Breathtakingly beautiful location with access to the lagoon. We booked this place specifically to enjoy the lagoon, and it was perfect for that! Having free kayaks available was awesome, and we made great use of them for a day. The staff was lovely and always available to help.

If you're booking this place to explore Bacalar, be aware that it's quite far from the center. However, the place does provide bikes, which is great. Since we were aware of the location in advance, we also arranged another stay in the center later during our trip to Bacalar. There are some restaurants within walking distance, but don't expect cheap prices; for more affordable options, you'll need to go to Bacalar center. Be sure to bring mosquito spray with you because the cabin isn't completely mosquito-proof. Keep in mind, you're in the jungle after all. We were prepared for this, so it wasn't a problem that we would have needed to complain about. Maybe a mosquito net over the bed would be a good development for the place :)

The lake front and the room views were just incredible. Rooms are small but very modern.

There were a lot of big family’s/groups staying at the property as there is one big suite. Each group treated the property as their own private resort with no regard for other guests. They would blast loud music, take over the entire seating space and leave trash. This occurred over the entirety of our stay with multiple different groups causing this disturbance. Definitely made our stay a little uncomfortabl and while this is not the hotels fault directly they could’ve done more to regulate this.

The cottages are cute and the view outside is absolutely beautiful. We loved the location as the hotel seems to be on a quiet area and it’s easy to get everywhere with the bikes provided by the hotel. Taxis are affordable too. The personnel was very helpful every time we needed something. All in all we had a lovely stay.

They were building new cottages and the construction work made a lot of noise during the day so it wasn’t very peaceful. Proper blankets needed to be asked for - they weren’t provided initially even though it gets quite cold at night. It would be nicer if the hotel had some breakfast.

This place was amazing! 😍 Great location! Personnel were super friendly and extremely helpful! Bikes and single person Kayaks were available for free... Great view from the cabins... Cabin 4 was my favorite!! Other cabins are also awesome but 4 was much better than 6 or 7. Jose Antonio, Yoli, and Roberto are awesome! And I'm sorry to the cleaning ladies cause I didn't get their names but the rooms were impeccable.. even though I didn't get their names, I left the cleaning ladies their tips each day though! Overall this place was one of the most beautiful places I've been to!! Thanks Bacalar my love and staff!!

The hosts were absolutely amazing and really looked after us. The place is super clean. Kayaks and bikes available. Lovely spot by the lake with shaded area and furniture and even a little fridge to put your drinks in so you wouldn't have to go up and down to the room.

It's slightly out of town and since it's still out of season many places were shut which meant a bike ride into town at night and parts of the road aren't very well lit. Having a car or a scooter would have made it much easier.

The location of the property is beautiful with a large decking overlooking the lagoon. Our apartment was mostly clean with beautiful views from all of the rooms. Bikes, kayaks and stand up paddle boards were provided which were great. It takes about 20 minutes to bike into the town center, however there are limited street lights when riding home late at night. Kitchen had enough equipment/utensils to cook if required. A few cats live at the property

The main living area was quite hot as the aircon did not reach here. Some black mould in the showers, some plumbing issues to the ensuite bathroom. We were charged for bottles of water on the day we checked out. Not really any convenience stores close by

The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help you, always greeted you. The rooms were lovely, we had a room with a view whilst our friends were in one of the cabins that overlooked the water too. Clean comfortable space with decent cols AC, loved the space down at the water where we spent our mornings and most evenings, jumping into the water and making the most of the free use of the kayaks. Great place, not far from the centre and had bikes to cycle there too. Would easily recommend to anyone, thank you so much for an amazing stay.

Whilst the view was stunning there wasn't much extra space in the room but that wasn't detrimental

Wonderful beachfront location with private laguna access. There is a nice chill out area at the pier with shaded chairs, tables and some loungers. Laguna towels are provided. The cabins are a dream and feel and look brand new. Proper AC. Very nice and clean bathroom. Everything is very spacious. There is a mosquito net for the entrance but not over the bed. However, we did not see a lot of mosquitos in November there. We liked a lot to use the SUP board and kayak free of charge and that bicycles were provided. No breakfast available but outside options are not too far away. Receptionists take good care. Lots of parking at the street available.

The facility is outside the city centre and as beach clubs block the laguna all the way, walking on the street to Bacalar is not so enjoyable. However, we liked that bicycles were provided free of charge and they have quite a few so they never ran out. Street has some up and downs which can be tough with hot temperature. There are also some tourist boats stopping right next to the hotel pier in two minute intervals during daytime but we did not really mind.

The bed was amazing, seriously one of the most comfortable beds I've experienced in a hotel. The sheets were also super soft! The views of the lagoon were so beautiful, and the area down next to the water was great. We even got picked up to do a tour from the pier there, top service. The staff were nice and helpful. There were kayaks, though we didn't use them.

The cabin was super dark cause the lights were so dim. I had to use my phone's flashlight to go through my things cause I could barely see them at night with all the lights on. The bathroom was very hot and had no windows. It was overall a bit uncomfortable, but for just one night it was fine. I don't think I would stay much longer

Lovely place in an amazing location on the lake. The free kayaks and bikes are awesome and make it really easy to get into town and explore the area. We loved it here and extended our stay to 3 nights and would have stayed longer if the room was available.

It would have been even better if we had access to a kitchen during our stay to make lunch and/or dinner. Also the descriptions were slightly misleading as only the front two cabanas have a proper lake view, luckily we realised this from the photos and booked the right one.
