matter how hot it is outside. That is Zipolite life and you simply have to buck it up for everything else that is wonderful at the Villa Aikia.

We were returning customers and this was our second stay at this property. We had very comfortable and relaxing eight nights at this hotel. The staff was fantastic, especially the room caretaker Pablo, who went above an beyond his tasks (I hope the name is correct). Also, he had perhaps the best English out of everyone there. It is worth considering dining there, because the food quality in the hotel restaurant is one of the best in Zipolite. WiFi quality has improved since our last stay, but unfortunately it was still not great. I can definitely recommend this hotel.

It’s been over 3 weeks since my trip and I’m still in awe from the life-changing experience I had while staying at Aikia. I am a sober transgender woman from nyc and came with my gay best friend for 4 nights and we wish we stayed for two weeks. We were very sad to go and wish we were there longer. It is a magical place with amazing people running it. Off to the side on top of a cliff looking over its own private beach, facing a gorgeous white rock in the Pacific, with easy walk to to Zipolite. I found myself each day wanting to go into town less and relax at the hotel. One day I had an in-house masseuse, Gibran, give me the most fantastic Massage and another day I had a facial that was set up in the yoga space overlooking the ocean. If you are going to have a massage, please do yourself a favor and have them set up in this serene open-air room. I chose this particular hotel based on the quality of the linens because I’m a stickler for quality linen and need to sleep in a comfortable bed. The pictures didn’t do the beds justice. They were very comfortable. The people and staff is what was at the top of the experience. From the lovely receptionist, the manager, servers and bartenders, masseuses and other guests visiting. I loved the people the people the most and relationships I built with the community of people I will take home with me for the rest of my life. Thank you Zipolite and Villa Aikia for a magical and healing experience.

Location is great, beach is beautiful. Very strong A/C. Gorgeous large room with plenty of storage space and very comfortable bed. Housekeeping did an incredible job. Hotel is quirky and fun with many different places to hang out and enjoy the fantastic views. Plentiful towels and water bottles replaced daily.

Wifi is non existent and your data likely won’t work. Service was a little erratic and I think there were some staffing issues whilst I was there. The hotel next door provided loungers at the beach, Villa Aikia did not.

It's obvious the staff enjoy working there and it shows in the service they provide to guests. Everyone was very helpful, attentive and kind. The grounds and pool was great. Room was spacious and clean. Would stay there again for sure.
