A beautiful hotel in a lovely location between Porto and the Vineyards of the Douro Valley, elevated and overlooking the river and it's own vineyard (as does the infinity pool!) The rooms are modern and well appointed. We had a room in the original stone building so, as others have said, these are small, but perfectly adequate for us with a fantastic view. There are also new, modern buildings, and separate villas too so, if space is required then these may suit better. The whole place is spotlessly clean and managed by friendly, English speaking staff. Car parking is plentiful, free and secure. The restaurant is small and informal with an excellent menu for lunch and dinner as well as great wines, as you might expect. If we'd had the time we'd have stayed longer. We hope to return to this lovely place on another occasion and explore this region further.

The property is great, and well located. It has a beautiful view on the Douro valley, and it is well positioned if you want to go to some of the river’s beaches around. The room was very nice, and the bed super comfortable. Overall, super clean and pleasant. The staff is great, polite, and helpful. We would definitely like to go back.

The breakfast is a bit poor. Considering the variety of food that you can find in Northern Portugal, we were expecting a bit more choice. Most of it was store bought, and with little personality. The pool is great, but it can get crowded. Most people leave the towels on the sun-chairs and then never show up. Sometimes we had to ask for the reception to remove them.

We spent a birthday here and the staff was so sweet to help make the day even more special. They made sure the champagne I had pre-ordered was there when we arrived, the table I booked for dinner was by the window and the candles in the dessert were there without me having to remind them. What a wonderful place this is, in the countryside of Porto overlooking the river and vineyards. Beautiful room, great view, good breakfast and nice bar with a view to the river

A little hiccup on arrival was very soon resolved. The manager owned the problem and made sure we were completely satisfied with the alternative offered - which were.

We stayed for four nights in one of the standard villas which was perfect for all our needs. I requested a cot which was kindly provided and in our room upon arrival. The manager who checked us in was so helpful through our stay. The villa was spotlessly clean and housekeeping would come everyday. We found all the food at the hotel to be excellent, whether that be breakfast included in the room rate, lunch by the pool or the evening menu in the restaurant.

The hotel is located by the river, so the views are amazing, throughthout all seasons. It's a great place to escape from the city center and relax. The room was very comfortable and the hotel beautifully decorated. The staff was very friendly, both on the hotel and the bar down by the river.

The jacuzzi was under maintenance during our stay this time, so we weren't able to enjoy it.

Beautiful grounds on the river, nice pool and jacuzzi, and tasteful designer rooms with great views. Excellent breakfast! However dinner entres were a little subpar but excellent appetizer and vino. Overall, the perfect last night in Portugal and easy access to the car rental return location at the Oporto Airport.

Lovely and well-maintained hotel grounds. Everything is very clean & modern. Beautiful pool with view on vineyard & river. I especially enjoyed the bar which served a great selection of drinks and tasty snacks.

- Breakfast is quite small and has not many options. - Restaurant menu is a bit small and there aren’t many restaurants in the area. - Pool was very cold

The property was really well made – the architecture and arrangement of the place are beautiful. The staff was wonderful, everyone was really friendly, helpful and kind. We stayed in the larger villas which had beautiful views. The beds and all furniture actually were super comfortable, everything was clean and really well organised. The place was quiet despite it being quite close to a road.

There's only one restaurant at the property which had really limited options in terms of style, dietary requirements or taste. There were no light dishes, fresh salads or dairy-free options. The staff and chef were really helpful regardless. The area is really isolated. We should have checked before we went, but there were really few places to go for a walk in the area. We felt a bit stuck.

The site is beautifully located close to the Tâmega river. The apartment room was extremely nice. Staff very friendly.

Restaurant didn’t have a kids menu or any option for kids. Pool doesn’t have enough chairs and umbrellas for guests.
