The staff were very welcoming 🙏. The room was very clean, The location was perfect, close for activities and yet not noisy when it was bedtime. The beds were supercomfy, and the linen was crisp and clean. They have on-site parking and overall one of the best places we have stayed. In comparison to the motels in Sydney and Perth that we have stayed at, this is definitely the best so far, and the price was definitely great value for money. I already told everyone in my family and we will be booking our next stay there again when we go back to Nelson. Thanks to the team at THE BEACHCOMBER for an awesome hassle free stay. 😁

Location was perfect, we were in the centre of where we needed to be. 5min drive from the airport, the Popular Tahunanui Beach within walking distance. Surrounded by Bars & Eatery places. Plenty of parking spaces, our room was the perfect size for us. Coffee & Tea - Bathroom toiletries provided. Place was clean & tidy. Love the shower pressure, the Pool was a bonus, the kids loved it. Continental Breakfast every morning. Oohh Bonus espresso Machine. absolutely enjoyed our stay, amazing hospitality from the team at Beachcomber Hotel. Especially Alana & Lisa. top star lovely ladies deserve a pay rise. you guys have a positive attitude towards customers service, a great sense of humour with Friendly service. Value for money, Thank you for your hospitality. Will definitely be back - definitely recommend this place based on the service provided by all the workers. Goes to show you how they care for their customers

I booked the room with the sauna with optimism that I would get back into yoga in our holiday - however, I didn't get as far to use it. Regardless of this, the Beachcomber was an absolutely excellent choice. Not only was it in a prime location, with the bus route junction, beach and zoo at our doorstep, but the room and spa was excellent. The cleaners I came across on my route to the laundry room were as warm and friendly as the reception staff. I also very much appreciated that the amenities of bathroom products and milk were provided in single, large sustainable options. What was undersold before our trip was the gardens - the courtyard was beautiful. Also shout out to the shower pressure, which felt like a free massage. All in all we will absolutely be staying at the Beachcomber directly any time we visit Nelson.

The only fault I could ever push to think of was not knowing how long the washing machine cycle would take - trivial, when compared to everything else that was absolutely astounding.

The room was spacious including the outdoor patio. There were more towels than just one each. The beds were comfortable and nice and clean. The spa bath was great. Also, the location was great.

I couldn't find an iron which I needed. When I took my child for a swim the pool was dirty and I needed to clean it myself, even though someone on staff came over to tell us the hose was filling the pool up and she didn't offer to clean it or call someone to do it. I also had to ask staff if they could remove the cover to the pool it was 1.30 in the afternoon, shouldn't this have been done already? There was no remote to turn the TV up, it was very low in sound.

They were very busy and a few things had gone a bit awry, so room was a little late being ready. Not a biggie, we could park car and went to find late lunch. Have stayed here a couple of times and will again. It's comfortable, clean and handy to the airport. You can wander the beach and park across the road, I love it. The rooms are a bit old feeling, carpet is worn and stained in places, it's certainly not luxury but it's fine. It was the most expensive place I stayed in the South Island and not the most luxurious. But it's all about location I guess

If it was a little cheaper, I'd be a super happy person😊. But really nothing to dislike.

The location was great for us as we needed to be near the skating rink, lots of options within walking distance, takeaways, cafes, bars, activities for the kids, beach etc. The room was clean and comfortable, staff were lovely and very helpful. We did have ants move in on our second day but the receptionist very kindly, quickly and easily moved us to another room :) There is a well-stocked kitchen if needed for self-catering, and coffee, a selection of teas, hot choc, milk, biccies, shampoo etc supplied.

Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi wasn't reliable, I was hoping to get some work done as we had travelled all day, but couldn't get it to connect, and as we had arrived out of hours the reception was closed so couldn't check.

Awesome bed. Good sized room for a studio room, and small separate kitchenette. Spotlessly clean. This is an older style motel block which I am guessing was top of the range when it was built, and while now a bit dated, is still very functional. Great location, minutes from the beach, and close to a range of eateries.

The bathroom was narrow and a bit awkward, but the water pressure in the shower was awesome :-)

Excellent location for the beautiful beach and large grass area . Comfy bed and clean room. Very friendly staff and helpful . Barbecue area for all to use . Near bus route . Enough places to eat nearby . Microwave was a nice touch with plates/bowls/cups and cutlery provided plus tea,coffee and a fridge

Quite a way from the town area but bus stop only 100m away or a 30/40 minute walk along the sea front which is a nice walk .

Lovely lay out and setting, staff were so patient and helpful in all my dealings with them. Liked the small glass bottles of milk. Toiletries, beverages plentiful and good quality. Extremely clean with good quality and plentiful towels and bedding. Windows that opened, easy to use TV (no netflix thank goodness)heated towel rail, large bathroom and a heater that worked well and was easy to use. The crockery, and utensil were clean and good quality. Able to park car near room. To be picky the hall carpets were slightly worn and about 5.30am on one of the mornings they was quite a loud conversation going on which seemed to be taking place outside the building close to where my room was it lasted about 20mins. Otherwise it was quiet. I would like to gave a very special thanks to the gentleman (on night duty) who answered my cry for help to let me in as I had mislaid my key at 10pm at night. He insisted I got in out of the cold, and tracked a key down for me which included ringing someone who answered his call immediately. He let me in and we found the "mislaid key" in my door lock! He was so patient, pleasant and helpful. So thank you all at the Beachcomber I would definitely stay there again.

location, comfortable bed One staff member said she could cancel breakfast because we were leaving at 7am, which was not what we wanted, but another staff member heard our conversation and said that breakfast could be premade and brought to our room that night. This was great!

the towel rail was hanging off the wall, perhaps the rooms/building need a little updating. It was also very hot and there was no air con. We left the windows open but it was very noisy with rowdy people below coming off the street late at night.
