I cannot say enough positive comments about this hotel. It was exactly what we needed for our stay in Merida. It is understated, but thoughtful in decor, customer service and in all other aspects. It was like staying at home, but with little extra amenities that make a trip feel special.

Not a thing!

The friendly staff was able to help when we asked and they were there to offer service without any pressure to buy. Location allowed us to walk in to squares with shops and restaurants. Pool area was comfortably to return to.

Nothing to dislike.

The rooms where very comfortable and cozy, the shower was big and nice. Everything is comfortable and clean. The Hotel is beautiful and very modern in it’s decoration and style. We loved it very much.

The only things we didn’t like so much was the breakfast, which is nice but very little portions and the area is not the best. It is loud but you don’t hear anything in the room.

Old colonial building on the outside, understated modern elegance on the inside in the heart of downtown. Lovely pool, charming public spaces, good service and good food. Simply a great place to stay.

The staff should not use the "boardroom" next to the restaurant as a work space - takes away from the usage of it by guests if they wish to work in a comfortable air-conditioned space.

This place is really well curated on every minimum details. For interiors lovers, this will be definitely a pleasure for their eyes. The staff is super attentive, and happy to satisfy any request.

The only rooms with natural lights are the two facing the pool, the rest are pretty dark, and if you open the upper side of the door, you will be eaten by mosquitos. Another low point is definitely the restaurant: choices are a few and mostly basic (included breakfast), but a few mins walk you have plenty of amazing places where to go. When the hotel is fully booked or almost there are not enough beds by the pool for all guests.

Staff was friendly and helpful. I'm not sure how good their English was as I was traveling with a friend who spoke Spanish.

Not being able to let myself in at the front door Extra charges for additional Cappuccinos at breakfast. This an expensive hotel (by Mexican Standards) and I find it in very poor taste to charge extra for coffee when the (included) breakfast is nothing special. Bath Towels could be larger

One of the most beautiful hotels either of us have stayed in. It is brand new and totally pristine. We were stunned. The photos don’t do it justice! the service is easily better than 5*, the staff will do anything to make your stay perfect. Bed was very comfy, recommend you opt for the rooms with a window which we chose, very quiet and ours had a gorgeous shower with skylight above!

We would echo earlier comments about breakfast, it could be better organised and some decaffeinated coffee would be great ( appreciate this is not a popular choice in Mexico however ). We were not particularly bothered as we were up early with jet lag and out at the various food markets eating tacos for breakfast!

Loves this property! The location is unbeatable, just a few short blocks from the main center, and main avenue Paseo Montejo. The hotel itself is beautiful, only a handful or rooms so it is always peaceful. There are so many areas around the hotel to just sit, unwind and relax, we felt truly at home.

Decu is so beautiful! Truly our favorite part of our trip. The location is great if you want to walk everywhere. There are so many restaurants, bars and stores only a couple of blocks away. The only time we had to take an Uber was for the airport. The staff was so nice and helpful. They were so attentive, it felt like we were their only guests.

This place is magical, My friend and I stayed overnight for a wedding in Merida. We loved the concept and aesthetic of DECU! The staff will tell you all about the history of the casona and you can ask them about the architectural concept. The staff was extremely attentive since there's 8 rooms in this private casona so they are always at your disposal + they have a spa. I wouldn't think twice about staying in this place. 5 star rating! 🤩
