I had a nice stay at Hotel Ojo De Agua in Puerto Morelos. The location is perfect, just steps from the beach and close to the town's shops and restaurants. The staff is friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist. The rooms are basic but clean, safe, and comfortable—perfect for a no-frills getaway. The showers are warm, not hot, but still refreshing after a day at the beach. For the price, you get great value. The hotel also has a lovely restaurant at the beach club where you can enjoy breakfast with a view. Overall, it’s a great spot for a relaxed, budget-friendly stay.

I liked the location which is adjacent to the beach and I was also impressed with the food at the attached restaurant. I was there during the supper hour when the rain poured down and this was one of the only places open for dinner that night. Also the food was good, especially the $220 breakfast which provided fresh fruit and eggs benny. I've certainly had better eggs benny but these were better than some of the other restaurants I ate at.

I would have liked to have some help with carrying my luggage up and down from the top floor. When I checked in it wasn't busy and there were two staff members there. Would have been easy for them to help me seeing as how I am 79 years old and stairs can be difficult with a heavy suitcase.

Many thanks to a reception guy (sorry, I didn't ask his name) who was super friendly and nice! He explained me how to get back to Cancun by public transportation (it's a bit tricky) and even wrote instructions for me so that I wouldn't miss anything! It was very helpful! The location at the beach is perfect. The hotel was clean and rather calm, I enjoyed staying there for one night. The breakfast was available at the nearby restaurant, also at the beach, for 220 pesos: it included juice, coffee, fruits and a dish you can choose from the menu.

WiFi didn't work at the night I stayed there, but they told me it was going to be fixed the next day. Also, mind that it can be hard to get Uber in Puerto Morelos (it has nothing to do with the hotel though), but there is public transportation.

The staff were very friendly. Loved the option of using the hotel's beach club where we could take our own drinks and snacks. I also really liked the beach club next to the property where your entrance fee is included in your stay. Great food there. The bed in the nicely decorated room was very comfy too. The onsite restaurant/bar was a lot of fun. It seems to be the popular choice for happy hour snacks and drinks for locals and tourists. My friend and I live in Cancun and went for 2 nights for a quick getaway and we had a blast. The location was fantastic. Right on the beach and just a few blocks from Lauro's..the best spot for live music and evening fun. Great value for money.

Everything was great. We would have loved an overhead fan but that's just because we are used to having one.

The property is in a very nice location just steps from the playa. Short walk to the best of PM’s stores and restaurants. The chedrauey is about a ten minute walk away. The staff is very helpful and friendly. A wrist band is given to you when you arrive and allows exceptionally good access to the best spot on the playa. Very close to outdoor bar, grill, beach club. Plenty of chairs under palm trees or in the sun if you wish. Umbrellas available. A super nice man will help you any time you need assistance either moving chairs or watching items. The pool is very nice. Everything worked well on the room. Small fridge, toilet, shower, air conditioner. Sliding glass door opens up to a nice back patio (we were on the bottom floor). And small garden area. The cleaning staff is excellent.

The room is not as it appears in the photos. There are areas along the baseboards that show signs of peeling paint and not so great painting skills. The furniture is pretty old and dated. We paid more than we should have. We spoke to other guests there who paid less. We paid about 220 a night. Others paid considerably less. Having said that, we would return to this property if we paid a bit less for it than we did. We low know what the true condition of the property is and with that said, the charm of the staff and the location are huge selling points.

this was a very nice hotel. I had fantastic views from my room to the sunrise and the ocean. They have a beach club that serves ice food, and cocktails and plays nice music (too loud sometimes). The bed in the room was very comfy and the bathroom was big a nice with a power shower. The location is great right in front of the beach and next to the main road but without getting noisy. The staff were friendly and really nice. They let me store my luggage until check-in time and they accommodated all my requests (I needed an iron and hair dryer). they have two swimming pools and two bars/restaurants. Also,

Perhaps it was because it was the low season but there were very few people around and they were doing some construction/ painting work. Also, one of the swimming pools was a bit dirty and looked slightly abandoned.

This is my go-to hotel in Puerto Morelos. I have been staying there for more than 20 years and have seen it change owners and many updates and renovations. Always a great place to stay, right on the beach. Great beachbar, nice little pool and always friendly staff. The food is consistently good and now they have their beach club too which has great breakfast. Definitely the place to stay in PM.

I always want to stay longer....

The room was clean and comfortable. The location was Very convenient. The price really fit our budget. We had a fridge in the room that was a surprise as it wasn’t listed in amenities. Score!! They were responsive to requests.

There were no glasses in the room There were a few things that needed repairing. We needed a light bulb in the bathroom, and when we told them they came right away. Most of the chaise on the beach were owned and rented by the concession bar/restaurant, not the hotel.

I love the beach club and the restaurant at Ojo de Agua. I have stayed here every time I come to Puerto Morelos. It’s not a fancy hotel. If you come to Ojo de Agua and expect a fancy hotel, you’re in the wrong place. But this place is perfect for me. I feel safe here, it is close to all the great restaurants, and I love the Ojo de Agua beach club and restaurant.

The top step going up to the 2nd floor is a little higher than it should be. I always trip on it!! There aren’t any drawers here. I bring something I hang in the closet that helps me stay organized.

The hotel was right on the beach and it was very clean and quiet. it was a 10 minute walk to the Central Plaza with many restaurants close by. The scuba operation that I used was right next-door. I chose the family suite which was well worth it even though it was only slightly more money because it had a balcony. Housekeeping kept the rooms and the hotel very clean. The bed was comfortable. there was an electric safe box.

Some of the furniture showed signs of wear and tear, the towels were seriously frayed and need to be replaced but the sheets and bedding looked new. There was no electric water pot to make coffee but there was a refrigerator. The water for the shower wasn’t very hot but it was adequate. if you expect a view of the ocean you’ll probably only have it from the third floor but that wasn’t a major concern for me. There was no table for dining in the room I stayed in.
