Really comfortable and the maître on breakfasts / the housekeeping staff were particularly welcoming

Restaurant lacking in choice and atmosphere. Uncomfortable seating in bar & mezzanine . Sometimes there were no staff at all in bar & restaurant! Pool very small with massive plastic duck in it! Room smaller than expected. Window in bathroom into bedroom, lack of privacy and if you go to the bathroom at night & turn on light , it wakes up the other person. Also only full length mirror directly opposite toilet! No mirror in bedroom ! No pillow menu even though it was on hotel website. Had to ask several times for replacement of tea , coffee & fresh milk.

We had a lovely stay here. Our room "with a view" faced the plaza and I was worried about noise but I needn't have worried, the room was soundproof. The room decor was pretty and the shower super powerful. The staff at check-in were super helpful, giving us tips of places to visit along with a map (we found a super wine bar this way!). The service was excellent and we felt like we had a 5* experience, but travelling out of season meant it was fantastic value for money! Yay for us. Great location for all the sights despite not being next to the river. Very central. We would stay here again.

The hotel's bar was a bit small and lacking atmosphere, but it didn't matter. The room's bathroom had a porthole window which was ok for us but could be awkward for new couples or friends!

Location is fantastic, between all the main areas we wanted to visit. Gym was well equipped. We got a room upgrade and thought the room was lovely. Staff were super friendly. Lobby was gorgeous and smelt amazing! We didn’t have breakfast.

Some things about the room could be improved really easily for little cost - the door lock didn’t work, there were not enough hooks for towels, there was only one soap / shower gel so we had to keep swapping it from the shower to the sink. None of these impacted our stay but they did let the hotel down a little bit and made it feel less luxurious than it did otherwise.

The hotel was beautiful and rooms had their own flare. I loved the bed and pillows provided. The hotel is located in a super central area and I felt safe as a solo traveler in this area. The staff were so kind and friendly - thank you :) I was super impressed with the daily clean of the rooms - it was super thorough and even the bedroom floors got mopped daily. Room service food was delicious Gym was small but had latest high tech equipment (I was only one in there so size wasn’t an issue) The departure gift was a cute touch.

If I had to be picky (given this is a 5 star hotel)…The pool was a little underwhelming….it felt more like a water feature than a pool. The area could benefit from some sunbeds to make it more inviting / cosy. I was lucky enough to be the only person using the pool so I could lay by the pool edge. This is the only reason I didn’t rate the hotel 10/10 as a pool is important to me on vacation for some down time. Other minor details…Room service menu was quite small with limited choices. The chrome cast on the tv was playing up - I was lucky to have my laptop though so it was okay. Outside signage to the entrance of the property wasn’t super obvious/clear.

No bathroom slippers or a chair to sit in-spite of a 5 star hotel

We stayed for 3 nights. I requested extra pillows at booking which were provided. Room was clean and bed very comfortable, queen size. Shower was spacious and pressure good. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We appreciated the little chocolates on the pillow and fresh bottle of water daily. Coffee from pods provided was nice. AC kept room a comfortable temperature. Location is excellent, right by Aliados metro, bus stops close by to access all parts of Porto and close to good restaurants and cafes. We didn't eat here and unfortunately didn't have time to use the pool. Other reviews mentioned lack of space. I think bedrooms are good size. Luggage rack, chair and wardrobe provide enough space to store clothing, especially if you use the drawers and shelves in bedside cabinets.

It would have been helpful to have hooks in the room to hang coats.

Hotel is very nice but small bedrooms and bathroom, although very comfortable bed. Excellent central location and very quiet rooms. Hotel ambience is very chilled and spacious and a nice hotel bar. Ultra helpful and pleasant staff with the exception of the breakfast room.

Breakfasat staff were very slow, hard to get a cup of coffee; not very attentive overall. Ran out of eggs but plenty of pastries, fruit and yoghurt. A pot of coffee on the table would have been very nice but it was all rather manual service.

The interior was so stylish and beautiful, and comfortable. The staffs were very friendly and welcoming. The best part of the hotel was the location- it’s dead central, so every direction I go out, there’s different type of exploration I could plan. And even just walking around, I need to take a break ( bathroom, shower, hiding from the sun, changing clothes) it was so easy to get to.

Hard to find any.
