We have visited Progreso many times over the past 20 years. This was, however, the first time we stayed at Playa Linda. We were most impressed with the hotel. The location is excellent as it is on the malycon. The air conditioner worked well and the hot water in the shower was a real bonus. It was nice that our room had a small balcony facing the ocean. It was nice sitting out there for our morning coffee. The refrigerator and microwave both were good size and worked well. The room service personnel were all nice and accommodating. We will stay here again.

We loved the front view of the Gulf from our balcony. The staff was excellent. The hotel was clean and well maintained. the location on the malycon is excellent. We have stayed at Playa Linda numerous times and never had a bad experience there. The water was hot in the shower which was appreciated.

We were on the third floor. We tried to minimize the number of times we went down to the street by grouping things we wanted to accomplish while there.

A good price and a convenient area. We all liked progreso as a city east to walk around and fun shopping. Good restaurants convenient to hotel Linda. Loved our balcony and watching all the people. Room was really cute and accommodated us well. We were on the 3rd floor and the hotel staff helped us carry our luggage up and down stairs so that was great. We might bring our family back here sometime but if not I think we will come back and this is where we will stay!

You simply can’t beat the location- right on the Malecon and with our room 13! A large balcony overlooking directly onto the Malecon Great value - we always stay there we we are in Progreso

The rooms are fairly basis , but have a fridge and a microwave - it’s really Hard to find a downside -the Malecon can be a little noisy at night , but that’s why you’re there !

Great location on the boardwalk; just a few steps from the beach; lots of restaurants nearby; walking distance from the bus station; rooms with a balcony are preferable. Building has four floors so expect to climb stairs. Wifi works well. Front desk staff were very helpful in upgrading room to balcony.

Lots of stairs to walk up; rooms are spartan with no glasses, plates or silverware even though they have microwave ovens. No tissue boxes. Stairs can be difficult to navigate with luggage.

the location was perfect, the staff were wonderful, pleasant and helpful, very clean accommodation. we had a room with small kitchen, they only supplied small cheap plastic plates and drinking cups, and one small frying pan. I would recommend larger plates and cups not plastic, also supply coffee cups, dish towel and soap for clean up I would definitely stay here again.

the room with a kitchen supplied small cheap plastic plates and cups , we were there for 1 month so better kitchen ware, plus coffee cups , dish soap and dish towel would be helpful. these small improvements would get them a perfect rating.

It's a lovely small clean hotel right across from the beach. You can fall asleep listening to the ocean waves crashing if you pay for the premium rooms at the front. I stayed in both and loved the ocean front room for this reason but the interior hotel rooms were nice too. ***Note if you stay ocean front you will have the noise of the beach all day and sometimes into the wee hours of the night from the Malecon. I didn't mind it because I could still be a part of everything listening to them. One thing I love about the Mexican people is they all seem to sing. I love listening to them, it makes me smile. It is immaculately clean and the staff are the sweetest and gracious. We had a couple of storms while I stayed and it was cooler weather and I asked for a blanket for my bed and they put in the dryer to warm it up for me. SOOO SWEET.

Great location right on the beach front, clean rooms and staircase. Good quolity of inerior materials.

Room is too small for 3 or 4 people. There is no wardrobe whatsoever! You have to keep clothes in suitcases or hang on the bathroom door. There is only window to the corridor inside of the hotel. There is no widow with a view to the outside of the hotel...

Right in front of the beach, clean rooms, friendly staff.

I don't know if there was some miscommunication, on cleaning staff and main staff, of them thinking we were not checked in yet. We left our belongings, left, and came back to our room to find clean towels on our beds. We checked in past our check in time, so not sure what happened, but it made us uncomfortable to know someone entered after we had left our personal belongings all out in the open.

Location is the best. Right across from Malecon Beach. Within walking distance to shop, grocery shops and lots of restaurants. Room with side view balcony was just right. Ask for room 14 !. Smart TV in room but no English station. There is small fridge and a microwave in the room. Bring your own cutlery and plates as they do not have any available. Maria at the Front Desk was very nice and accomodating.

No elevator in the building. If your have trouble climbing stairs, ask for a ground floor room. Hot water takes about 2 minutes to flow. A/C works great. There is road construction going on in front of the hotel. But noise is not too bad. The weekends get a little noisy. That's when the locals come to the beach. Weekdays are less crowded and pleasant. Caution! Pillows are hard. Bring your own soft pillow with you.
