Fantastic location within 5 min walk from ferry and town Centre. The hotel is very quirky which makes it charming. 24 hour reception with delightful and helpful night staff to pour a night cap etc… The hotel is extremely clean. Our double bedroom also had a little sitting room/sofa bed and east facing balcony with table and chairs with a fabulous view of the boats coming into Skala, so in my opinion that alone is value for money! Nothing is too much trouble for Ariadne and her staff! They’re an amazing crew with a brilliant sense of humour. So thank you to EVERYONE whom I haven’t named and Krista, Theo and particularly Ariadne for the amazing hospitality, the great breakfast chats, the helpful information and above all the laughter! Yes, we will DEFINITELY return. We met people staying who’ve been returning for over 25 years. I get it ….it’s because it offers genuine clean, comfortable rooms within a brilliant location., what more can you ask for when out all day in Patmos and beyond …….

Nothing

First we thought we have to climb a lot but its super close to the port!! So very easy to reach and very central with some privacy! They have a lovely breakfast and a good thing about is you can decide when you are there, so its not necessary to book it up front, and yes its ten euros so if you feel the hype or working on your hangover just tell the front lady and it will be fine. The view is amazing!! Its so worth it! And even its in the central you still feel a bit extra privacy. And both ladies at the reception are very helpfull, very kind so thank you a lot! Also i have to add this place has a good, peaceful holiday energy.

Well theres nothing to compare about. Just becareful with bath curtains they are a bit uncomfortable but at the conclusion every is like that.

I LOVE PATMOS AND I LOVED THE STAFF! super sweet and helpful- these are people with heart and really interested in their guests. Great location and you will not be disappointed by the beauty that is Patmos.. it is a special island with its own unique beauty and good hearted locals. It is my second time there with my husband and dog and I would definitely revisit . There's an amazing vegetarian restaurant in the town called Pernara I loved it - has great food and garden. GO TO PATMOS!

Exceptionaly friendly and helpful staff, great location just outside the town centre. Best view of any hotel in Scala, especially our room and the breakfast terrace and bar. Good and varied breakfast, especially the pies. Very clean frequent towel change.

Very little really. The shower curtain was slightly short. I was worried about the lack of a lift but our room was on the first floor and the layout wasn’t suitable, so this was no real handicap. More of a problem if you were on a higher floor. A request to Irieni ensured that she was aware of my problem and made adequate provision.

The location is 4 minutes walk from the port and bus stop, which is very convenient. a slight uphill in case you moving with big bags. The view from the room is awesome, very nice view to the open sea. staff were very nice and helpful with tips about restaurants and beaches. breakfast was fine, I stayed for 4 nights, was not bored. Rooms are clean The room and furniture are very basic but it serve the purpose.

Everything was excellent. Very wonderful host, very nice, quite and super super clean all the spaces in the hotel. The room was very very nice. with sea view and a very quite place where you can relax. the beach is in front of the hotel, nice balcony in the room, you can park in front of the hotel. very near from the port and in the center of Skala where you can find everything you need. I can not wait to be there again. thank you for everything.

wonderful place

The location of the property is very good as it is on the edge of Skala, so is very quiet, but within walking distance of all of the restaurants, bars and shops. The hotel's common areas are very good and well maintained, better than expected. The receptionist Eirini (Stella) is exceptional and very helpful. Her command of English is very good and was interested in talking about Greek culture and had immense knowledge of the area. She is a wonderful asset to the Hotel. I asked for a clothes drying rack which she promptly supplied. Nothing was too much trouble.

I felt the room I was allocated was not as good as other rooms in the Hotel. It had obviously at one time been a store as it was built into the hillside with a stone floor. There was only one plug available that could be used so charging items was difficult. It was fine for the time I was there, but would not have wanted to stay in it longer. The beds are very low and no mattress covers were in place.

The check in staff were wonderful….especially the kind woman you gave us so much good advice about what to see and do and arrange rental car for us, and took care of our luggage etc….. she really went out of her way and we appreciated it. The location was perfect for us coming and leaving with the ferry…..walking distance. The hotel was very accommodating when we needed to make a last minute change to our reservation…..thank you!

Bathroom and shower facilities were a little outdated.

The staff Is super helpful and friendly. They gave me good advices and helped me also to book another hotel since i made a mistake in my reservation. The location Is really few steps from port and Village in a quiet area. Breakfast, sweet and salty, can be enjoyed on the terrace Rooms are basic but super clean. Recommended

The hotel Is in an old building and rooms are not really soundproofed and you can ear every kind of noise from corridors and other rooms. Not really a problem for me but there Is no lift and can be tricky if you travel with lot of luggages

I had an amazing time at the Blue Bay Hotel in Patmos! The view from the hilltop location was breathtaking, providing panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscape and sea. The breakfast spread was delicious, with a variety of freshly prepared dishes to satisfy every palate. The hotel's convenient location, just a 5-minute walk from the town center and a 3-minute walk from the ferry terminal. The rooms were comfortable, and well-maintained by the attentive housekeeping staff. The highlight, however, was the exceptionally friendly and helpful hotel staff who went above and beyond to ensure a fantastic stay. Overall, my experience at the Blue Bay Hotel was great. I would definitely stay again if I came back to Patmos.

I am used to softer beds, and the beds at Blue Bay are more traditional e.g harder. But that is my own comfort level. Additionally, the way to the hotel is on the side of the road, nothing to do with the hotel, just be mindful there are no sidewalks.
