The staff at the hotel were all amazing and very friendly. They helped with any query we had. The beds were wonderful.

The showers were a little lack luster and the scent pumped through the hotel was overwhelming at times.

Great location as it’s in the centre of Amsterdam so it made to easy to walk everywhere, had cafes and shops all around so you could find anything easily. The staff were lovely and they upgraded us to a canal view room which was pretty. The room is a little small but the bed is very comfy and the bathroom was updated, would have liked the room to match with a bit of updating. The only downside is the breakfast isn’t great there is barely any options or much food with only some eggs and toast some little pastries and cereal. Would like more variety in the breakfast but I would say it’s better to just go out for a nice breakfast somewhere.

We loved the location of this hotel and how easy it was to walk around Amsterdam from there. The staff were very friendly and offered advice about what to do nearby. Our first room was up on the 4th floor and it was difficult to reach because of the narrow spiral staircase, so we were moved free of charge to a different room that we could access by elevator in the main building. However, we did love the view of the canal from that room on the first night. Loved that the hotel offers snacks and wine that you can buy from the front desk, also some souvenirs, too.

The breakfast was 15 euro each, so we did not eat there, it is cheaper to eat nearby.

Central location, walking distance from the main attractions. Room was ok for a few nights. Coffee was provided in the room, clean towels and bedding. Top floor meant a lovely view over the canals, which was beautiful both in the day and at night. Hotel also had a lounge where you were welcome to stay ahead of your check-in or after.

The room we had was very small, pictures were a bit deceptive in terms of space. Bathroom was small too but after using the shower it was a bit awkward to access the bathroom as the floor was wet after showering. Drain was a bit smelly too. Tv didn’t work (or at least we couldn’t figure it out).

In September 2024 we stayed at Hotel Nes for a few days. As the hotel is just a short walk away from the Central Station and the Dam, it seemed like a perfectly good choice to us. During our stay, the hotel definitely met our expectations: The rooms were tidy and offered a stunning view at De Wallen. Most of all, we enjoyed talking to the receptionist (who spoke Dutch as well as German and English!). He gave us some really good recommendations where to go and also shared some anecdotes about his life in Amsterdam. He was truly entertaining and a natural at his job. The hotel couldn’t have chosen a more suitable person to work at the reception. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back to this hotel on our next trip to Amsterdam.

Hotel was well located a short walk from Rembrandt square the rooms were clean and comfortable only negative there was no Air Conditioning which was a bit uncomfortable on a 32-degree day. The continental breakfast was excellent and plenty of choice. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

There was nothing to dislike about the hotel and its location in general I was a bit disappointed in the general cleanliness of Amsterdam mainly the amount of cigarette buts and rubbish on the pavements.

+ Location, you get the best of both worlds as it's in the limit of the historic centre and less touristy neighbourhoods. Also, there are great sights of the city and plenty of cafes and restaurants at the doorstep. + The beds and pillows were super comfortable, I'd say the best pillows I have used so far. + The decoration of the hotel and room. + Friendly and accommodating staff.

- The room for 4 people is in the basement and the carpets were a bit smelly probably due to humidity.

The staff were great, friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and nice to sleep in. The location was very good! Right down town in the middle of town, close to restaurants, shops and tourist attractions.

The room was small but had everything you need for a short stay. The Bathroom was weird, kind of a wet room and every time someone took a shower the whole bathroom got wet. Water even leaked onto the carpet in the bedroom one time. The cleanliness could have been better, some scuff marks on the walls, some mold in the corners of the shower and on the shower curtains. That can be easily fixed.

HOTEL and RICK were absolutely amazing. The location of the hotel, the comfort of the beds, and the cleanliness were excellent. We loved RICK at the reception; he had the best customer relations we’ve ever experienced. His communication with us, his energy, his tour recommendations, general advice about the city, and everything he shared with us were perfect, and we are very grateful for that. We owe much of our love for Amsterdam, the hotel, and the Dutch people to RICK, and his contributions were tremendous. Once again, thank you for this incredible 2-night, 3-day experience.

Location, on a canal, room with a view, close to sights, restaurants, good breakfast, comfortable bed, staff friendly and helpful.

Room slightly small, only about 400mm around two sides of bed, Little space to store two large suitcases (we were there for a week), small area for storage of clothes.
