The check-in policy was smooth and easy. It's great how the rooms have a door code, so you dont have to carry keys around. Amanda was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. She kindly shared a bunch of lovely beaches for us to go to and restaurants to check out. The guesthouse is in a good location, but it is better to have a car to optimize on exploring Vieques. We got a room with a kitchen, and it was equipped with silverware, pans, and plates/cups. The rooftop of the guest house is fun to hang out on. We ordered breakfast one morning, and it was delicious. The guest house is clean, and beds are comfortable. All the staff members at the guest house were kind and friendly. It is clear how much Amanda and Tod(only briefly met him), and all the staff members work so hard to make Vieques Guest House a wonderful place to stay!!!

There is nothing we didn't like.

This place was in a great location on the island. It was just right down the road from several restaurants. There was a pretty secluded beach just a 4 minute walk away. They had a little cafe on the first floor that had drinks and served breakfast in the morning (not free). The staff was very friendly and helpful and answered all of our questions. They have beach towels, chairs and umbrellas available to rent. The room was nice and clean and the bathroom was clean as well. There is a little parking lot across the road for guest. There is also an outdoor shower and a balcony on the top floor that gives a good view of the little town.

The Vieques Guesthouse is everything you need and more for an amazing adventurous or relaxing vacation. The location is AMAZING and within walking distance of Esperanza and all the restaurants and beach. I cannot say how great our stay was. It is family owned and run by Amanda and Todd who will accommodate you in any way they can. They gave us great information about the island and had insightful conversations with them throughout our stay. You are not a “guest” at this guesthouse, you are family. The rooms were very clean and the beds and pillows were SO comfortable. A huge plus! They have a terrace upstairs that is so spacious and beautiful to relax at the end of your long Beach day. At night it is very quiet and peaceful. Be sure to rent a car/golf cart and go to all the beautiful beaches on the island. The only downside was not being able to leave our luggage at the guesthouse since we arrived on the island at 9AM. Amanda told us we could not leave our luggage if we arrived early, because they hold luggage for people that check-out and still have the entire day. It was more than fair and we understood their policy. A helpful tip - if you arrive early like we did and have a golf cart that does not lock valuables, go to Sunbay beach. You can pull your golf cart up and watch your belongings! Don’t look any further for a place to stay in Vieques. This FAMILYhouse is terrific. We will be back!! Thank you both!!! - Theresa and Val

The location of this property is very nice, just on the outskirts of Esperanza so there is no noise from the bars and restaurants but it is within walking distance of all. The cooked to order breakfast available to purchase for $12 for eating in the lobby was a choice of 3 items, one of which is homemade bread. Coffee/tea/water was available for free. Due note that the chef takes off on Thursdays but there are muffins and yogurts available to purchase. The adults only 2nd floor covered balcony has nice easy chairs and a hammock. The rooftop patio is uncovered but has an amazing view of the sunset! The hosts are extremely personable and gave each guest a map of the island with places of interest marked. There is free parking in front of the lobby and overflow across the street.

There is no elevator to the upper floors but there are rooms available on the ground floor if one has mobility issues. There are NO sidewalks in Esperanza until you come to the Malcon where the restaurants are but that is not the fault of the guesthouse.

Location was good, within walking distance to biobays and lots of restaurants. Lots of free parking. Three minute walk to private beach. Owner was friendly and helpful. Quiet location a few blocks up from main street. Little store close by. Great upstairs patios. Comfortable bed.

I think new owners are in the midst of updating and our room, mostly bathroom, needs an upgrade. Stained grout and tile, beat up cabinet and sink. I don't think it was dirty instead it was just too old and worn to look clean. No elevator for those who have trouble with steps. Neither would stop us from referring or staying again, just a little disappointing.

We stayed a night to be close to the pick up location for the bioluminescent tour. It's good for a one night stay. I liked how they utilize whatsapp so you can stay in touch with them. I liked the outdoor shower to wipe off sand. Hosts were pretty friendly, had towels that we could borrow for the beach and they had a nice map to show where people come from across the world. I liked the welcome orientation the host walked us through.

They have a rule of no noise after 11PM but there were people at the rooftop making a lot of noise which easily travels to your room. This place is good for one night.

The hosts, Todd and Amanda, were both wonderful and went out of their way to help us before and during our visit, with advice about transportation, beaches, restaurants etc. We arrived late, but had all the info we needed to access our room. The room was a good size and very pleasant, with a nice view across to the coast. Location was on the main road through town , just a short walk to all the different restaurants. We enjoyed the horses who wandered along the road, a nice change to dogs and cats. We had access to the roof and to a communal balcony, both of which were furnished.

Wow! First thing is that Todd and Amanda are amazing hosts. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable with recommendations for the island and how to best enjoy our time while there. We were interested in spending as much time as possible snorkeling and they recommended several fantastic spots. Talked to us for a long time, several times, and never seemed to be in a rush or annoyed. On top of that, they were able to accommodate us when we needed an extra night with no issue. The inn itself was very clean and updated. Very cool setup with multiple decks, and was very close to the restaurant area of Elizabeth and many of the best beaches. We loved having our coffee on the rooftop in the morning.

Location is fantastic with a short walk to beautiful empty beach with swings. Lady owner was personable, kind and helpful with recommending what to do and see. Recommendation for Jax Water Sports for Bio Bay tour was excellent.

Felt like we were infringing on the owner when we arrived with luggage at 10:45a, which was earlier than the check-in time, like he was scolding us. We had nowhere else to go with all our bags and I'm unsure what else we were supposed to do. The non-English as a first language people in front of us did the same thing as they were on the same ferry with us. He didn't scold them (although they had luggage too) and ironically he referred to them as 'existing customers that needed to be helped first'. It was just the unnecessary attitude that was so offensive. We weren't expecting to check in, at all. Perhaps an outdoor area where bags can be stored and not making guests feel so bad when they don't have another option would go a long way to resolve that.

The property was recently renovated with updated fixtures, furniture, and climate control. Setting was serene. Rooftop view of the sea and sunset was amazing. Across the road there is a small trail through the woods that leads to a private beach with a rope swing. 5 minute walk to bars, gift shops, and tour locations. The host was warm, welcoming, and accommodating of our late check in. Breakfast was simple and well-executed. 10/10 tremendous value!
