The room was cleaned/serviced daily on-demand; heating was excellent via heat pump and a separate wall-heater. Then there was the underfloor heating in the tiled kitchen-area and bathroom ... an incredible benefit as the overnight temperature dropped to 1degC one night! The shower and bathroom facilities were exceptional. Overall, the standard of fixtures and fittings were exceptional, well-maintained, and the overall experience actually really impressive. Free wifi was fast - and maintained its high-speed even during evenings etc. And the motel is close to the town centre - which makes driving in an out very easy. Parking was right outside our room door. You can't ask for better than that!

Our fault really, we'd booked a downstairs room which hardly saw much sunlight this time of the year in NZ (Autumn). Next time we'll stay in an executive room on the top-floor - with a small balcony and which captures the sunlight every afternoon!

This complex could be made much better by attention to some minor maintenance details. ie. window latch broken, replacing silicone around the bottom of the shower that was moldy, very noisy fan in bathroom. TV sound was very quiet which was difficult for my husband who has a hearing problem. The gardens all needed attention. This could be a really great complex with a bit of maintenance and attention to detail.

I sometimes stay here overnight for work and it is one of the best and nicest places to stay in Taupo. It's within walking distance to the city centre (about 10min), roughly about the same to the lake side, the rooms are very nice, comfortable and clean, and, most of all, the host is absolutely amazing. Absolute great communication and very friendly and accommodating. This place will always be my go-to whether for work or leisure.

We have stayed there before but it was under different ownership, This time the experience was different, Not as good on the customer service side , More about the money.

The office was unattended and had to wait for one of the cleaner staff to advise the owner that I was waiting., Zero customer service , Fridge was full of water and leaked on the floor each time the door was opened, A very big group or asian visitors arrived and we're very inconsiderate, Yelling across the carpark at each other .

Comfortable and quiet.

Two tiny personal niggles only - the shelf for crockery was just above floor level and I have trouble bending that far down. At least a higher shelf in the crockery cupboard would help. This was the first time in many years of "motelling" that the water pressure was too high and had to be turned down - but that was way better than the other way around.

It was very spacious for 3 people. I like how it had a balcony and very handy to places. and i also enjoyed rhe swing pool and the spa pool was very relaxing.

Just the view from the balcony, wish we had one by the road side but besides that everything was excellent. oh and when it rained it was very slippery to walk around, and also didnt have anything to cook on.

Pleasant ground-floor 'studio' room - opening onto a small garden patio with table and chairs. Very clean room, kitchen area, and bathroom. And kept that way each day of our stay. Excellent TV and streaming capability/connectivity, with fast internet free wifi. Given all our other usual places we stay at in Taupo were price-gouging over the Xmas period, Chantillys seemed reasonably priced for what was on offer, And were we surprised! It was an amazing motel - easy, secure parking, quiet when you needed it to be quiet, and just what we were looking for as a 'base' for all our activities Lakeside (free diving) and the tennis courts at Acacia bay. I can't praise it enough. That little garden was a godsend for drying wet-suits, towels etc.

We were located on a main road motel-side into the City Centre, which was a bit noisy during the morning and day as you'd expect - but after 5pm or so, things calmed down. At night it was silent right through to morning. So, not much the motel can do about that - although when the road-facing windows and garden doors (glass - modern glazing) were closed, you could barely hear the traffic.

Great location. Had a downstairs room, so no view of lake. I was OK with this as only in room at night. It was a last minute booking. Rang ahead to see when check in was available. Unfortunately they were short-staffed so check-in was later than usual. My credit card was charged twice in error, I was impressed to get a text while driving home about it and they refunded within the hour of me replying. Easy carparking.

No major complaints. Late check-in due to staff shortages (felt for a lot of places with this issue).

I just enjoy my stay at Chantilly’s. Its not too far from the town centre, or lake to walk around instead of using the car.

Chantilly’s was exceptional. What I didnt like was taking my early morning walks and picking up rubbish along the way. Along the streets and along the lake. Next time I will take a rubbish bag with me as bins were few and far between.

We checked in around 8.30pm after a long drive from Wellington and still managed to talk with the receptionist who showed me the room.. was clean tidy an my daughter had an amazing sleep to reset.

There wasn't much to fault.. we got in late meaning my daughter couldn't swim before bed.
