The pictures of the courtyard are accurate! It’s a beautifully maintained building. It’s a treat to be able to walk through the main entrance and through the courtyard all the time. The pool is small but I never saw more than 1 group at a time. The location is great to see and eat everything near Centro. We didn’t need to take a taxi anywhere.

Might be room dependent but it is extremely noisy starting from like 7am in the morning due to breakfast service. All the old style openings in the walls for airflow probably help sound travel. I’m usually not sensitive to sound but I was woken up 3-4 time every morning from loud noises or talking that felt like they were right outside our window. If you need to sleep in for any reasons maybe try to ask for a room far from that area.

The hotel offers a very nice atmosphere since the antique building is in good refurbished shape. The small pool is small but refreshing so you can cool down from the hot and humid weather. The breakfast is good consisting of a continental buffet and Mexican dishes. The rooms are nice and clean. Theocation is very central, safe but not loud. The staff is very friendly.

The hotel was great, interior very pretty and great very central location. Breakfast was great, you can order an egg dish to be cooked, I had huevos rancheros which was very tasty.

We booked a room with two double beds for two people which was roomy enough for 2 people but there was little space except for the beds in the room so would have been cramped for more than 2 people. Staff were helpful but didn’t speak much English. Note the extra tax and city tax charges written in small letters under the price.

The hotel is beautiful. The service was very nice. The hotel is located in the centre and has a large parking area - almost ideal. The room was clean and spacious. The facilities were very basic but adequate. The bathroom was small but clean. The WiFi worked well. The breakfast was also ok.

There was noise in the room, probably from a nearby bar where there was a concert or loud music, which made it difficult to sleep. The shower door did not close and flooded the bathroom.

Lovely hotel in the heart or Merida. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable.

The only thing I would point out is that the parking is located across the street and gates are locked during the day. This said, in order to park, you either need to call ahead so you can be advised where the parking is; otherwise, just like us, you’ll reach the hotel, while stationing on the curb and then will need to go round to get to the car park while the staff gets their keys and lead you to the car park. If you need to leave by car again, well, same procedure applies.

Hotel was very beautiful and historic, breakfast was delicious and very filling. Location was great, very close to parks, restaurants and not too far from ADO stations. Street out in front was not too busy or loud.

Walls were rather thin and/or the way the our windows in the room and bathroom (no glass, only wood shutters) opened to a small courtyard, allowed lots of sounds from the neighbors to drift in. Floor drain in the bathroom needed water poured into it occasionally to keep the sewer gas smell out

Alberto was an angel for us. We couldn't get taxi or uber to airport at 3 AM bec of our limited espanol, so he arranged it for us. Besides that, he's a gentle and friendly person. Other staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was like Marie Antoinette's bedroom and sitting room. Ceilings at least 16' tall, so even with 100 degree heat outside, the room stayed cool with not much a/c. We love antique, but this was a fantastic surprise at the amazing craftsmanship of it. Can't say enough abt the hotel and staff.

A spacious room, properly cleaned, breakfast was ok, the pool which you can use between 9 am - 9 pm, the staff spoke English well (even if you wanted to speak Spanish); central location

a bit noisy location with lots of traffic outside since early morning hours; no possibility to get a breakfast as a takeaway package even if you ask for it two days earlier which was quite disappointing

Beautiful lobby, feels like you are staying in an old Meridian palace. Nice pool too. Huge bed, goodish wifi and very friendly staff. The hotel is close to the main tourist attractions and there is parking available is case you wanna rent a car. A water cooler is available at the lobby.

Couldn’t pay with our cards there (tried 2 different banks). Had to call the bank and they told us it was on the recipient’s bank side. Not a big problem tho, just be aware that you might need some cash to pay. The room was very humble: very big but pretty empty. No iron available. Also the room was noisy at night up until 2AM because of the bar with live music next to the hotel. Also it was the first hotel in Mexico that we’ve been to where the staff asked us for tips for serving us our included breakfast and cleaning the room

We loved the location, the beautiful building, and the employees were wonderful. I would say they went the extra mile to please us. One night Marcial went to get a medicine for my aunt at 11:00 P.M. and another evening he surprised us with some items we needed to be comfortable. Israel and Marcela were so helpful as well. Great assets!

We were moved from room 104 because there were a lot of small flying insects in the restroom area. the door to the restroom needs to be upgraded. The other room we were moved to was much better. Still some insects but not as many. We are thinking that having the AC on all the time would help to keep the room without these insects, but my aunt is not used to the AC. Also, the included breakfast was only eggs (rancheros and Mexican style) and toast. Maybe they could add cereal, fruit, yogurt just for a change.
