Location, breakfast, friendly staff at breakfast, cleanliness, comfortable quiet room

The receptionist when I first checked in was not very helpful when the card reader didn’t work, didn’t offer an alternate machine to try, I paid cash then rang my bank, they said it was a hotel issue. No other problem’s anywhere else with my card. But she just stared at me, I was tired after a long drive and a little reassurance or offer of help would have gone a long way

Great location. Rooms were simple but nice and beds comfortable. Parking was so close which was great as the hotel parking wasn’t available due to overrunning works. We would stay again.

Fire alarm was set off in the night and there was no Fire Marshall or procedure. If it had been a real fire it would not have been good. There was no one properly in charge and no explanation as to what happened. The hit and cold taps are the wrong way around so the hot is the cold and vice verser.

We have stayed in this hotel many times over the years as it is just right for a stop-over en route to Southern France or beyond. Its location within town is perfect - just outside the ring road but within just a few minutes walking distance from the main town centre. Parking is secured by a barrier and there is plenty of space (but note there is an additional charge). Breakfast is very tasty with freshly baked bread and croissants, fruit, yoghurts, meats, cheese, eggs, cake and pancakes as well as juice and hot drinks. The rooms are fairly functional but spacious enough, clean and comfortable.

The hotel is currently being renovated - this wasn't a problem and did not disturb us but works were taking place (summer 2023). The old family who ran the hotel for many years were no longer there which was sad.

Great location near town centre with private parking. Clean, comfortable and well-equipped rooms with good airco. Superb breakfast buffet. Freezing element service included. What else could you ask for?

It would be more transparent if the parking fee (10 euro) and breakfast price (18 euro) were mentioned up front (+30%).

All fresh and clean and newly refurbished. Nice decor. Very stylish.

We had asked for one room to be a twin and had also booked parking but neither of these had been allocated to our booking when we arrived despite receiving confirmation by email. It was all sorted fairly quickly though. We had a room with an interconnecting door to the adjacent room. This door was not soundproof!!

An amazing improvement since our last stay (which was, admittedly, a long time ago), unrecognizable but in a good way. The hotel's location and secure parking arrangements were always extremely convenient and the hotel, initially quite basic, has been brought up to standard - a spacious room, a comfortable bed, a modern bathroom, stylish décor. Couldn't fault it.

The hotel is placed very near to the center of the old town and it has a private parking. The hotel staff are very friendly and good at speaking english. The rooms are large and beds are good. The breakfast is good with a good selection of different things (not like an ordinary little french breakfast :) )

The floors at the restaurant are very slippery.

The hotel is in an excellent location with the Hospices de Beaune and all shops/restaurants within easy walking distance. The buffet breakfast was very good and when the renovations are complete it will be a very good spot.

We had a room that had been renovated and was very good. But part of the hotel is still under renovation so there was a lot of disruption.

Location, friendly and helpful staff, free parking 200 metres away, quality and range at breakfast, size and comfort of large double bed. Very good value for money.

As other reviewers have noted, the hotel IS dated. It could certainly benefit from a rethink in the layout of the foyers on each floor, the really awful wall colour scheme and the reception area. This would make such a difference to the attractiveness of the hotel. It won't help with the very thin walls, though. They do transmit noise from adjacent rooms... every kind of noise 😉

When we arrived, we were booked into the St. Jean. However, the room was not as expected (i.e., the air conditioner wasn't working as it should and the shower was not fully correct.) When we brought this to the attention of the staff, they confirmed the situation and provided us with another room that was great. The location to the old town of Beaune was fantastic!!! We enjoyed the trip and would not hesitate to suggest this hotel.

While we had some issues, they were addressed quickly and to our satisfactions. Indeed, we felt the hotel and staff were fantastic in all possible ways.
