Where do I start. The hosts were lovely..! The Villa exceeded our expectations. Beyond Instagram worthy to say the least. The weather was spectacular so we got beautiful views while BBQing by the pool. We booked this accommodation for my sons 4th birthday and he was in heaven the entire time. There were manicured gardens, stunning views , even chickens and sheep and a hiking trail on site. So much space and things to do to make any 4 year old boy feel like he was living his best life. We were smiling the whole time because we appreciated the peace and quiet and the beauty around us. I also had 2 teenagers, 16 and 17. Kauri Villas even catered to their needs with the coolest games room equipped with cool lighting and a huge Christmas tree.. The teenagers hardly left the area because it had everything they could want from Pool table, Table tennis and darts, to board games, gaming consoles and just a great space to chill, talk and vibe out. We loved the cottage, The space was perfect, it had everything you needed. Comfiest beds, spacious showers, views, great lighting, strong wifi connection. Felt like home. They Even had a lovely Christmas tree up! But that's not all, we were 3mins from the local shops which were not overpriced at all, Few mins to Onerahi for food top ups and we had several fun visits to the bay just mins away where you will find spacious platforms located under or around trees to sit on and enjoy a pizza while boat watching and taking in the beautiful scenery. There were even people with their fishing lines casted out from the shoreline. Very Kiwi like. I can't imagine not keeping Kauri Villas as our family's favourite place to visit. We will definitely be back, But this time we will be staying a little longer. Thank you to our Hosts and their daughters for having us and for the Spiderman book for my son's Spider man themed birthday. We had a memorable visit. One I will always cherish.

There are so many good things to say about the Kauri Villas. In a nutshell, it is the “SAME” choice I would take next time and recommend to others. By same, I mean the following: “Scenery” is by far the most beautiful one we came across in New Zealand; Mike and Andrea were super “Accommodating” hosts, which made our stay so pleasant; “Maintenance” of the property and facilities(pool, game room/barn, jacuzzi) was very nicely done👏🏼(you can tell the hosts put their heart not just money into it); “Everything-in-one” kind of stay where everyone can find something they like to do on the property (we were with a 4 year old, 2 30 somethings and 2 pensioners). We look forward to staying again.

The location was stunning. The cottage I stayed in was extremely comfortable and clean. The facilities were amazing, I particularly enjoyed the pool and the spa. The hosts Mike and Andrea were so lovely and welcoming. I can't wait to stay there again!

There was nothing that could have been any better, except for the weather when I wanted to go into the pool, but unfortunately we can't change the weather.

From the moment we arrived when Andrea greeted us to the time we sadly had to leave we felt so welcome as if we were long missed friends. Andrea and Mike have a beautiful characterful home set in fantastic grounds offering peace and tranquility. The views as you have breakfast, lovingly and masterfully created by Mike are stunning. We stayed in a self contained chalet in the glorious grounds of Kauri Villas. The space was clean, well equipped and very comfortable with everything you could possibly need. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful with masses of choice, the eggs were provided by the hens on site and were yummy! Mike and Andrea are delightful hosts who clearly care about their guests comfort. Everything was top quality and we loved our stay at Kauri villas.

We made our own breakfast. The facilities were excellent, we had a fantastic stay. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was great, nothing else was needed, it was all there and more.. We would definitely book again, and I highly recommend this to anyone. There was a bush walk with amazing Kauris on the property too, the games room and spa pool were also outstanding and it made for a fun environment.

Very friendly staff who accommodated all of our needs (staff called and texted prior to our arrival to make arrangements as required) - A family oriented and welcoming environment - Beautiful pool and spa - Lovely gardens and sea views from the pool - Games room for the children - We had an additional child join our trip at short notice. Staff had no problems with this, and didn't charge us extra - Affordable pricing for an entire house-like unit

Although beautiful, the location was a bit further than we had expected from the local towns - Because the pool and spa is situated ditectly in front of the owners personal home, it felt somewhat odd to be swimming in full view of their family whilst they relaxed in their lounge etc. That being said the owners were lovely, it just felt strange as we didn't want to be too loud or stay in the pool too long in case we bothered them

LOVED OUR SHORT VISIT We were welcomed warmly and shown around the beautiful property. Breathtaking views, we loved our room. We will return for another visit soon. The pool is inviting the addition of the games room space, which is also inviting. We loved our quiet morning coffee over looking the bay. Super helpful we will be telling all our friends. What a fantastic few days I had at Kauri Villas. The cottage was lovely and quiet, very clean and well appointed. I enjoyed the nightly spa - what a treat! It was also nice to take a bush walk on the property. It is such a wonderful piece of paradise. The owners, Mike and Andrea, were very friendly and hospitable. They were also very accommodating when there was an issue with the online booking.com platform. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend.

Andrea and Mike are very friedly hosts, nice location; tastefully appointed little cottage with all kitchen utensils. Lots of attention given to details like: tastefully selcted glasses and dishes; bathrobes for two; excellent towels, immaculately prepared comfy bed for a good night's sleep; little treats (like chocolates, bikkies, choice of teas). Rivals good hotel standard. Recommended!

Owners Andrea and Mike are clearly passionate about giving a great experience to guests! The vibe is home from home and the decor is, relaxed country family villa. Kids are welcomed too with the pool and games room. It appears they work hard on their property…very clean, very well maintained, spacious, comfy beds/new linen, and the wifi and TV channels are great- photos are accurate. They are full of local info and ready to help but totally not intrusive in any way, i.e. Mike wanted to check that mowing the grass wouldn’t be a bother. Oh the breakfast, perfect eggs with all things to accompany, and an excellent flat white!! Wow the views are a-maz-ing! Got a friend getting married? Check this place out, they have the whole deal in one venue, just beautiful. Ka Pai Andrea and Mike for a relaxing stay.
