The family who owned the Homestay were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. They were very accommodating and helped us to swap rooms. The breakfasts were very tasty. The beds were very comfy and so nice to have a balcony. The location is perfect, just few minutes from the night market and food places, but still nice and quiet.

The rooms at the back of the house did have quite a musty smell. I would recommend asking for ones with balconies on the street side. The shower didn't always have hot water, but to be honest, it was so warm there that cold showers weren't such a big issue :)

it is really value for money. what i like was their level of service to go beyond on providing you with all the necessary information you need. They even packed some extra bread for us when we leave. That was really awesome. Room wise, it is spacious and we only walked up one flight of stairs. AC works well. Shower could improve, and they provide packet of shampoo but no shower gel. We ended up getting it out from the store for my daughter. So if you are coming here, maybe filled up from the hotel before or get a small travel size bottle. Especially for ladies who need conditioner for their hair. getting in and out from the homestay is really easy. A good 5 minute walk to japanese covered bridge. Breakfast was helpful too. The coffee is great.

Give the shower gel and shampoo, and perhaps clean the exhaust fan ducting as it looks dusty. some areas in the room is a little dusty or worn, might need some touching up. OVerall, a great value for money to stay here. breakfast really helps.

Breakfast and the service with it have to be experienced to be believed! Some of the best vietnamese food we ate on our trip, served by the ever smiling and delightful father of the family. Our room and bed were large and comfortable. The Village Homestay is in a great location, just a couple of minutes walk to the old town, but away from the craziness! It rained almost the whole 4 days we were in Hoi An, but staying here really brightened up our stay.

Nothing. For the price we couldn't have asked for more. I'm sure if they could have brought the sun out for us they would!

very friendly family, excellent location with night market in the evening ( it closes around 10pm so doesn't make sleeping difficult ) and old town Hoi An within minutes' walk. Lovely plants on top floor terrace. Very good breakfast. I also liked the neighbourhood which was full of interesting lively street life, very engaging. Good wifi, modern bathroom, good mattress.

I feel I 'lucked out' in finding on The Village Homestay online

Very good location and also good value for money. They also let me check-in at 7am on the first day as I booked a diving trip to Cham Island and was supposed to picked up at 7.30am.

Not a negative point but I was almost the only guets for two days so there was not really any breakfast or I missed it. I didn't mind this as there are many nice cafes around to explore.

The nicest place with the most kind host family we’ve encountered on our travels in Vietnam. We booked a room for three nights with breakfast and were offered traditional homemade Vietnamese food options accompanied by local fruit that was so delicious- don’t miss out! Also everyone made you feel welcomed and were always happy to help with anything you might need. We received great local tips and their hospitality was just top notch. Everything in our room was great- hot shower with very clean bathroom & the bed was super comfortable. Overall we just loved our stay here in Hoi An & wouldn’t hesitate to return.

The one minus which is typical in many Vietnamese hotels/guesthouses is a strong mildew smell in the room from all the humidity. We got used to it just fine but others may not.

My husband (Loic) and I were traveling Vietnam for our honeymoon and we’re so happy we chose the Village Homestay while staying in Hoi An. The owner and his family were so nice and welcoming, and the breakfast was truly amazing! Looking back at our trip, we have such great memories staying in this Homestay (both for the friendliness of the Homestay family, the location, and the food)! We would definitely stay here again if we’re ever in Vietnam again and we absolutely would recommend the Village Homestay to others.

The property is located right next to the night market, few minutes walk to the centre and it’s a family run business. Owners are extremely friendly and welcoming. I loved the warmth of this people and specially the grand mother who was around serving breakfast and all smiles. Try it yourself and it’s really worth for the money.

Everything was great.

The location was great, easy to reach everything on foot. We enjoyed staying with a family of 3 generations. Breakfast was generous each morning. It was constantly raining while we were in Hoi An, but the grandparents' smiling faces had me smiling every day.

Didn't use the wardrobe in the bedroom because it was very squeaky. A very minor issue, though.
