Hotel situated on a top of a hill above the bay near the castle. Had a room with a sea view that offered great views off the bay. The Hotel and room was clean and tidy with a double bed that was comfortable to sleep on. The staff from reception, bar, and the breakfast area were all exceptional. Breakfast was a typical English and Continental type, both where more than enough. Drinks, coffee, tea fruit, etc. unlimited.

The parking at the Hotel is limited (10) at the front of the building most are reserved. You can park on the street at the rear of the hotel but at a cost of £5 each night. My room on the first floor with the sea view was hot due to been above the boiler room. Even with the window open it still was a hot room. The Bathroom was clean & Tidy however when using the shower the water ran down the shower door and then onto the floor. The use of the door mat and towels had to be used to soak the water up.

The hotel itself was really good and over looked an amazing view of the sea. The staff were amazing and very friendly. When we went down for breakfast it was continental and they explained everything that they had to offer. The lady that showed us where to sit was lovely and very welcoming.

The lack of information about the parking permit. I feel like when booking, there should be an option to pay for a permit so you can park on the street. Other than that, the experience was amazing and we would stay again.

The hotel was perfect for my stay. I was able to park at the hotel due to the time of year ie, being out of season. The views across the Scarborough north bay are amazing. My room was clean, warm and comfortable.

Like most older hotels now in the UK sadly the corridors, staircases etc were looking tired and would benefit from redecorating and new carpets, but my stay was very good value. I didn't stay for breakfast but the dinning room had a great view over the bay. The UK hospitality sector seems to be really struggling (aside from the main big chains having mostly new hotels).

Beautiful view from our room, young lass on the bar excellent as was the breakfast staff and night manager. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice very tasty. The outside of the building was lovely and public areas and restaurant immaculate, shame the room was not. Housekeeping staff have stopped this review being a perfect 10.

Bath was filthy plug hole wasn't draining i then pulled a very stinky massive amount of hair from the plug hole, dusty, mattress protector very stained having said that though £60 including breakfast and a view like we had these issues didn't bother us too much.

Love the location, this is what keeps us coming back. The rooms we had on this stay compared to our last were far better. I have found that if you are on the first floor the rooms are far nicer. The room was clean unlike previous stay and this time our window actually opened which was a relief with the heat. The cleaning staff seem very pleasant unlike the reception staff. The price we paid was very reasonable.

The lady on the reception with the orange hair was incompetent. We was stood waiting in line sweating and agitated as she stared at the computer screen with a confused look for about 40 minutes muttering away and checking guests in at the pace of a snail.

Stayed at the hotel for two nights in a twin room with sea view was very impressed for the value for money. The hotel is a bit dated in parts but our room was very nice and clean, with a good view over Scarborough beach. The bathroom had a very good shower and there was always plenty of hot water. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

The only drawback to the hotel was there was no parking and if you park on the street with a disc, you can only park for 2 hours at a time during the day. There is a NCP muti-story car park that we used about 15min walk from the hotel.

The lounge and dining areas looked very festive and were comfortable. It has lovely sea views . The staff were all helpful

Some streets were closed off .So it was not easy to get parked on arrival. There is only a small carpark and they let me park there the next day I had received a parking ticket. They do give out a clock and you pay for 2 day parking but at first there was no spaces near hotel and I have a health problem with hips and lower back.

The staff were lovely and helpful, the location excellent and coffee making facilities in the room appreciated. Eli was very obliging during our restaurant meal.

The room was grubby in a couple of areas. The floor needed a good vacuum around the edges and under the bed, and the runner at the end of the bed had very obvious stains and remnants of spills on it.

Great location near the castle, only about ten minute walk to the town and harbour. Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming, bit dated but very clean. We had the breakfast included which was continental and cooked, the whole stay was very good value for money.

No parking on site at the hotel, there is plenty of street parking but you may have a little walk, get your permit from the hotel reception for a small charge and display on the vehicle dashboard.

We came for the Scarborough v Kidderminster game, I needed a hotel to drop our stuff off before kick off (3pm), Not only did the Hotel allow us to drop our stuff off but the room was ready at 1pm. (the game was cancelled) but this was a bonus. Room was clean, loads of towels. the room was very spacious (room 108).

Ok not the hotels fault but the church next door, the bells going off from 8am on Sunday morning. So you wont get a lazy lie in.
