This was my second stay at Villa Zacharo, my first time was 5 years ago. The property, as always, is super clean with the best wi-fi connection in the Dodecanese group of islands in Greece. Add to that the fact that it is next to the biggest supermarket in Patmos and only 3 minutes away from the port and now you know why I came back. Do not let me forget the superb breakfast with great coffee and delicious black olives, plus, the great hosts, Jacob and his wife and now you can guess why I will be back next year, to stay longer!!

Everything was perfect, I am coming back!

Host was really welcoming and gave us lots of information about the island. Room was great for a short stay, good balcony and breakfast was lovely - plus water and hot drinks available at any time. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby and a bus stop very close as was the ferry port.

Nothing, it was all good.

We spent 5 days at Villa Zacharo and we had 2 rooms: a twin and a double. Rooms are very simple but functional. Location is convenient, next to a bus stop, a supermarket and walking distance to everything needed in Skala. Hot and cold water available in the reception area, as well as nescafé, tea bags. Breakfast was good. Very kind family running the hotel. We could benefit of a late check-out for one of the 2 rooms on departure day. Excellent value for money.

The twin room facing the road was quite noisy (had to keep the window closed at night). The double room facing the other side was not only much quieter, but also nicer.

The staff are welcoming, friendly and will gladly provide you with anything you may need. They even called me to rearrange my stay because the ferry couldn't leave due to the weather conditions. Breakfast was enough and plenty to start the day, while the rooms were clean and cozy. Finally, the distance from the port is ideal.

There is a central heating line and an air-condition which is cool, although the former is not always open and is depended on the staff.

Villa Zacharo Hotel Patmos is a very nice hotel conveniently located near everything. I want to especially thank Jacob for his kindness. Although I was supposed to arrive in Patmos, my ferry unexpectedly took me to Lipsi, and I didn’t make it to Patmos until the next day. Despite this, Mario allowed me to use my reservation without any issues. Thank you so much! I will definitely book this hotel again next time, and I highly recommend it to others.

Everything was ok. Location is perfect. Supermarket is less than 50 m away. Bus station 100 m. Ferry port also. Very easy is visit to the Cave and to the Monastery on foot, even there is the bus. Room was cleaned every day and towels and sheet are changed every two days. Breakfast was not exceptional but still quite ok. Of course, this is not four or five star hotel, but this is really excellent 2 star hotel.

Great value place to stay that's close to the port. The rooms are clean and quiet. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast in the morning and coffee/tea/water available all day in the lobby. There's also a supermarket next door. Easy walk to the main business area. We also walked to Chora from here, but the bus stop is very close. Excellent location on Patmos. We will stay again if we return.

The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the port, the owner is super friendly and accommodating. They accepted to take me in when the ferry arrives at 2 in the morning and even arrange everything for my payment and invoice on the spot as I needed to leave super early the other day before I come back to Patmos to get the midnight ferry. They even agreed to keep my luggage in the property until I waited for the ferry and said if they had known I would be coming back they would have gladly kept my room for me so I can rest. Very sweet.

Honestly, nothing to complain about.

The lovely spacious room with a balcony had a fridge. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. This budget hotel was offered at a very good price (December). Excellent for me as a budget bicycle tourer. The simple, buffet breakfast (included in the price) was very good and ample. The hosts made it feel like home. I enjoyed my stay here.

Jacob was absolutely fabulous, friendly and knowledgeable. Every good comment you read about him and his hospitality is absolutely spot on. It is a quaint little place that soon wins you over and you wish you had stay longer. We had come from mainland, where we stayed at a 5-star hotel, with amazing facilities and the rest, but Villa Zacharo's simple breakfast and humble stance will stay with me forever, as will Patmos. Thanks Jacob. There is an aura of peace about this place.

Having to leave. The noise from the incessant two-wheeled traffic in the day soon becomes part of the experience. That is Patmos, and that is how it should be, I guess. The place is alive in every sense, and the whole experience humbled me enough to appreciate the quiet greatness that waits for you just up the hill from Villa Zacharo.
