Location was superb, in the very center, right on the bank of the river, with exquisite views from the windows. Room was a little bit on a small side, but sufficient, and quite inexpensive, considering location. Staff was very nice and friendly. Plenty of great restaurants around, including absolutely amazing Fado place Mal Cozinhado - just 300 m from the hotel along the river.

The room was a bit too dark in the evenings - should install brighter lights. We tried breakfast just once - it was sufficient, but not great, so we preferred to eat outside.

The room was a little small and would have benefitted from having tea making facilities in the room. I would not have described it as a superior twin.

Their was a fantastic view of the Luiz I bridge from our hotel room. It was a short walk to the city center, but it was a little less chaotic than other parts of the city (although we could hear live music in the square every day, but it ended pretty early and was never loud enough to be an annoyance). If you are a walker and don't have a car to worry about, this hotel is awesome.

We could have used more details on how to access the hotel--it is in a car-free area, but our communications were not that helpful in figuring out how to drop off my husband's parents close to the hotel, or where to park. Private cars are not permitted on the Luiz I bridge, so keep that in mind when you're planning your trip.

The towel rail was very high on the wall and the shower head top holder so high I couldn't reach it, the shower head had to stay and body level, couldn't stand underneath, are Portuguese people giants?! Strange. No tea/coffee facilities in room

The view! We did not use the AC so not sure if it worked or how.

Shower, the head was old the water came our in 2 big section rather than the wholes plus on the wall there was to holder position one in the heigh or your stomach one way above your head, so up the water hitting your face hurts and it would even bend cause it's to close to the wall. No position in between just that two spots on the wall so that was not fun! For the money they could have put a separate shower gel, shampoo and conditioner not a 3in1 bottle that was actually pretty bad even for showering. Glad I took my own with me but for a hotel for the money I would rather have those than have someone fold the bed after a night sleep.

The hotel is ideally position with a view of Luis 1 Bridge & the river. It is centrally positioned in the old town & to cross over the bridge to see both sides of the river. The rooms are spotless & cleaned daily, with bottled water & towels replaced each day. The staff are always friendly & helpful. We found it was close to lovely restaurants & shopping. Both train stations are within a 15minute walk. There was a small balcony to the front of our room which provided fabulous views & atmosphere. Although central we did not find it noisy but atmospheric when music played outside when we opened the doors to the balcony . I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We liked this hotel very much.

We loved the location -right in the middle of all the activity that defines this section of the town.

It was unfortunate that I misstepped and fell right outside of the hotel. The delightful hills and cobblestone streets that define the area also is treacherous walking. The traveler MUST watch their every step, lest they tumble as I did -and ended up in The hospital with a torn quad tendon. That incident ruined the rest of our vacation, but the hotel, its staff and the location are excellent!!

Clean and nice modern decor. Great breakfast and helpful and friendly staff. Good location . The hotel itself was a quiet environment.

Although the location was good in terms of access to attractions the amount of noise from the bars and buskers on the square was intolerable and prevented us from getting adequate rest. The hotel would benefit from having soundproofing for rooms overlooking Praca Ribeira. I would have liked to have been offered a quieter room. It should be made clearer on the booking.com site just how noisy it is.

Great location in Porto. Overlooking square with # of outdoor cafes, the River & views of Dom Luis bridge (200m away). Overlooks Gaia on other side of river where Port cellars/tours are. Very good restaurants stone’s throw away. Room not overly large but adequate for 2 pers, good bed, good bathroom & shower, good wifi. Clean. Staff very helpful. Private & hire cars (I assume this also means Uber) can not access location ( obvious why when you come), taxis can. Don’t need a car in this area of Porto anyway.
