What a boutique hotel! An old town house, completely renovated, 8 individually equipped and designed guest rooms. A perfect location in Rua do Almada, a one way street which is not really a beautiful street in itself but a place where innovation coexists with tradition. In walking distance to the most important sightseeing spots and restaurants (thanks Bruno for the list!), spacious and comfortable guest room, creative furniture and style, air condition on the spot, a delicious buffet breakfast and the best are the people, working for this property. Extremely friendly, helpful and charming. Thanks Bruno and Martim and the rest of the team! Those five nights were an experience! Thumbs up!

The hotel is lovingly furnished down to the smallest detail, only the coffee machine in the breakfast room is not in keeping with the spirit of the times. We would like to see a more professional coffee machine here. But that's ‘complaining on a high level’!

The location of the hotel is fantastic, short walk to most of the attractions. There are also many nice restaurants very close by. The staff of the hotel was very pleasant, attentive and helpful to any of our needs. The breakfast was really nice with fresh juices, fruit and many other choices of the usual morning menu.

The hotel is located in an old renovated building, so it has its own charm, but also very noisy flooring. The noise of the floor above would be the only complaint, but we would gladly stay again!

Overall, it was a great experience. 👍

Beyond my expectations.

Comfortable, clean, quiet room on the top floor. It had a nice terrace with a view over the roofs of Porto and a bit of the city hall cupola. Good location for walking to most places. We used Uber at the end of the day for the trip back up the hill to the hotel. Breakfasts were ample, with eggs cooked to order. Bruno was especially friendly and helpful.

Awkward shower design made it a bit difficult to get in and out. We also didn’t see the need for the full-sized door out to the terrace from the back of the shower. Although we really appreciated the blackout shade over the outside of the floor to ceiling, east-facing windows, it would have been nice to also have a sheer privacy curtain inside so that we didn’t have to choose either full exposure or darkness.

Lovely hotel. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Especially the gentleman who checked us in on the Wednesday. Room was lovely. Very big and spacious. Location is perfect. Close to everything but out the way of all the tourists.

Although breakfast was lovely, I think the hotel could look at getting more vegetarian/vegan options. I would also advise anyone booking the rooms on the top floor, the seagulls are very loud all night. We struggled to sleep.

Almadina was in a central location on a quiet street. Our room was spacious (the bathroom was huge with double sinks), on the 4th floor (with lift) and had a terrace. The shower was great - tons of hot water and good pressure. The staff was super friendly and available to answer questions, make recommendations, and organize transportation. Breakfast had a nice selection of cheese, meats, pastries, yogurt, cereal, and you could request eggs or an omelet.

A few things to note, the bed was very firm and there wasn't a safe (the location and the building seemed very secure so this was not an issue for us).

Great location & staff were really friendly & helpful. Quirky hotel with lots of character & felt family run. Lovely balcony which got the evening sun & allowed us to sit out in the evening with a glass of wine or coffee. Coffee machine, wine glasses & fridge all in hotel room. Good breakfasts. Easy walking distance (15 mins) to Douro river & Riberia area etc. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Sometimes smell from sink but not hotel’s fault.

The room was perfect, with a lovely, spacious balcony that revealed a part of the city (with 2 sights). The furniture was very classy and the bed really comfortable. It was very clean. The breakfast was perfect. The personnel was more than friendly and helpful in every aspect. They all work with their heart it seemed and are there for all guest requests. A true - feel at home - experience. We hope to return some day in the future.

Great location just outside the crazy busy port area. Less than 10 minute walk from the river. Our room was very funky. Real fast was very good and staff are very friendly.

Room was a bit small for a family of 4. It was obviously a room for 2 and they added another bed. No door separating the living area from the washroom area was a bit strange. There is a door to the toilet and another for the shower, but you have to change your inside the shower stall and there are no hooks in the shower to hang your clothes or your towel. Also the rooms could use some drawers to store clothes etc.
