Nice and close to everything and you get a Lakeview from the room and spa bath was great in the room to. The motel cats are a great bonus, one of them slept on our bed aswell. Amazing if you're a cat lover and are missing you're babies.

Well presented unit with good size rooms. Loved that the toilet and shower room were separate, They kept good contact and ensured bedding arrangement was suited to our needs. Receptionist was welcoming and attentive - she remembered us asking about the spar and pool and knew when we called for pool towels, what we would require. On check out she remembered our reason for staying and made us feel welcome guests. Enjoyed the Spa and pool was warm enough to stay in for quite a while in Mid October. Parking was free and easy to use. A easy walk to town too.

Reception staff upon arrival till departure day were very polite and easy to interact with.. Service to accommodate me off my last minute needs, the staff went and beyond to helping me..Am so grateful and appreciated her help. We loved and enjoyed our stay.! Will definitely 💯 recommend this hotel to my friends and families. Bonus part, Taupo Medical Centre across the road if you need any medical attention, very short distance walk to town centre, and again, short distance walk to the lake front Thank you Lake Taupo Motor Inn.

We again enjoyed our stay at the motel. Our room was upstairs with our own spa. It was well set out and clean. The bed was slightly hard for us but is because we have just purchased a new bed. The room was spacious and quiet. The car park was full with numerous cars and lots of children there for the Taupo Rugby tournament which is why we were there. We used the tea making facilities but did not need the motel equipment for meals. The view over the lake was lovely and having a small table and chairs on the balcony.

There was not anything that we did not like.

Clean! Comfortable, Relaxing, beautiful and welcoming reception, meticulous & friendly cleaning staff, Clean! Booked 4 nights, first night our trash bin was faulty so we called after hours, prompt responce, we recieved an apology and assurance, bin replaced next morning, we left in a rush, away all day, returned to beds made fresh, topped up tea coffeee etc booked another night & room (room with lakeview) we loved our last night in this room. We visit Taupo often & stayed many places but first time at the Lake Taupo Motor Inn, tis now our go to when visiting Taupo, highly recommend

We stayed at many hotels during our tour of New Zealand. Lake Taupo Motor Inn stands out as the best of the best. Why? Because it ticks all the boxes - friendly staff (they let us check-in early - really appreciated this), a quick and stress-free check-in, huge rooms (with a patio!), fantastic location - town center and the lake both a short walk away. Can park right up to your room, makes things much easier with heavy suitcases, And great value for money. It deserves all the stars.

Would have been good to have had breakfast facilities on-site - then there are many good places to eat breakfast in the town

I recently stayed at a lovely motel that exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and comfortable, providing the perfect place to unwind after a long day. The location was fantastic—close to local attractions and eateries, making it easy to explore. What truly stood out, was the communication from the staff, making my stay easy and stress free. I highly recommend this motel for anyone looking for a pleasant and hassle-free experience!

Our room had more than everything you'd need and was very comfortable- there was even a fairly large closet. The kitchenette was perfect for making a small breakfast and coffee, the patio off of our room was lovely, and the room was bright and sunny. The housekeepers were very friendly as well. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the lake, and about 10-15 minute walk from the main section of restaurants and the marina.

As I had seen in another review, laundry is very expensive to do here (I think $25).

The pool was warm and open until 8pm, you just have to take the cover on and off yourself. The spa was good as well and also open until 8pm, although the bbq area still had rubbish sitting there from ages ago, as it was full of rainwater. The room was great, liked how the bathroom was between the kids room and main room so we could watch TV without them hearing any noise. The kitchen was well equipped to cook, hotplate, toaster, microwave, fridge, and enough pots/pans and utensils for what we needed.

The curtains were very light and with lots of lights outside at night it perpetually seemed like it was morning and it was really hard to sleep. Pool area could do with a tidy up, meat trays and food rubbish left near the bbq could be easily cleaned away but looks like they havent been checked in some time, would hate to think what the actual bbq looks like!.

The flat have a lot of space. Also the kitchen have all you need for cooking. In general it was clean, only little things to do better.

I had hairs from the guests before in the shower, sink and bed. You could see, that it were "washed and cleaned" hears. So the sheets in the bed were clean, but maybe you can have an eye on that. Because in general it was clean, the hairs doesn't fit in the "picture".
