It was such a quaint historical building. It has all the necessary modern amenities without taking away from the vintage feel of the place. The view from our room was lovely. Our host left a lovely personal touch of easter eggs amongst our continental breakfast. The location was excellent, as we were right at the centre of the Tilba shops being less than a minutes walk from iconic locations like the lolly shop and the tilba dairy shop.
The room was smaller than expected, but that just contributed to the cozy charm of the place. The staircase was very narrow and close to the ceiling - this wasn't a big issue but just something to be aware of if you are a tall person.

This hotel was exceptional and exceeded my expectations in many ways. The room and common areas offered a gorgeous view that looks out onto the valley, so much so that we spent half a day reading a book by the window. The breakfast provided was the best of the local produce: Creamy milk and cheese from Tilba itself, bread from the nearby bakery and some cold-pressed juice. The bookshelf offered a good selection of history and fiction books that matched the place both in theme and look. The rooms were clean and the toiletries selected with care. The owners are lovely people and I would love to come back again. The town itself became busy during the day but became quiet from the late afternoon. Great hikes nearby.

The ambiance of the building and interior. Great position and very comfortable with a good continental breakfast (although there no peanut butter) Loved all the old style fittings - it gave you a bit of an idea what it was like "in the old days". Appreciated the modern appliances though. Wonderful little town to explore. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
No peanut butter. Shower heads sprayed water everywhere. Nothing else.

Absolutely loved staying in an historic house with all its quirks and character. Our room was wonderful - the Dame Zara room. It had everything we needed including an electric blanket on the bed and heater in the room. We enjoyed breakfast on the balcony overlooking Central Tilba on Saturday morning. The kitchen had plenty of teas to choose from and a coffee machine. Nice continental breakfast.
Being an older home there is not much insulation which is to be expected. It just meant we could hear the other guests in the house.

The property is old-style, well maintained B&B in the small town of Tilba, and located right at the heart of the town. If you step out of it, the nearby local market and small shops give you a very homely, safe and warm feeling as the people of this town are the real treasure. We ate at the nearby pub where we also played in a small game and had some of the best times interacting with the town folk♥️

Lovely spot. Comfortable and good location, nice extras provided, especially tilba cheese and bickies.
Only thing that might have been nice is a bit more milk as there was coffee and a milk.frother, but not enough milk to froth, really, and leave milk left for other things. But this is minor. Was really nice.

We loved absolutely everything about the 2 Storey B&B at Tilba. To start with, they offered an early check-in when we mentioned we were arriving at 12, which was surprising and lovely. When we arrived, Claire was welcoming and friendly and showed us to our quaint and cosy room, with tasteful old world furnishings and a wonderfully soft bed that looked over the valley, with bucolic views of cows and such. The shower was hot and the pressure excellent. We had a quick bite to eat at the bakery - we both had cheese and cauliflower pies and were pleasantly surprised, as a few years ago the pies had gone down in quality. Now they are excellent again! Claire recommended that we book a restaurant for dinner a couple of days before our arrival (either the Dromedary Hotel or the Sweetwater Smokehouse Bar and Grill). We chose Sweetwater (just across the road from the B&B) and were blown away by their food and cocktails - really amazing food, all based on smoky flavours with every single flavour perfectly balanced. Hats off to Chris and the team there. After an evening stroll through town (everything is shut at that time, apart from the pub and Sweetwater) and a walk up the hill to take in the breathtaking views and breathe clean country air, we retired. Our room was completely silent and we slept very soundly. In the morning, we discovered breakfast treats waiting for us in the fridge - croissants, fruit bread, butter, jam, cheese, juices, proper coffee and even a teapot with leaf tea. Local specialties of Tilba cheese, Tilba milk and Tilba fudge were also included and much appreciated. After leaving we drove down to Tilba beach (via Sherringham Lane), which was completely empty, and had a quick and refreshing jump in the ocean before recommencing our travels. Thank you so much for a relaxing and delightful stay in Tilba. We will most certainly be back!
It was all amazing. I couldn't fault it. The bathroom will probably get better flooring one day - it was a kind of 70s vinyl that doesn't age well and was the only thing that wasn't perfect. It honestly didn't bother me, but if you're looking for something to complain about...

A good stay in Tilba; a very pretty location and fine small village with good cafes and quaint abience. Our room on the bottom floor was excellent with a bath and a good view out the window. Good kitchen with milk and good coffee available. The local shop and bakery next door is excellent
We never met the owners or any manager. It felt a bit odd. Otherwise, we liked it.

Its: -position- right in Tilba -breakfast- everything needed for a really good continental breakfast -wifi- since the tv in the property wasn’t working, we could at least watch the news on our iPads ( it was the days of/after Queen Elizabeth died) - Sweetwater which is across the road. we had a fantastic night there
The information about the property should be updated to include a second place to dine at Tilba in the evening. we like variety and even though the pub is a good place to eat, we found that there was a fantastic establishment across the road- Sweetwater, probably our highlight of the weekend.

A quaint and historic building right in town. delightfully decorated , clean and comfortable. such a lovely host with fresh tilba goodies in the fridge for us. woke to a busker outside our door and markets across the road and a wonder through the historic village of tilba filled with amazing shops and food . surrounded by National parks walks and beaches this place is magical . The building has 3 separate bedrooms with share facility lounge and kitchen . would recommend a group stay.
