The garden room, just off very lovely X rectory house, in lovely setting was a delightful surprise, better than expected. Contemporary renovation, spacious, cosy and beautifully done. Lovely big comfy bed, great bathroom, heated floor plus small lounge area. Had excellent vegan dinner just short stroll down road at The Duck. Very sweet and quiet village. Nespresso coffee machine & frother at breakfast😃👍

Two very deep pillows each both way too deep for us. Had to use folded towel instead which was hard and not comfy at all so had trouble sleeping in spite of lovely everything else. Maybe one deep one and one slim one so there’s a choice. Not set up for vegan breakfast but only booked night prior so not much notice. Did take our own milk so not a problem, too hot to travel with plant ‘butter’.

Lovely room and other areas, very clean and comfortable, wonderful hot shower. Lovely bed.

Barking dog in the building woke us, and lady in next room at 11.40pm. very loud and then struggled to get back to sleep. Shame only most expensive room available on booking.com, as only 3 rooms occupied? Lovely but rather towards expensive end. Lights flicker when dimmed, distracting when reading.

Great location, quiet but also central to many sights in Suffolk. Also a very good pub 5 mins walk away for evening meals. The room (Pink room) was spacious with seperate lounge/TV area and a large bathroom with bath and shower. Lots of fresh air. Tea/coffee always available in the breakfast room. Separate TV lounge available.

Cooked breakfast and toast was ok but there was no fruit, no cereal etc and no dairy free options eg soya milk

The host was incredibly friendly and hospitable. They went out of their way to accommodate us and ensure we had everything we needed. My room (yellow) was incredible. Spotless room with a huge bathroom. The cleanliness was outstanding, and the bed was very comfortable. The property is absolutely beautiful with a wonderful garden, tennis court, and views. There's a lovely pub a short walk away that does lovely food. Don't hesitate to book this for your next trip. You'll love it.

What a stunning house in a lovely little quaint area close to lots of little towns and villages which were so nice to go and visit. Staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was beautiful and clean and we thoroughly enjoyed our nights stay for our 25th anniversary. We definitely recommend The Old Rectory and a visit to Shawsgate Vineyard for tour and tasting 😊👏 thank you so much! We will see you again ❤️

Fabulous B&B with beautiful gardens in a quiet setting. Lovely large room (we had a suite) with great outlook and very comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom and good shower (over bath). Chris & Isla made us very welcome and provided a great breakfast. They suggested dinner at The Duck which is just a 5 min walk down the road (path all the way) which was lovely - great food and staff.

Not a major issue but it would have been nice to have a kettle in the room for early morning tea. Although one was available downstairs, not quite the same. Otherwise, perfect.

location, pretty and warm bedroom and bathroom, lovely linen and towels, good breakfast, air of efficiency in house and parking arrangements. super clean and tasteful fresh decor everywhere. well made elegant curtains. efficient leaflet with all essential info and QR codes for local restaurants. signs of a professional host.

my only small criticism is of the rather lumpy and bouncy pillows. I appreciate they have to be hypoallergenic but perhaps should have taken my own feather pillow. the owner was not present to ask although her staff were polite and courteous.

The breakfast was served in a relaxed way and made for a good start to the day. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The hosts and staff were welcoming and helpful

The shower was pleasant but had no grab rails and was rather slippery. We were, as an elderly couple, apprehensive about using it.

Lovely location, welcoming staff, spacious, beautifully decorated room, big fluffy towels, well stocked hot drink station in the dining room.

No option to book without breakfast. As we had to leave before 8am we couldn't have a cooked breakfast. However, the host did leave out some delicious sourdough bread/ butter / jams and fruit.

Beautiful building with excellent road access to the coast and inland Suffolk attractions such as Snape Maltings, Sutton Hoo, Framlingham Castle, etc. Helpful, attentive hosts, simple but delicious breakfasts, tranquil setting. Spotlessly clean and luxurious rooms.

Nothing, it was perfect.
