Big room, big bathroom, balcony with nice view, the pool was big, nice atmosphere, helpful and polite staff.

It was difficult to carry the luggage from the parking to the room. There was no power outlets near the bed. It was only one power outlet in the room.

The staff were welcoming and attentive. The hotel has a swimming pool with good view, tennis court, game room... Far from the city, it is really quiet at night. but the whole hotel seems a bit old, you can hear the AC making noise at night if you use it.

We had some issues as our flight got cancelled but the staff members worked really hard to insure that we got a refund for the days we didn’t stay even though bookings.com made it difficult. The staff really went above and beyond and we were super happy because otherwise we would’ve paid for double how much we actually stayed! The pool was nice, the views were stunning and the food portions were great.

There could’ve been more variety at breakfast, only scrambled eggs and not that tasty sausages and a lot of bread and other tidbits but I wish there was a bit more hot food such as hash browns, and other stuff.

Absolutely love the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of this hotel. I’ve stayed at this property a number of times and have recommend it far and wide. The breakfast is basic but the food in the restaurant is very good for lunch & in the evening. It’s not a posh hotel, it’s a friendly county hotel which is excellent value for money and the views are breathtaking.

No complaints from me.

Alte is a quiet village,with interesting places to see the fonte, the water fall, good food at folklore, and baltasar, gypsy markets near by, .alte hotel is ideal for a relaxing holiday.

Rooms were a bit outdated but clean lick of paint here and there wouldn’t go a miss the out side area tennis court, volleyball court, squash could do either a tidy up and refresh

Yes things are a bit old but compared to the attractive price it was just fantastic. If I could change one thing. I would replace that awful coffee machine In the breakfast room. But the team was so nice and friendly and on the second day I got an espresso from the machine in the restaurant which was fantastic too

It’s in the perfect location! Clean and well taken care of!

The only thing missing is tea and coffee facilities in the rooms and possibly a little fridge! That would have made it an excellent stay!!

The bed is the most comfortable we have slept on in Portugal ! So comfy we stayed another night. The swimming pool was good

The breakfast buffet basic hot food , The scrambled egg was cold , no other choice for vegetarians more shade around the swimming pool would be good it was too hot for me to lie on a sunbed.
