The property was in the perfect location, 20 minutes from Lisbon and Cascais. There is a free parking lot in front of the place, which was super convenient knowing the European streets, a big plus. The host was lovely and gave us a lot of great recommendations. The Sintra Apartment was much more spacious than expected and had a lovely balcony.

Everything about Storytellers Villas is magical and was the best experience I've ever had in hosted lodging. The host Christina, and attendant Bhwani, went out of their way to ensure a perfect stay. The atmosphere is peaceful, the grounds perfectly maintained with water features, ivy, ferns, resort style lighting, and total privacy. My villa was everything I want in a stay, spotless, comfortable, and immersed in culture of the area. I will go back to Storytellers and Sintra many times in the future. It is worth the travel from the states. I will always be grateful for such a memorable experience.

Service was excellent, Bonnie did a great job for housekeeping. Water, fresh fruit, soap, coffee and other amenities supplied when we don't always see these with large chains like Marriott, Hilton etc.. The lodging is in an area within short walking distance of cafés and restaurants, very typically Portuguese but many speak English.

Not really a dislike because we were only there 2 days and didn't really unpack, but there should be more hangers for clothes.

Very comfortable two-bedroom unit. We appreciated the kitchen facilities since we had to leave early for the airport and we were able to still have an adequate breakfast before leaving. It was also nice that there were a few restaurants right by the property so we could get a late lunch before we set out exploring.

The overhang above the entrance door was very low. Cristina, the woman who greeted us on our arrival pointed it out and warned me about it which I appreciated. I never hit my head, but I was always very conscious of it when we left or returned to the unit. This wasn’t a big problem.

I couldn't have asked for better. My stay was very comfortable and I'm picky about hotels. The carpets looked clean. The bed was very comfortable along with the pillows. It was perfectly clean. The towels were thick, soft, and spotless. The room was homey. I loved the appliances they are retro chic. The dishes are perfectly clean I loved the nice touch with fruits and a big water bottle left in the refrigerator. The temperature in the room was perfect. Congratulations for a perfectly kept facility.

A light interrupter close to the bed would have been perfect.

The staff was excellent and the apartment was beautiful. The location was great with easy parking across the street. It is a hike into the central part of town which would not have been an issue with older kids except for the heat wave in early August. It was about a 25 min walk down hill to the main part of town and to the train station. Once we parked our rental it was best to leave it parked there and walk or take Ubers to other parts of the town. We enjoyed the small pond and garden in the courtyard area in the evenings. I enjoyed the quieter area and it was fun to walk around the surrounding neighborhood.

The only negative was the lack of what we consider air conditioning. The area was experiencing a heat wave and the only air conditioning was one cooling fan that used ice packs for the small apartment. It was not so bad for my kids and I but my husband had difficulty sleeping with the heat and woke up during the night to switch out the ice packs. It looked like some of the other rooms had air conditioning units but not our apartment for 2 adults and 2 children.

Cute, authentic, clean, designed to feel very private, free parking, easy to find, and easy access. Rooms are spacious for Europe; perfect for a family of 5. Beds are comfortable. Facilities appeared recently renovated and are very charming. Kitchen facilities nicely stocked with essentials to cook and eat in. Nuno is an awesome gracious host. He greeted us on arrival, gave clear directions, and recommended food places. Don’t miss the bakery next door, as it sells Sintra’s specialty pastry, sourced from the original bakery from center Sintra.

We liked that it had a little kitchenette to self-cater our breakfast. The room has been recently renovated and the decor is neat. It's clean, comfortable, and reasonably close to the sights of Sintra. There are enough cafe's and restaurants very near the villa that it's not necessary to go into Sintra Centro for eating. The host of the property is a genuinely nice and helpful person. He gave us a few great tips, a fruit bowl, and helped us with the parking.

The parking is public (but free) so you have to be lucky to get a spot. Sintra is an extremely busy tourist spot with very narrow roads to share between buses, pedestrians, bikes, tuk-tuks. The villa is close enough to use tuk-tuks and public transport. Walking to the sights from the villa is possible but not always comfortable.

The apartment was very big and comfortable, the breakfast was great and it was easy to park our car. The staff was very kind and available. As recommended, we left the car there and then used Uber to move around and visit Sintra, Pena Palace and Quinta de Regaleira. Great position and lovely surroundings.

The room was a bit humid, but this is understandable considering the position of the Villa and the nature surrounding it.

Marco, the owner of the property treats everyone as they are his personal friends/family, Also the property and the room itself have a lot of charm. For dinner, there are literally 6 restaurants surrounding the property,. My regret is that we were not there long enough to try but one. (We had late lunches with our tour guide on other days).

1) Room was cold the first night, or at least part of it. 2) the towel warmer was too high 3) the national pastry of Portugal that Marc supplies with breakfast was too sweet for my liking. We liked the ricer pudding he supplied us with.
