Perfect location for time of year winter/early spring. Not ideal for summer stay if want to be away from the noise of the central location. But for our January trip it was ideal and perfect. Friendly breakfast staff. Management team was easy to get in touch with. Rooms cleaned each day. Tidy & very clean. Great shower. Pool this time year was clean but bit cold due to low lying sun which can't be helped but would be enjoyable during later months of the year.

We were in No. 1 apartment down stairs. Quite noisy at times during the night, with upstairs toilet drains coming past walls of room and drains. Along with something on outside of wall going off during night twice most nights during stay, but for short time. One half of the double bed mattress was all sunked in, hard to lie on and sore. Springs gone. Otherside of bed was comfortable. Could do with new mattress. This was biggest discomft of the holiday. But can be easily changed. If returning I was seek a room upstairs.

Beautiful roof top terrace with pool and breakfast area, very central location in the old town (close walking distance to the beach), very friendly staff and daily cleaning, „pool house room“ (room with garden view) felt nicely private in December when we had most of the rooftop for ourselves with not too many guests visiting at the same time. Very welcoming atmosphere, delicious small breakfast on the rooftop terrace. All in all a Wonderful stay, thank you!

Off season it was perfect for us but i imagine it might be a bit noisy due to the central location during the main season (if you’re looking for a quiet vacation like we did). Breakfast was a bit smaller than I imagined from the pictures but it was delicious and served with lots of love which was a heartwarming start into the day. The

Casa Malpique is perfectly situated in the heart of the old town, surrounded by an array of restaurants, cafes, and shops. Although it's not accessible by car, the taxi drop-off point is just a short 5-minute walk away, making it easy to reach. Inside, the hotel offers a charming and cozy atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The room was lovely—clean and well-appointed with a comfortable bed that ensured a good night's sleep. The rooftop pool is a highlight, providing stunning views of the area. It's an ideal spot to unwind, whether you're enjoying breakfast in the morning or relaxing in the evening after a day of exploring. Wi-Fi excellent, super strong and super fast

While breakfast offered plenty of coffee, tea, bread, butter, and jam, along with a selection of pastries like croissants, pain au chocolat, and pastel de nata, the options were quite limited. Each person received only one egg, one type of salami, and one type of cheese, which felt a bit too simple for our taste.

Lovely place. Self check in. Good location located in the old town steps from a main square with restaurants, shops, music, etc. Short walk to the beach and to my Flix bus stop. Close to pedestrian streets with lots of stores and places to eat. Excellent breakfast, rooftop pool with lounge chairs, umbrellas, tables and chairs. Just outside my room was a balcony with a view of the square. Helpful staff with excellent communication about how to check in.

I didn't dislike this, but my room had the bed up some steps in a loft, so if you have mobility issues or if you're very tall, select a room that doesn't have a loft bed.

Brilliant location in the heart of the Old Town. Spotlessly clean. Nice room (room 4), though the reception and the stairs to the upper apartments is right outside the door, so it could be a little noisy for light sleepers. The pool area is fabulous, lovely to have breakfast in, and I'm sure it would be delightful in hot weather.

On my first morning at 7.30am, I texted the management about a warning sound going off on the alarm control panel (plus the emergency exit light suddenly lit up in my room). Someone came and switched it off at 7.45 but I could not sleep after that. I never got a response from the management, which I thought was very unresponsive. The lady who makes the breakfast is lovely, but only one egg per person is allowed for breakfast! The noise from the square might be a problem for some people - I was there in Jan/Feb and the music stopped at 11.30pm so it was OK. But really, the stay was lovely overall, and these are small issues in the scheme of things.

Clean, but could benefit from a fresh coat of paint. Decor was bright & had a nice "feel good factor". Staff were lovely & helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Pool area was lovely. Excellent shower. Enjoyed my stay on the whole.

The accommodation is not very sound proof & you can hear neighbours in the upstairs rooms. Location is good but music from nearby bars can be heard at night, although generally stopped by 12. The breakfast area by the pool is lovely but doesn't catch the sun first thing making it quite cool, so would recommend a covering, although staff did put on the heater & provide a blanket when this was mentioned. Beds were a little 'lumpy' & could benefit from a new mattress.

The shower and bed were excellent. The free breakfast was delicious with eggs, toast, cheese, ham, fresh fruit, yogurt and good coffee. Elena the woman who makes and serves breakfast is a real treasure. She is so sweet and joyful to be around. Location is right in the heart of the town so everything is an easy walk.

We were in room 2 and it is a bit small. Good for a short stay.

The facilities were great - a lovely peaceful terrace with a pool and sun beds, where you could have breakfast. Good shower, kettle in the room. Very close to a busy square so a convenient location. We parked about 5 mins walk away and went down some steps. Check in was easy using key codes. Overall a brilliant stay.

There was a green security light in the bedroom that we couldn't seem to turn off. We could hear the noise from the square with the windows open but you could cancel that out by closing them and using the Aircon.

A wonderful position that is able to grant a quiet relaxing place in the old centre of Albufeira. Large and various beakfast. Very comfortable beds. Modern bathroom. Clean room and area around the pool.

The pool area is fantastic with all the trees, the bougainvillea and the agapanthus flowers. If I may suggest, please take a look at the tree between the pool and the external shower... It should be better removed as dry. It has died most probably due to Cochineal.

Perfect location next to the old town square but behind a building to keep the worst noise away. There are stairs to climb and no lift. No TV which was surprising. There is no reception, check-in/-out are automatic, so also no one to ask for advice or help. The breakfast hostesses were truly friendly and helpful and the breakfast is very good with toast, pastries, cereals, youghurt, omelette and great coffee.

Not sure if you could leave your luggage after check-out as the codes to get in stop working.
