We booked a double studio in the lodge and room was well appointed for a lodge room - It was tidy, warm, bed was large and comfortable, tea and coffee with kettle / fridge, tv provided. Room was made up each day by service. Shared facilities were good, bathroom was kept clean and kitchen was well appointed. Everything we needed for a short stay. Adjacent restaurant was available for all meals and they were very good - large meals so be prepared. Staff were excellent and accommodated our group well. Bealey Quarter was very handy and a short walk to town. Would stay again if in Christchurch

We hosted a party at the function centre, so was great to be able to stay at the venue. The bar staff on the night & the restaurant staff the next day were fab! We literally spent thousands with you that night!

The Lady on check in was very rude! not just to us but others as well. She argued that we hadn’t prepaid & wouldn’t listen to us. It took the trainee (who was lovely) to find the notes on the account, whilst I was searching for the email confirmation to put this lady in her place.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, which was a big plus. Having a fridge and lockers in the room was super convenient for keeping my things organized. The location is also ideal: just a 20-minute walk to the city, with a bar next door that’s perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The vibe was fantastic, with lots of backpackers, making it easy to connect with others.

On the downside, the beds could be more comfortable, and there’s no real common area like a big table to sit down or play games. But overall, it’s a great option for travelers looking for affordable and friendly accommodation.

Big kitchen and hangout facilities.I also appreciate the communal spaces where you can unwind, meet fellow travelers, or simply soak in the relaxed vibe. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, always ensuring guests feel at home. I really liked the facilities, good ventilation because there are so many people in one room, good ventilation is better. The kitchen is well equipped for those of us who are passing through, the bathrooms are clean and they have a hair dryer, which is good. The bed linen is clean, they provide towels, which is also a plus, and they have a drinks vending machine. Good location, you can walk to the center. Well WiFi

I didn't like that the beds make a lot of noise, they need to put oil on them because if you move your foot it makes too much noise, the refrigerator in the room was dirty,

Overall, myself stayed in lodge room I like the room, which is reasonable size for just me. it's combined with other tenants rooms, but room is quiet people really follow the rules. Nice have TV for streaming, phone charger ports, decent size of bathroom. Got everything I need. I was lucky, got promotion deal, which including 3 free cooked breakfast for my 3 nights stay. Nice staff, one of my room card doesn't work at night time, I called staff, who just asked room number and came with loaded card help me to open the door.

Only one thing there is not good ventilation in both bathroom and room. bathroom's extract fan can't manually control it. no cooling system in the room, which was so warm while I stay, also could too hot for spring and summer. There is no privacy curtain, so I couldn't proper open curtain with sliding door open to cooling down.

I have now been traveling for 6 weeks and i do have to say this is probably the best value place i have stayed so far.... So here we go the staff were just fantastic on arrival you get a voucher by a loacal beer,wine or cider get the next free you also get the breakfast voucher and the breakfast is extremly good and you will not be able to eat it all. I arrived on the Monday and they had a quizz night the bar was packed even the beer was at a good price The property was only a 15 min walk to the centre of town and the area was great there seemed to be plenty of parking on site which is a god send. I look forward to staying here again top marks...............

The bed was comfortable and the location was good.

The parking infront of the unit was utilised by others, would be better if it is reserved for the occupant. Can hear and feel the door next to us everytime it open/close. Space for the kettle, coffee/tea, and glasses provided was too narrow and only 1 teaspoon provided for 3 guest😁 Only 1 small rubbish bin for the entire room. No shampoo/conditioner/soap holders/tray in the shower. Fridge quite noisy.

This is a very nice place! A little ways out of the city center but for the price it's worth it. I came during what I imagine to be the low season (May) so my room was not full, and I never had to wait to use a toilet or shower in the bathrooms. All facilities (dorm room, bathroom, kitchen, and the building itself!) were modern, clean, and comfortable. It was freezing outside (literally) but the heat was on in the room so I was never cold. I've never been in a dorm room that included a fridge -- this was a very nice little bonus! Each bed had an outlet, little shelf, and little light, which was great!

The entry door to my room was extremely loud and disruptive as it always slammed very loudly; if my room had been full (and therefore had more people going in and out) this would have been very annoying at night when trying to sleep, as I had the bed closest to the door. I think there were girls in my room who were staying for a while; this was ok except the locker associated with my bed was being used (as well as the one above it, despite the beds being empty) so I just left my backpack on the ground.

The room is spacious, clean and well equipped. The bed is comfortable, toilet is clean and location is relatively near to the city central. It is a present experience to stay at The Bealey Quarter. The WiFi connection in the room is generally fine and no issues with the connectivity. There are heater in the room and water heater in the shower room.

The night may get noisy when there are many people chatting along the corridor. The corridor does not have a heater, so expect to be cold during the winter. Same goes for the toilet bowl seat will be chilly during winter.
