wonderful guest house at only 5 minutes from the center of Marrakech while being in the countryside. the reception staff were great. the pool is perfect under the olive trees. The restaurant is excellent, breakfast super. We were also able to enjoy the spa free for 2 days for only 49 euros per day and per person incredible. I really recommend this hotel and we'll be coming back to la ferme el dar in May for a longer stay.

Fantastic property. Welcomed with Moroccan tea and the staff were lovely. It is very relaxing, a great place to chill by the pool and still feel immersed in the Moroccan culture (unlike big hotels). Food was good, and the design of the interior communal area was stunning. Would 100% recommend and stay again. Our concern was the distance from the centre but taxis are so cheap and it was so nice to escape the busy town and relax by the pool in the sun. I wish we could have stayed longer!!

The room needed some furniture. Place to hang clothes. Also bed is very close to the walls. But otherwise, very comfortable.

Essaid and his entire staff were simply wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble, with everyone going out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The setting is so beautiful with the pool surrounded by olive trees and the accommodation full of rustic charm and character. Breakfast was superb; incredibly tasty muffins, breads, honey and pastries with a choice of eggs every morning. A really calm and chilled oasis, far enough away from the madness of the Medina but close enough for easy trips in. We had a truly delightful stay at Hotel La Ferme El Dar.

If you are a light sleeper, I’d suggest taking some earplugs to block out the early morning noises from the local wildlife. Beautifully comfortable beds though, so you’ll get a good night’s rest!

We have just had an amazing 5 night break at this hotel. We were apprehensive about the rooms as they are unusual but this just added to the whole experience of Moroccan culture/authenticity! It really is a little piece of paradise hidden just on the outskirts away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. A visit to the Souks and Medina are a short taxi ride away and all excursions can be booked through the hotel. The staff are so friendly, we cannot thank them enough. They went above and beyond to ensure we had the best stay and they all work really hard! The food is excellent with lots of choice. The rooms are cleaned daily and as are the grounds. There’s a small farm and the animals are well looked after and this speaks volumes to me as an animal lover. I really cannot find anything to fault and we are already looking to go back in March next year.

The tent was fantastic big comfy bed and large walk in showerr with towels and bath robes. We had a small private area at back with sunbeds and a big bed near the pool to sunbathe.

Staff were lovely apart from the owner , she nevrr spoke to us once while we were there , she spent most of her time walking up and down looking down her nose. We were at the bar area and she pulled up a male staff member to tell him in english that she was dropping his wages due to food gping missing and he wouldnt be getting paid his full wage till she had looked into it and that all the staff were being treated the same. Very unprofessional to do that . You would think an owner wpuld stock check regularly. And not do this in front of customers. She alone has put us off staying again.

This hotel was one of the BEST hotels I have ever stayed at. As soon as we arrived, we could tell this hotel was a one of a kind. The staff were extremely attentive, our room was impeccable and clean, and the hotel was incredibly tranquil - just a 15 minute taxi ride from the Medina, this stay was the perfect long weekend away! The breakfast was fabulous, including a selection of fresh fruit, muffins, yoghurt and eggs cooked to your liking (along with freshly squeezed orange juice and morroccan tea/coffee!) Not only was the breakfast amazing, but the lunch/dinner was fabulous (including a mixed grill, variety of tagine options, and agneau epices). Perfect for a romantic weekend away, with thanks to the staff for making it so memorable!

The fresh breakfast every morning to amazing traditional Moroccan food at dinner. Fantastic refreshments from cocktails & beer to the best mint Tea I've had! Staff were super attentive and helpful, especially for arranging travel/taxis and things to do in Marrakesh. Location/grounds were perfect for enjoying the sun and dipping in the pool, a beautiful place to relax, unbelievably tranquil place to find in a place full of hustle and bustle. Would definitely stay here again!

No Negatives - just a heads up that as the location is somewhat out the city, some taxi drivers are reluctant to travel out that far if travelling back to the hotel.

We really loved our stay - the breakfast fast amazing and it was a well needed calm oasis after some hectic days in the Medina. We enjoyed some warm sunny days at the pool, massage and the room was so spacious, clean and comfy. You had your own little mini garden and a double sunbed in front of the room! + lots of activities/tours to choose from + try the tartar on my pictures, it was the best I’ve had!!

You need to take a taxi to get to the city centre- but this is also the reason why we booked this place - for a calm and peaceful get away.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay in la Ferne el dar! We’ve stayed in central Marrakesh at the beginning of our trip and were now, for our last nights very happy about a quiet few days here before flying home. The private tents are absolutely beautiful, the pool area is so inviting and the food is all grown locally at the premises and absolutely delicious. If the eggplant chickpea curry is still on the menu, definitely trie it!!! Service was great and everyone was incredibly helpful and accommodating be it to arrange a pick-up from the bus station or accommodating dietary requirements.

The only minor down side in the tents is the less than private toilet situation.
