The room warmed up quickly and they turned on lights and heater for our arrival. It was roomy and the bed was really comfortable!! Good communication from the reception staff, the direction map information to the unit was really good.

It was dark when we arrived, it was middle of winter, nearly shortest day. The villa would have been easier to identify with better lighting on the number identifying the unit. Also better lighting on the Quality Suites sign on arrival, so you drive into the correct entry driveway. The exterior light of the villa was not working this may have made our unit more obvious, fine once we got there. A fresh set of curtains would lift the unit.

Had not visited Taupo previously, so booked into a 1BR initially. Clean, comfy cute cottage Decided to stay another couple of days and do some of the activities in the region. Great location

I had arranged a late check-in. Unfortunately the office was closed by the time I arrived. Luckily my keys were available for collection. Address is not what appears on the Booking.com site, so it took me nearly an hour to locate the correct address. THE CORRECT ADDRESS IS 30 SORRENTO DRIVE, RANGITIRA PARK, TAUPO The address which is advertised on Booking.com looks like a church hall and is 3 blocks away from where I needed to go.

Staff were warm and friendly. Check in was a breeze. Location is perfectly central but tucked away enough from the riff raff of being in the heart of town. The open green space adds to the ample spaciousness. The kitchenette had everything we needed and even some of the nice-to-haves of being “at home”. The heater on in our room in the cold chill of winter prior to arriving was an extra touch that was unexpected but very well received!

Water pressure in the shower was pretty ordinary but in fairness, this isn’t something within their control and it was far from a dealbreaker (perhaps it’s a more deliberate strategy in support of environmental sustainability which I respect!)

The beds are comfortable to sleep in. The house is clean. The staff is amazing - there was an issue during my late/after hours check-in (the welcome envelope assigned for us disappeared), after giving them a call, the staff came in and resolved the issue and more, as prompt as possible. The location is great, about 5 or so minutes drive away from the town - far enough to be in a quiet and tranquil area, and close enough if I need anything from the town.

We were using the same wifi signal from the reception and since the house is a fair distance from the reception, the signal is sketchy at best in the house that was assigned for us. We can barely get any signal at all. But there was also a different strong wifi signal in the house, but it was password protected. We are not sure if that is a dedicated wifi for the house assigned to us or not, we did not get the chance to ask, since it was late night and the staff is gone when we found out about it all.

It was very homely, had everything we needed including plenty blankets, the bed was the best bed I have ever slept in (I am a very fussy mattress person). The kitchen was fab that we could have brekkie and drinks before going out. The location is really nice not being near noisey traffic or lit up near town but not far from town either. Finally the price for two was amazing, really worth it!!!

The shower head was slightly lose which I’m sure wouldn’t take much to fix. Maybe a table in that spare space in the bathroom to sit toilet bags etc on.

Loved the location and the layout of the Villas on the grounds. The size of our room was fantastic, beds were good enough and linen was nice and fresh. Room was well equipped including iron, hair dryer. Very comfortable.

Our shower didn't drain immediately although pressure was great. I would have liked the room to be a little cleaner. Also, one more minor thing, there was a bowl of cigarette butts outside. OK if you're smokers, but we are not.

The price per night for what you get makes this motel, in my opinion, one of the best places to stay in Taupo. Perfect location, secluded enough to feel safe leaving our belongings and vehicles there, but close enough to town to be practical. Great staff, lovely and clean abode. Perfectly liveable for a night or two.

The shower holder was broken, luckily the shower head is detatchable from the wall, so no real problem there. Just wasn't ideal is all.

Fantastic space set within easy reach of amenities. Homely feel with excellent kitchen, lounge and spacious bedrooms. Car parking adjacent to property. Lovely and quiet. Receptionist was incredibly friendly and helpful signposting and sharing top tourist tips. Would definitely stay again

Bed rooms were very hot as air con was only in the lounge and although fans were provided they were too noisy to sleep with on

Picturesque village style accommodation. Comfortable bed. Roomy apartment with kitchenette. Quiet location. Helpful staff.

We couldn't find a staff member when we arrived to check in and the phone went to voicemail. The only air-conditioner was in the main room, so the bedroom was chilly. There were lots of 'do not' style printed messages around the place which felt a bit over the top. You need a car to go into Taupo.

Staff were very approachable and accommodating. Easy check in, quiet location and handy to what we needed. Beds very comfortable :)

Accommodation was okay, as others have said a little tired but the owners are working at upgrading items. Would have been helpful to have an extra tea towel, and more dishwashing liquid but this certainly didnt affect our overall stay.
