Property is in an outstanding location, beautifully designed and decorated. It’s surrounded by restaurants, bars and shops. So close to all the major monuments and a short walk down hill to the waterfront!! I ate in the hotel and the food is outstanding seriously good chef must be leading this property.

Can be a little challenging to for the Uber to find the driveway so they can pull off the road. But I am sure a sign is coming.

I recently stayed at this newly built hotel located in the very center of Porto, and it was an excellent experience overall. The hotel boasts a great designer interior, where it’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into every detail of the decor. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, always going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. Their attentiveness truly made a difference. The location is perfect for exploring Porto’s main attractions on foot. The hotel also features a nice restaurant with a delightful menu, as well as a large indoor pool—ideal for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. If you're looking for a stylish stay with excellent amenities and a prime location, this hotel is a great choice!

Some of the design and architectural choices might be a bit polarizing, but they undeniably add character to the space.

We had a great stay at the Wine & Books Porto Hotel. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel with contemporary décor, and we were warmly welcomed with cocktails upon arrival, which was such a nice touch. Our deluxe room was incredibly spacious! The shower was huge and very comfortable, and the bed was equally large and cozy, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The food was both generous and tasty, and the staff was kind and welcoming.

While the hotel has underground parking, the space is limited. When we arrived in the evening during the busy December holidays, the parking lot was full, and we had to spend an hour driving around the city center to find a spot far from the hotel. Additionally, we didn’t like the smart switches in the room. They’re difficult to see in the dark, and we had to use our phone flashlight to locate the right buttons.

I had an outstanding experience at Wine & Books Porto Hotel. The room was absolutely precious—tastefully designed with elegant colors, stylish furniture, and a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. The room was spotless, and the cleanliness throughout the hotel was impeccable. The bathroom design was modern and luxurious, with a fantastic shower. As an Arab and Muslim traveler, I particularly appreciated the addition of a water bidet, which made the stay even more comfortable and convenient. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Porto, just a short walk from many key attractions and historical landmarks, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful, always ready to assist with any needs. With its great facilities, superb location, and excellent service, Wine & Books Porto Hotel is truly a top choice for anyone visiting the city. Highly recommend!

The staff were over the top kind and helpful. I would stay here every time I come to Porto. The wait staff at breakfast were exceptional.

Only small thing were the lack of hooks! Needed somewhere to hang towels and items!

It is centrally located, beautiful new hotel, great to have a lovely pool, wet & dry saunas & a gym in a historic district of town & breakfast is quite a spread. Staff are friendly & quite attentive. The rooms are high tech, bed & pillows are very comfortable & luxurious.

The shower stall in the room is like a fishbowl. No privacy. Like a high-end square glass. If you’re with a friend or someone sharing a room, that person can see you in your birthday suit as you shower. Also lacking of towel racks or hooks to hang clothes, towels. No hair conditioner & the “solid” lotion & shampoo are not very user-friendly.

The staff were so wonderful, very helpful and attentive, providing great recommendations for local restaurants, a tour into the Douro Valley (highly recommend!) and airport transportation for an early flight I had. The rooms were modern and very comfortable, I couldn’t hear any noise from outside which was great. I also loved how eco friendly this hotel is. The location is central, a short walk to many of the main attractions, a little longer (no more than 20 mins depending which path you took) down to Ribeira and then slightly longer again to head over to Gaia, but everywhere is so beautiful en route. Breakfast was also very yummy with the inclusion of an a la carte meal in addition to the buffet.

The location is within 15minutes walk of Luis1bridge so pretty central. The breakfast was wonderful, so much choice, buffet and cooked options. There is a rooftop bar on 6th floor overlooking Porto, a delight at night and it’s possible to get some food there also. There is a swimming pool in the basement which is very pleasant and a spa and gym.

I was really happy and have no complaints! Word of warning it is at the top of a steep hill from the centre! I note others mentioned that the shower is in the room and a see through glass box although the toilet is in a separate space! That might be a bit of a turn off for some people.

Super organised valet parking set the tone for awesome service. Both bars but especially the rooftop patio were amazing and did great cocktails. Huge breakfast spread with amazing staff. Location couldn’t be beat — 7 minutes to the centre of town and all the highlights.

2 big let downs- we were not a honeymoon couple so the exhibitionist shower was super awkward. The only benefit was meeting other people in the lobby who were also escaping downstairs while their travel companion was showering. The second disappointment was the ridiculously NOT 5-star bathroom amenities, all of which were solid. We ended up trying to find a late night pharmacy to buy shampoo and shower gel! Utterly unacceptable.

The hotel was new and fresh and we were pleasantly welcomed by our hosts. We knew we chose a good hotel upon walking in and at no pint in time were we disappointed. The hotel had a great Range of facilities including a gym, pool, sauna and spa and was well maintained. Whilst the breakfast options were limited compared to some hotels we have stayed in this trip, the range was still good with the food quality being exceptional. Lastly, the staff were fantastic and at all times went out to make our stay a most enjoyable one. This included a call from the front desk the day before to make sure our departure was all organised and whether we needed any assistance with getting to the airport or our train station.
