The room was very spacious, cleaned and bright as described and shown in the pictures in a central area which I found quiet and safe. In a few minutes walking you can reach many points of interest. Bed was really comfy, the bathroom cleaned with everything you need. The host was absolutely amazing, she texted me and provided all the informations needed for the check in which was extremely easy and added a set of towel last minute. Very helpful!

Unfortunately the curtains were thin and see through. Not a big deal overall.

Everything is within walking distance to local amenities and attractions with a wide variety of restaurants and cafe's. Being able to park near our accommodation without paying for parking due to the public holiday was a bonus. The people are quite friendly and helpful if you get stuck trying to find your way around. I recommend you visit the local fashion exhibition if you enjoy this type. We were provided with a map of the city which was very helpful as well.

Getting around in a car in the city.

The location, 15 minutes walk from the station and just minutes from the "grand canal" was excellent. The price was very reasonable. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was minimal but fine. The room was quite spacious and the two shared bathrooms were kept very clean.

I requested a quiet room but was given one directly on the street. Noisy street cleaning vehicles are active from 6am! Right opposite, a building is having its facade renovated so the air and dust contamination can be pretty extreme. The curtains in the bathroom need to be fitted better to give proper privacy. The white walled rooms were perhaps a touch sterile.

Large room very clean and freshly renovated. Some breakfast provided in a large dining area with balcony a microwave for people to use if they wanted, though no washing up possibility, just reheating in microwave, no 'proper' kitchen per sec. Great location near the beautiful canal area, very safe. Good access via a lift.

I should have read the small print, but just to warn people who don't realise, it's fan only, NO A/C. It was OK when I was there early July, but I think it would be way too hot with just a fan any time after that.

Smart rooms is perfectly located in the center of Trieste. The staff was always available and helped us when we needed information and to store our luggage the day of checkout. During summer they provide a nice basic breakfast which helps start the day with the right foot. We had a room with shared bathroom and there was always an available bathroom when we needed it. The bathroom is big and comfortable. The room had a desk and the wifi speed was remarkably fast - a rarity on budget hotels.

Relatively cheap, close to the city center, contactless check in/out, two bathrooms to cover several rooms (no problem with occupancy), kitchen with basic equipment (including kettle, cofee and tea, plates, cutlery) and balcony. What more could you want? :)

Information on how to check in was sent very late (half an hour before check in time) so there was a little confusion.

Perfectly located, with basic but very clean facilities, it is excellent value for money. We really appreciated the receptionist's friendly welcome, assistance and local information. She also offered my Mum a pretty flower bouquet for her special birthday occasion which was so lovely :) Thank you for everything!

Clean, cosy accomodation. Excellent location, absolutely in the middle of the old town.

There was refrigerator only in the kitchen. I would be more comfortable if it were in one room, especially in a hot summer like this.

The location was perfect, right in the city center. The place was very clean, and the staff were friendly. After leaving our room, they kindly allowed us to leave our backpacks there.

Our room was very hot, and even though we had a fan, it wasn't enough to cool the place down.

The property already mentioned that doors should not be slammed. Most people follow the rules and are gentle with closing doors. But if you are not lucky, you will get a neighbour who isn't careful. It can be really disturbing.
