Characterful old buildings very similar to heritage Paradors. We were upgraded to a junior suite. So had a lounge dining and small kitchenette area. Central location. Bedding and towels modern and good quality. Furniture old Spanish so dark brown but fitted the hotel style. Food in restaurant gourmet standard and service excellent. We were in a sperate building to reception. Very close across a courtyard open to the public.

No where to sit outside to enjoy the sun. No pool to swim in, and no outside dining except a terrace filled with smokers.

Great location and fantastic room. I don't normally stay in hotels of this quality, so it was a big surprise to have a suite. The associated spa is well worth a visit, I was in the middle of a running holiday and took the opportunity to have a deep tissue massage and some time in the water treatment area. I felt relaxed and refreshed after my stay.

There weren't many options for vegans at the breakfast unfortunately, so I filled up on toast and found a vegan cafe in Santa Cruz. Some non dairy milks and yoghurt would be a great addition, not just for vegans but for guests with allergies too.

We love this hotel, though we usually only use it for short stays, we stop off in Tenerife on our journey from Vienna to El Hierro. Its location in the World Heritage city centre of San Cristobal is formidable. The pedestrian zone is very lively (and on 14 December, it was lavishly illuminated for Christmas). The staff are friendly and competent, small problems (broken safe) are resolved as quickly as possible. We always discover small innovations (or delicacies that we had previously not have seen) at the excellent breakfast buffet. An excellent playlist from the singer-songwriter genre and a very good, brilliantly adjusted sound system help to get the day off to a great start and make breakfast twice as good. The music and its sound are the best of all the places we know! What a relief for our long-suffering ears, which are bombarded with so-called "Christmas music" from everywhere these days. We would choose this fine hotel again and again simply because of the musical atmosphere in the restaurant. But, as we said, it can do much, much more!

Larger room with the small table and cooking area. Extremely comfortable bed and although you are steps to the sites and busy town centre streets, the hotel is extremely quiet I came in for the Santa Cruz carnival and the buses ran all night between the towns . Hotel is a 15 min walk to the bus station

Those who like a bit of atmosphere in the evenings will be disappointed as nothing happens. However a top restaurant is on-site. Also it’s two separate buildings so one does feel like a bedroom of the hotel.

I recently had the opportunity to book a hotel stay under quite unusual circumstances, and I must say that the experience exceeded my expectations in every way. My family and I were forced to evacuate our home in Las Barreras due to a nearby wildfire, and we found refuge at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff displayed remarkable empathy and professionalism. They understood the stress we were under and went above and beyond to make our stay as smooth as possible. The reception team, in particular, deserves special mention for their unwavering support. Our room was clean, comfortable, and provided a much-needed sense of security during a difficult time. The hotel's amenities were well-maintained, and we were able to relax and unwind despite the challenging circumstances. In times of crisis, the true character of a hotel shines through, and this establishment proved to be a true sanctuary. I am immensely grateful to the staff for their kindness and assistance during our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone in need of a safe and supportive haven, and I look forward to returning under happier circumstances.

Beautiful hotel and staff are amazingly friendly fantastic welcome at reception and the bar also. We had some sandwiches on arrival they were delicious. Gorgeous courtyard out the back. We had our little dog with us and we were nervous as some hotels state there pet friendly but often are not this hotel is super pet friendly we will definitely be back and so will Harvey also have to mention the gorgeous spa and service there excellent all round

It’s only a small our breakfast was cold but we understand it’s hard to keep buffet food hot

We stayed with our 1 year old son, the suite was fantastic, there was plenty of space and they provided a really good cot. There was a lift so we could easily bring the pram to the room. Breakfast was a good spread. Staff were friendly. The location is brilliant. We found free parking nearby easily. We really loved our time here and hope to come back one day.

The spa was closed due to covid. It wasn’t a big deal for us but this wasn’t made clear at time of booking (it does not say on the hotel website either). It was great to have a little kitchen in our room however there were no basic equipment- a sign said 5€ a day for kitchen equipment. This seems a little stingy after we paid for a suite. Just the basic cutlery and dishes would have been good.

The bedroom was very spacious with a beautiful bath . The reception staff were very helpful .The hotel located near main shopping,eating and many historical buildings.Excellent value for money which included breakfast I wide variety of breakfast and various place to sit outside or inside . I couldn’t fault the hotel or the staff .Just a beautiful place to stay .

The only fault would be the cooked breakfast which looked a bit dried up .I do understand not many people have a cooked breakfast hence looking a bit dry .

The location on the edge of the old town and the character of the building. The food in the a la carte restaurant was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very few English language tv channels. No hotel parking although there was a huge public parking area nearby for a reasonable 7.50 euros per day.

I liked almost everything about the hotel. My highlights: They let me check in and park my car at 11am - very flexible. Excellent location on the edge of the historic town centre, and opposite an open square with trees. My room was in an annex and overlooking a central courtyard, which meant that external noise never reached me. I was very happy with the trade-off between quietness and lack of view. Underground private car park was well worth the €9 per day. High quality of decor and presentation of public spaces goes without saying. Very, very pleasant stay. Pizzeria Manamme and Palmelita La Laguna were great. The quantity and variety of eating places in La Laguna is astonishing.

I had a couple of niggles about the sound of the fridge and a broken shower hose connection. I was able to repair the shower hose connection myself, and the fridge sound was not a major concern. I didn't feel any need to ask the hotel to rectify these things, they were very minor.
