Very spacious rooms with all the facilities I may need. Well equipped kitchenette, air conditioning, sky TV, spacious bathroom and in a good location, especially if you are visiting the beach. Lots of choices for dining out within walking distance. Friendly owner who was happy to look after my luggage once I checked out and had a late flight. Easy access to local airport.

I was super tired when I stayed here as I had just completed a 4 day hike so I fell fast asleep, however, it is located on a main road and my room was at the front so I can imagine it can get a bit noisy. It didn't impact me but it may bother some.

Very spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean apartment. Situated conveniently between Nelson Airport and the city centre and within 5 minutes walk of the golden sandy beach. While there isn't a supermarket nearby, there is a wide selection of eateries in the neighbourhood. We were impressed with the amenities in our unit large screen TV with Sky, very comfortable lounge seating and well equipped kitchen.

Fam needed to crash after a nightmare return from Europe. This suited the bill just fine. Host happily allowed an early check in which was much appreciated as we needed to crash and waiting around for check in would have been a killer. Unit was clean, beds comfy, seperate room for the kids great, all sky channels and a shower over the bath also sold the deal..

Decor could use an update, but a good pick for our purposes.

Clean and had most of what one expects in a Motel. Staff were friendly. Laundry facilities on site. Covered BBQ facility on site with seating area and lights. Beach is just around the corner with heaps of activities for the younger children. Plenty of places to eat, including bar & restaurant. Nice outdoor patio, not very private but good for a morning coffee.

BBQ and surrounding area could do with a thorough clean and water blast. BBQ rubbish-bin was overflowing. Bed was very, very soft - such a pity becasue the room was really lovely.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The apartment was quite large with a table for eating and writing and an extra comfortable chair. The motel is quaint. The apartments look like half-timbered houses. Probably the reason for the reference to Tudors in its name.

It was a bit noisy. Our apartment was really close to a road with a lot of traffic early mornings. Walls were thin. We could clearly hear neighboring guest taking a shower and going to the toilet.

Tudor lodge knowing more about the bus BeeCard and or timetable. Where to get them - Stoke library not just back in Nelson Advice about where to get basic groceries - although no supermarket. Was (similar to a 4square around the corner)

Spacious value for money and friendly staff location to beach perfect plenty of food place right at door step

Unfortunately a road side family unit made it hard to sleep the whole night trucks come through from ferry crossing and even though double glazed the door needed attention to allow this to help silence the road noise

Tony is a great guy! Nice to talk to and his mother is a sweetheart. Breakfast was abundant with lots of choices. My bed was comfortable and the electric blanket made it nice and toasty on a cold night. If it hadn't been raining the next morning, I would have walked down to the path that leads to the lake. Nice to be near the lake, but not around all the touristy areas. When I pass this way again, I will stay at Tony's Lodge.

We had a very nice room - maybe the motel's best, at the back of the main building, quiet and comfortable with private patio - and jacuzzi bath. Good restaurant nearby, and several breakfast options also nearby.

Location is on a highway lined with motels; not much charm, but convenient.

The rooms and amenities were fantastic, as was the couple who expertly maintain this wonderful set of units. I would highly recommend it to all. It was clean, spacious and reasonably priced. The amenities were extensive. I loved the laundry.

There was nothing I didn’t like. After many days of travel, this was the BEST place we have stayed in.
