I had a wonderful stay! The staff were incredibly lovely and accommodating, and the view of the mountains was simply breathtaking. The beds were super comfy, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the Netflix and WiFi provided excellent entertainment and connectivity. The food at the local restaurant was delicious and VERY well-priced.
However, there were some things I wish were done better. The breakfast included in the stay was a cold continental style, where you fill out a form and they provide you with the checked items. It was decent for $25, but not what I expected when it said "breakfast included." Additionally, the sink in the bathroom was poorly set up, causing water to spill onto the floor. On the bright side, the showers were nice.

Views to die for. Great sized apartment. One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The sap on the private deck was fantastic! The associated pub had great food and great service. A definite highlight of our trip around the South Island so far.
The pub and accommodation only opens at 3pm each day, which leaves little else to do in such a remote region. The sauna on the deck was amazing, but the operation was glitchy. We had to climb under the unit each time we wanted to use it, to reset the mechanism so the jets would go.

The Large, private villas have a wonderful view over the remote wilderness landscape. The villas have been recently renovated and are a great stay. The king bed plus sofa pullout was perfect for our 3 person family. While there is no kitchen there is a table and tea available. The restaurant and bar is homely and the rustic. My steak was cooked well and tasty, although on the expensive side. But hugely grateful for the good food in such a remote location. Smashed hamburgers were awesome. Included breakfast is very good. All of the staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. I'll definately be back.

Fantastic location and our room/cabin had a superb view. The room was spacious and well equipped. Love the light up mirror in the bathroom. Everything you needed was provided. Good choice of buffet items for breakfast.
Staff who struggled to understand Basic English. Only receiving One Evening meal when Two identical ones had been ordered ……… word to future diners - Ask the Waitress to REPEAT YOUR ORDER to you before she disappears. In all honesty the Manager did rectify it only After I’d taken the first meal to the bar to be kept warm (it returned just warm not hot) and I regret Not taking a photograph of it when it initially appeared as I am convinced some of it was “shared” with the second dish when they both returned. Waiting staff need to be taught how to serve wine.

Room was lovely- spacious with an excellent view, quiet and not overlooked
While the hotel were clear that checkin was at 3 pm and checkout at 19 am, it was not obvious that all facilities were shut between those times. We arrived late afternoon and came into the bar/Restuarant area rather than go to the room. When we asked about WiFi password we were told all the info was in the room. It was only later a kind waitress pointed out the WiFi password was shown on the two walls adjacent to the bar area. The receptionist saying we had to go get the information from the room did a dis-service to the establishment

We had interesting The Bealey as we were there during a serve rain storm. We arrived and our room was fantastic. The tv did include streaming like netflix which was a huge plus and the restaurant was delicious. After dinner due to the storm power did go out but the staff was wonderful and stopped by twice to check in and make sure we were warm enough and found our lantern in the room.
The end rooms view is slightly obstructed by power lines and the shower was small

Beautiful location with amazing views. We made use of the on site restaurant, which had a delicious menu. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was massive and comfortable
We honestly loved this place. The only thing we noticed was there was no sink in the kitchenette- they have allowed for this by placing a tall tap mixer in the bathroom. But this made using the bathroom tap a little annoying because it splashes water

Staff were great and the location is stunning, close to the Bealey Spur walk and 6-8 min drive to Arthur's Pass Village if you would like more food options.
The only downside was that the only sink in the studio unit room was tiny and the tap for the sink was very tall and large, causing lots of splashing onto the floor no matter how careful you were. Otherwise everything else was great

Lovely staff up at the restaurant. Our unit-room was clean and comfortable with an undisturbed scenic view (bonus because it rained and we got a rainbow in said-view)! Very quiet, convenient stay.
We ordered drinks and a meal for dinner... the food came out 2 minutes after the drinks! Exceptionally fast food service... but wasn't expecting it and the timing felt a bit off. That's a nit-pick though. ;)

Room was spacious, very clean and had an amazing view of snow-capped mountains. Beds were luxuriously comfortable. Everything was as new and in immaculate condition. Great for even the fussiest of people. The continental breakfast was much better than expected and included cold meats, cheese and boiled eggs as well as a wide range of cereal, with preserver fruit and yoghurt, not to mention coffee and a choice of several fruit juices.
Nothing. However, the bathroom exhaust fan was not working.
