Room was cozy and clean, with a nice character added by the nautical accent of the decor. The location is wonderful: it's less than 10 minutes from the conference center, metro station and most of the touristic attractions, and good places where to eat. The staff was wonderful in making me feel welcome, providing me with suggestions on what to do and experience for my short stay. They were always very attentive to see if anything was needed, and they were very helpful with advice on transportation by offering to book a late night taxi to catch a very early morning flight on my last day. The place overall has a very nice decor, it's very clean as I noticed that was daily very well taken care of, and they offer small things that helps making one feel more comfortable (free filtered water, coffee and tea at market price, they have an iron and ironing board if needed). I took advantage of the breakfast and it was very lovely, it is abundant and freshly made and I definitely advise to try as it can be arranged on a day-to-day base. Definitely a recommended place, with good value!

This has nothing to do with the hotel, just a note for other travelers regarding the area: the location is the heart of the tourist life of Port, as I experienced. If you are on a business trip for a conference and you have troubles with nightly noises, maybe this is not ideal, although it is such a lovely place and so close to the convention center. To me it did not matter, as I don't have troubles sleeping, but just letting other travelers know in case this might be helpful.

It was very clean with a great view of the river.

It was barely big enough for the very small bed. No room to walk around the bed or even open our suitcases. The ceiling fan and light did not work. Even though reported never got fixed. It rained a lot and water leaked in through the bottom of the balcony doors so the carpet was wet the whole time. The roof leaked and there was constant dripping on the beams in the ceiling.

the stairs are treacherous- not just narrow, steep and shallow space to put your foot, both the height and depth are irregular. you will need ear plugs, there are restaurants with live amplified outdoor music just below the room, windows are not double glazed.

We loved the location. It is where everything is happening. Street vendors, musicians, restaurants and the ever changing view of the Douro River. Because you are above the action it is not a quiet location. We like being in the center of the action where it is easy to join the activities. The street sounds were part of the charm for us. We loved our host Breno who was happy to help with anything we needed including luggage and an uber ride. He is well suited in the hospitality industry.

The room is very small and with luggage and two people a tight squeeze. It would be brighter to have wooden floor instead of the rug.

The balcony is excellent, sitting there is such a lovely holiday experience. The views were exceptional. The location is brilliant

These very cute old traditional buildings have very tiny rooms. If you don't have a balcony, you won't have any space to chill out. The piccies show mirrored walls, so don't be confused about room size. The rooms are clean. The beds weren't turned down every day, though, which was a bit annoying. I did say my towels didn't need replacing, maybe that was misinterpreted as meaning not to bother at all

Location and view were amazing! Valeria took care of all details for our arrival. She is fantastic!

As other guests have noted, there is room noise from the river walk at this location. This was expected and ended by 11pm. Unfortunately, the guests upstairs from our room were very loud late at night.

The location is superb, in the middle of everything. The view is unbeatable. Self check in was easy (came late in the evening), stuff was very nice in the following days. The building and rooms are fully renovated, bright and nicely decorated. I am staying here again next time :)

If you are a light sleeper don't forget to bring your earplugs for sleeping because the riverfront street is very noisy and although your windows are closed you'll still hear a lot of noise. You also hear everything from the stairs and room above you, but since the building is renovated in the old way as preservation rules go, there is not much that can be done. The rooms are very tiny, with no table/space to work.

The property is great, located on the riverside 5 minute walk to Ponte Luiz bridge. We stayed in a riverside room. It had a small balcony with two chairs. Perfect to enjoy the view in the morning and watch the sunset over the river. Although the room was slightly smaller than the photographs it was the perfect size with good storage facilities a comfortable bed and everything you needed. We stayed for two nights and had breakfast for both mornings. The breakfast was a great idea that we had not experienced before. You had a tray prepared with fruit, yogurts , pastries, bread and more and you could eat it in the dining area or take it to your room from 8am onwards. It was great where we could sit on our balcony and enjoy breakfast. In the dining area there were great breakfast facilities and €1 per coffee from a Nespresso machine which is very reasonable. Over all the guest house is in a great location, the staff were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely recommend to family and friends.

There really was not anything wrong with the property itself, all facilities were great. The only small issue some guests may face in summer months is there is no air con. There is a fan which worked well enough for us in 18 degrees celsius in November. As well as the promenade the guest house is situated on can get pretty noisy from the restaurant below. This is only with the shutters open and the noise does not keep you awake at night. The restaurants close around 10pm and you don’t hear a thing once the shutters are closed.

Great location... right on the river on the front and a great alley way with nothing but restaurants in the back... very very convenient to almost all areas. We walked almost everywhere with no issues! The room, while small, was very nice, clean and exactly what a suite should be, old style windows with a contemporary upgrade, a little haven after a long day... no issues with any of the facilities in the room, everything worked well. Breakfast was very good and more than enough for 2 people... with a nice variety of items on it. The young lady working as the concierge was very nice and helpful and had some great ideas for touring around and the 'must see' in Porto... a lovely person, she made the stay even more pleasant.

There wasn't anything that we disliked with the suite, recommendations to make it better though would be... possibly adding air conditioning (the fan did work well though) and a small refrigerator (possibly get rid of one of the end tables and put the refrigerator in its place), it would be nice to be able to bring back some snacks or wine that needs to be chilled... other than that, the room was as advertised. The location, while prime, is a little noisy, a lot of street sounds from the restaurant side... would have been nice to have been able to take advantage of the cool nights by opening the windows. Again, nothing to do with the room...

I really loved the location. Near the train station. Walking distance for all the attractions in old Town Porto. The suites were kept very clean with housekeeping every day. The Manager, Andreia, was so very nice and helpful and was very competent and efficient. There is also a great eating area with a coffee machine and tea. A toaster is also there and cold drinking water.

There were lots of stairs to get to the top suite but also good exercise!
