Everyone at Tate Village are as helpful as they can be and in the background the management is always looking how to improve things. The management here is very proactive. The place is secure, it has parking and the kitchen is excellent. The bar is brilliant and the place is clean. The desk in my room is of an excellent size (you just have to learn how to not bang your head on the bunk above!) and the plugs are sensibly located. Everything is very practical.
I liked everything at Tate Village but I must say that I found the bunk-bed ladders quite painful on naked feet. (So bring some slippers.)

Fastest wifi I had experienced in 4 months! I had a dorm all to myself and it was cool, comfortable, and spacious. There is a full wardrobe so you can hang your clothes and organize your things perfectly! I appreciate this so much as living out of a suitcase is tiring and something as simple as a bookshelf makes a huge difference to me! The staff was charming and accommodating. I had my clothes washed and she did a great job and folded them nicely. The front desk man helped me to arrange a shuttle to Swakop and even helped to put his number down for them so they could call his Namibian number when they arrived at 6a. He went above and beyond to help and I appreciate this :) Everything was very clean as well in the kitchens, rooms, and bathroom. I would recommend 10/10 and stay here again when I'm in town.
nothing!

TaTe is a home away from home! Such a great vibe as usual. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. You are free to keep to yourself if you like, or socialise. The balcony is such a bonus considering you can watch the beautiful sunset and sunrise colours of an afternoon/morning!!!! And if you’re lucky you might even get a room to yourself ☺️☺️
Nothing :-)

The best part about TaTe Village are the people. The staff is amazing and incredibly helpful. Upstairs TaTe Village is a hostel but downstairs it's a student dorm. So there is already a community of people who do fun stuff together and welcome travellers into their circle. Activities, such as BBQ and game nights make it easy to get into contact with all those living there.
The kitchen could have been better equipped. For instance, there were no cutting boards.

Everything was great. If it was livlier I'd rate it 10/10. A great spot to starting your trip though
Everything was amazing but it was just super quiet. I only saw one other person there over the 5 days.

Neat and clean. The stuff gave me the first aid promptly. They organized a well shuttle to the airport.
The terror of breakfast at 7.30h. I was told I was late for the breakfast at 7.40h, but was eventually served. The next day I was waken up at 6.56h by the noise of preparing the breakfast from the kitchen. Why salty eggs and sausage are served with toast covered with (sweet) jam?

Best little backpackers in Windhoek. They're converting the roof into a bar soon, so check it out. Tinashe was a legend! He deserves a gold medal for being such a welcoming host. Security guys and cleaners nice too.
Don't want to complain but facilities were a bit all over the place. It was a mission to make a coffee or walk from one floor to the next. Also they ration the toilet paper what's a bit weird. Overall, still very good!

I left before breakfast was served. Location is perfect. Easily accessible. Friendly and helpful staff = Michelle 🤓 Neat rooms, the bar fridge - a bonus. Work space, plugs - cellphone charger plugs. I managed to finish ALL my work which was a great need for me - the room is conducive. 👌🏼
The TV was a too loud late night but the person who was watching obliged in reducing the volume once kindly requested. Access to the top bunk was something I would have liked differently especially for someone my age

Location is excellent and booking arrangements were excellent. The staff called me before coming to Namibia to ask if I would need airport shuttle. I said YES. On arrival at the airport I indeed found driver waiting for me. This was exciting and I am very grateful for this.
In future consider allocating beds on the ground and not to use ladders. Some of us are old and struggle to get up stair beds.
