Beautiful building in central location

We cannot fault our stay

We got upgraded to a massive room which even though it didn't have a window, it was perfect. The bed was huge and comfy, it was super clean, the shower was nice and so was the shampoo, there was soooo much space and even a velvety sofa, the decor was so cool. No complaints at all. The staff were super nice and helped when we couldn't get the wi-fi to work. The brown haired woman at reception was really lovely. The hotel's restaurant was really nice but the staff there weren't very friendly. The food was pretty good, though, especially the guacamole. We'll stay here again.

Everybody was very polite in the hotel. The breakfast was excellent and the room was comfortable and spotless. The hotel is really close to everything you want to see in the city: the sights, restaurants, cafés and shops.

It would have been really nice to have a proper shower cabin. I mean the bathroom was absolutely modern but having a shower without a cabin door made the bathroom a mess. It was also a bit disappointing to have windows looking onto a lichthof.

The Modernist is very nicely decorated with photos of famous bands and rock stars from 70s through to the 90s, presumably taken by a local photographer. The location is superb within walking distance of the main attractions and shopping streets. You can unload your car outside the hotel entrance and then have it parked for you in a nearby parking garage and returned to you on your departure. The hotel has its own restaurant, which has an excellent and varied menu with plenty of veggie/vegan options. A very good breakfast is also served in this restaurant. We upgraded at a very reasonable rate to an incredible, spacious room on the 6th floor (the lift only goes to this room on the 6th floor) with an enormous floor-to-ceiling window that looks out over the roofs of Trieste. The staff were at all times friendly, flexible and helpful.

Very comfortable hotel with an excellent breakfast and very helpful staff in a terrific central location; especially good value relative to the cost of the room, and I appreciate that I was allowed to stay in the room through 4:30 pm the following day for 1/2 the room charge, which made a huge difference as I had to get some work done. Room also had a very good desk, excellent bathroom with a "rainwater" shower head.

Great breakfast with super coffee! City location, walking distance to antique Roman theater, restaurants, bars and coffee shops. King-size bed very comfy. Interior design of the hotel, the bar and the room is interesting, inspiring, use of quality materials, old-wood reused for furniture and decor. Guests get 15% price discount in the nearby parking lot in walking distance, cca. EUR17 per day.

The street Corso d' Italia is very noisy even with closed windows. We could not sleep with open windows for the noise. Air conditioning must be run overnight - noisy too.

We had a mini bar, we would almost forget it still existed since corona. My girlfriend loved it. But besides that, the designer of the hotel deserves an award. It's not the most fancy hotel but they really thought about a lot of styling details. This together with a friendly staff and a good breakfast made this hotel wonderful

The rooms are not super big but for us this was not an issue, so it depends a bit upon the purpose of your stay

Very good location, beautiful building. In the middle of busy city center but the rooms are extremely quiet, no noise from the street at all. Very friendly staff. Beautiful design. Elevator available. Spacious and clean rooms.

There wasn’t really a place to park the car. However there is a public undeground parking right nearby (San Giusto parking). We parked our car there and walked with our bags (2min walk). The hotel also does valet parking when requested. Breakfast was very nice but unfortunately pastries and eggs were not replenished after 9 ‘o clock…

This is an absolutely unique experience. A super stylish place that brings pleasure with its design ideas. Fantastic breakfast. Every minute at this hotel is a pleasure. The location is great. I wish the creators of this unforgettable place inspiration to implement new amazing projects.

If you have a car, you will have to park it in a parking a few minutes from the hotel. But it turned out to be easier than it might seem.

In general, the hotel exceeds all expectations in terms of accommodation, cleanliness, location, quality of breakfast, parking organization, but the hotel staff deserves special praise and compliments, from the reception team, restaurant staff to room service and cleaners. there are few hotels that can be said to deserve every star formally awarded to them, but this one certainly does. Simply the best and pet friendly!
