The beds are very comfortable, The location is perfect- right near Dam square and the red light district with plenty of bars, restaurants and coffee shops. Showers are amazing, and the Breakfast was great! the lady that runs it is absolutely outstanding, she does the job of 4 people. Staff were pretty good everywhere to be fair, nice warm welcome at check in from the young lady from Birmingham.

The bathroom - luckily we’re a couple that have been together a while and we’re very comfortable with each other, because the bathroom gives no privacy whatsoever for any toilet action.

We loved the cozy charm of our room at Mister Highland. Despite being a bit on the smaller side for a double, the space was thoughtfully designed. The bed? An absolute dream to sleep in—super comfortable! The shower was surprisingly spacious, making mornings feel luxurious. The cleaning crew deserves a special mention for their impeccable service, and the staff? Always ready with a smile and helpful advice. Location-wise, this hotel is a gem! A short 5-minute walk takes you to the city's top spots, and if you're up for a stroll, three museums are just 25 minutes away. Plus, having two shopping streets right outside and plenty of mini-markets nearby was incredibly convenient.

While the room had its charm, it did feel a bit tight for two people. The breakfast, though delicious, was a bit lacking in variety—likely due to the small dining area. It left us wishing for a few more options to start the day.

Lovely recently refurbished premises in an amazing location. Friendly and attentive staff. The breakfast was great, with a good selection of cooked options, pastries, fruits and cereals. The bed was lovely and comfortable and the shower was really good too. I also liked the decor, which was modern, yet interesting. There was also a complementary mini bar, however this wasn't refilled. Still it's better than many, who charge for anything from the mini bar.

The room was fairly noisy. To be fair they did provide ear plugs, however i'd rather not have to wear them. I'm not sure if we were just below a working part of the hotel, or just people who didn't seem to sleep much and enjoyed walking around their room at all hours. There was also a fair amount of noise from outside (especially on the Friday and Saturday evenings. This is to be expected when staying in such a central location, however the windows didn't insulate the sound particularly well. We also found having the sink in the actual bedroom (as opposed to the bathroom) a little odd, but the rooms are not huge and this was a necessary compromise to fit in a good sized shower.

The staff did a wonderful job at making sure that my boyfriend's birthday surprise was so nicely set up for when we arrived. Really Enjoyed the personal touches! The room was beautifully decorated, modern, and cozy, and I loved all of the lighting features. Nearby recommendations were given to us for late night dinner options just 5-10min walking in the lovely neighborhood nearby. The location was close to central station, ideal for us as we needed to travel to Schipol early the next day. Will definitely come back here when I can stay for longer!

The room was a bit small although very nicely decorated. It was be great to have a bigger bathroom.

The location for this hotel was perfect, as it’s right in the centre of everything. Most attractions are an easy walk away. The complimentary drinks and snacks in the room were a nice touch. Breakfast was good, with plenty of food options including pancakes, sausage, mushroom, and bacon. I enjoyed the coffee machine, with the choice of making a cappuccino, latte macchiato, or hot chocolate. In my experience, The staff at the front desk were pleasant and professional. The lift/elevator was very appreciated as the stairs can be a little tricky, as Dutch stairs tend to be. The hotel also has its own restaurant open for lunch, but I did not partake.

I would have given this hotel a higher rating had it not been for the bed. I had a single bed, but the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. Had the mattress been better, I would give a higher rating. The bathroom took some time to get used to as it was the size of an airplane lavatory, but that was not a major issue.

Beautiful, quirky little hotel, in a great location for city centre sight-seeing. Nespresso machine with a handful of free capsules, and Chromecast on the TV were nice touches! The breakfast downstairs was great, with a good selection of hot and cold items (though, as is common at smaller hotels in Europe, Brits wont find a proper “full english” here, if that’s what you're after). The 24 hour reception staff were friendly, and happily filled my water bottle with ice and lemon water each morning.

The layout of the sink, shower, and toilet in my single room was a bit odd. The “statement” sink was opposite the bed, in the main room, while the shower and toilet were in their own tiny cubicles, with just about enough room to sit on the toilet and close the door in front of your knees, and no lock on the toilet door. Fine for a solo traveller. Might be a bit weird in double rooms (which I think have the same arrangement).

The location was even better than expected . The hotel is positioned right upon Rokin road. It’s a minute or two walk to Dam square yet away from the super busy crowds. We could walk everywhere from this hotel. The bed was very comfortable and cozy. Yes rooms as small however this is expected due to the old traditional buildings bing converted to a Hotel. Honestly, I found the size of the room the same as many European boutique hotels. The breakfast was a lot better than expected, I would throughly recommend purchasing with the hotel booking.

Really comfortable and clean rooms, the beds were very comfortable. The location was perfect, very central with most things within a walkable distance and the metro station was right outside too. Despite the central location, the rooms were very quiet, although our rooms were at the back of the hotel, away from the street. The staff were very friendly and were happy to accommodate requests both during the stay and leading up to it. Would definitely stay again.

The bathrooms had a slight musty smell after the shower but I think that is just with it being an older building, and all was kept clean. It would have been nice to have fresh drinking glasses in the room each day, but I'm sure these would have been provided if we'd asked.

I left my Apple Watch in the room, and the staff went above an beyond to get it back for me and I couldn't have asked for more. Everyone was so friendly, the hotel was positioned in such a good location and couldn't recommend it highly enough. The rooms are small, but we were never in it so didn't make a difference to us at all!

The breakfast selection could be better in my opinion but I'm not a fan of continental breakfast and the hot selection was minimal, but wouldn't stop me going back as we soon ventured out for more snacks around Amsterdam anyway!

This hotel is absolutely amazing. From the moment we stepped foot into the reception area to the time we left, it was fantastic. The staff were all lovely and couldn’t do enough for us and we’re always happy to talk. The room was lovely; clean, spacious and the air con was lovely too. Yes, it’s quirky having the sink outside the bathroom but it’s not a negative, just different! The buffet breakfast was also wonderful - lovely quality food, presented well and tasted great. Lovely selection of food too, perfect to set you up for the day ahead. Lastly the location…it’s perfect! Right by a metro and tram stop and a short walk from lots of attractions and places to eat. We had an amazing stay and we would love to stay here again in the future :)
