I was staying for 4 days over Christmas and it was absolutely perfect for me. I met the owner on arrival and she was lovely and did a quick explanation, then I was on my own for 4 peaceful days. I was upgraded from a single to a double which was a lovely gesture as it was over Christmas and house services wasn't going to be operating, which was fine by me. The room was roomy and cosy - bed and pillows were great. There was a huge classy bathroom with a large oval bath. Parking was on site. The complex was close to town, where I could have easily walked to restaurants and shopping had it not been raining. I loved the village feel and it was not far from Bath and Avebury and Lacock which I visited from there. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely quiet location, nice sized room, great bathroom (love the corner bath and TV in bathroom!) Interesting building and lovely, helpful people. Information in book in room was good and interesting to learn about Melksham and the building. Loved the fact was family run business that cares about the environment and tries to be sustainable. Thank you for our stay :)

Bed was very soft - it was comfortable but a little difficult getting in and out. Otherwise couldn't really fault it. Didn't get chance to sample the food due to length of stay.

Had used the information provided by Booking.com when making my reservation only to find that the expected breakfast was not provided unless specifically requested. At short notice and in spite of being under no obligation to do so Andy cheerfully arranged for a complimentary continental breakfast to be sent to my room. The tray had a wide selection of foods and was more than adequate. The room itself was clean, warm and comfortable, even though it was next to the road I didn’t notice any traffic noise. Parking was free but I was glad I had left my trailer elsewhere in Melksham ! There were several restaurants within easy walking distance, I went next door to the West End Inn where I sampled their delicious Malaysian cuisine. All in all a very pleasant stay, it will always be my first choice when staying in this area

The location worked very well because I belong to a bat group and we were doing netting and trapping at Bath Golf Club which was only about 20 minutes away. The room was ideal for what I needed and very clean. I spoke to a lady before I stayed to make sure that I could come and go as the bat event was going to finish in the early hours of the morning. She was very friendly and reassured me that it wouldn't be a problem which I was very impressed with especially as it was 10.00 at night.

It was a lovely breakfast. However it needs to be a little clearer on Booking.com that you can have more than just a continental one. The option of having a full English would have been nice ie eggs, sausages, bacon, tomatoes but not the plum ones and mushrooms would have been nice.

Convenient location - both for the wider / tourist area, and a very short, safe, walk into town centre. Good off road parking. Clean and comfortable accommodation, with good shower and a useful small kitchenette. Breakfast was in a separate building - comfortable and an extensive choice for the "cold" breakfast items - cheeses, cold meal, grains / nuts, cereals and juices.

Disappointed with lack of options for hot breakfast - just (though, tasty) Bacon and egg. No "full English" - no sausage, black pudding, mushrooms, tomato etc

The host was super friendly and welcoming! Our room was very clean. We had a good hot shower with decent pressure. Tea was available for free in the room.

The bed (mattress) should be replaced: seemed to be worn out. It would be nice to have baked beans in the breakfast, or even have the option for a full English breakfast. But the local pub is always an option, of course.

Beautiful place, very comfortable clean and tidy Spotless Loved the black folder with all the places to visit, contact numbers, emergency numbers etc nice touch. Gorgeous bathroom and boiling water. Will visit again Breakfast was lovely too. Great location

Bed was freezing 🥶 hahaha (chilly at night as heater wouldn't come on. Warmed up in bed eventually with an extra blanket and woolly nightie 😅😅😅

Excellent hosts, very friendly and very helpful indeed. Good parking. Lovely charming property, clean and fresh, with a welcoming and quality feel, spacious room and bathroom with super roll-top bath. Very quiet and conveniently close to Town Centre. A nice relaxing stay, comfy bed, big wardrobe, old world cottage charm. Superb breakfast, very tasty, served in lovely breakfast room, and again our host was bright and cheerful, attentive, and very helpful with knowledge of the local sightseeing.

Clean and cosy, nicely decorated, electric towel rail made the bathroom lovely and warm. Very useful to have the kitchenette attached and parking right outside.

The rooms facing onto a parking area that is open to the street was not ideal, as I had imagined a garden or private courtyard. However, this was not a problem for our short stay as we were out all day anyway.

The breakfast was good and generous in portions. Just what was needed. A quiet convenient venue and service was prompt and friendly.

Personally I think it was slightly overpriced for the size of the room. The bathroom was large, but this did not make up for the lack of room for comfortable chairs as an alternative for the bed to relax on. My husband has a problem with his sight and so he found it a bit dark for reading. However all in all I would recommend it as a comfortable location.
