Love the location and that receiption offer supplies at a great price. Staff were great and very accomodating. The other people staying were very friendly. Great amount of facilities on each floor.

Bedding was stained/dirty (i imagine it would have been washed beforehand though!) And mattress was quite uncomfortable (i understand good ones are expensive), we ended up buying second pillows as the ones we had were thin. Also window is unable to close so was quite a breeze as it was raining and added noise, otherwise a good stay :) Our mistake for not saying anything on the first night of course, I am sure they would have helped us out with these issues as they were great people.

When using here you must have a passport for your ID (as seem to cater for international travellers/back packers - even though you're a Kiwi) Remember to be aware of your safety and wellbeing and safety as you will be sharing facilities. If you have a room, always lock your door.

After reading the comments, I didn't want to book for many days so I booked just one night. I traveled around NZ and believe me this place is not as nasty as they say! I booked in a dorm, super bright, clean and very nice room mates. The shower water was always nice and hot. Staff were great, willing to help me, even the manager speaks three languages. I asked for a towel and proof of address at no cost. I found everything to cook in the kitchen and it's was clean. The common areas were always busy with people and it was easy to meet other travelers. My experience was not bad, I would book again in the future.

It was difficult for me to find the place because the street is closed, no place to park.

I like its low price and value for money, and the toilets and bathrooms on the second floor because they are all so clean and tidy!

I think the window vent is tiny in my room 209, and the curtain can only cover half (which makes two beds on one side basking in the sun during the afternoon) because if all the window is covered entirely, fresh air won't enter the room.

A budget-friendly accommodation situated in a prime location

There were a lot of barricades leading to the hotel due to the ongoing road construction at that time, which we didn't know about prior to booking (we're also partly at fault for not researching). Would have been a deciding factor when booking it because it can get creepy traversing specially late at night. Also, the bed is squeaking which made me very conscious to move. Despite that, I would be booking here again if there's no longer road construction going on.

the beds were comfy and the rooms were a good temperature. the staff were nice and it was a pretty smooth process overall. great location and value for money.

had a cold shower the first night but i think i maybe just didn’t wait long enough for the water to get hot. also could have been more charging points in the room ie near the bed

This hostel is super super central! It’s perfect for a traveler wanting to fit lots in to their days. It’s a 1 minute walk to the sky tower, a few doors down to a supermarket, under 5 min walk to get to the quay, and a 2 min walk to Albert park! This place has very helpful staff and also sells lots of essentials at a low price (like razors, washing powder, and instant noodles!).

I stayed in a private room, the room wasn’t the most clean and didn’t have any windows or furniture (other than the bed) however, one can’t complain when you are on the doorstep of so many opportunities!

It brought me closer to everything I envisioned for my Christmas function. I savored the joy of fast food and embraced restful rejuvenation the following day. Gratitude to my team!

Although the fan was not working, I hardly noticed—it turned out to be one of the best nights of sleep I've experienced in a long time!

The hostel has everything you need and it´s location is the best in the city. Sky tower, AA centre, Supermarkets, Buses, Queen street and a huge variant of restaruant just a few steps away. Beds are comfortables and you have a box locker to place safe your belongings. The staff is also super nice and helpful and the place is full of backpackers all the time so you will get to make friends for sure.

Nothing important to make remarkable from my experience.

I got there 45 minutes after posted check in but someone checked me in, he was very nice. He put my bag in storage so I didn’t have to make noise when I went in the room. I left the next morning before many in my room were up so really can’t talk about the room, but the bathroom was clean. Bed was top bunk, but comfortable enough.

Later check in hours, 10 is too early to close. And I tried to call at 9:15 to see what I should do and no one answered the phone or replied to my message. Street looked a little sketchy but convenient.
