It is in a beautiful location. If traveling with a 4x4, you just have to be careful not to miss the sign that takes you to the property off-road. The staff were attentive and we wrote messages prior to the arrival. Welcoming was nice and they took us up to the sunset spot; amazing. Bags were taken to the room. Our villa was very clean and cozy, surrounded with some nice trees and a lot of birds that sing during the sunrise (very unique). Food was really nice, so many options and you can sit inside or outside. If you really want to enjoy the desert, I would suggest even two nights.

The only thing we did not like was the music at the restaurant, during the dinner. It would be better something more neutral, calm, like lounge music or something like that.

We had a very nice stay at the resort. The staff was welcoming and warm. Bedrooms were quite nice and comfortable. We had a view on the dunes and we would wake up in the morning with Camels passing by. The food was very good (which is rare of me to say when it comes to self service offers). The resort is very beautiful and every evening the staff brings you on top of the dunes for free to give you the opportunity to visit and enjoy the sunset with some tea and water. It's much appreciated. We also went to the spa which is very nice and clean. The 1h20 massage and face treatment were very relaxing. I definitely recommend and would go back there gladly.

I think it would be nice to have more activities inside the camp itself. The outside activities are a bit pricey (I've been to many deserts and would say this is the most expensive I have seen so we could not do all we wanted). So, to cope with this it would be great to have more things to do inside the camp (which definitely lacks a pool btw).

Location was brilliant, right in the desert. The villas were comfortable and relaxing. Everything was clean. AC was working fully. The restaurant food was exceptional and the staff were always helpful. Loved the lounge / games area as it kept the kids occupied. Plenty of activities for the family. Spa was a bonus as well

Shame they didn’t have a film on in the outdoor cinema area but my guess was that it was peak summer and off peak season so the resort was less than half full. My 15 and 12 year olds couldn’t do quad biking as they were too young but it was a shame they didn’t have a smaller version for teens.

It's a perfect place for someone like me who loves nature but equally loves comfort and is not ready to sleep in a real tent in the desert. The resort is not far from the town, which is great if you need a doctor, for example. If you don't have a 4-wheeler, you can pay for a pick up to be arranged from the nearest petrol station to the resort. We enjoyed our stay because the staff were outstanding, very polite and helpful. The breakfast and dinner were amazing. The place is beautiful and quiet at night, so we appreciated the getaway from Muscat. The villa was clean and cozy, but some tiny things (lamp shade, showerhead) needed replacement.

Upon arrival, my bag was taken care of and I received a wet towel to clean my hands, received Arabic coffee and some dates. The room was nice and clean. The (thrilling) drive up the dunes to see the sunset is complimentary, as well as the drinks up the dunes. Nice view from up the dunes. Also some camels around the camp to take some pictures/selfies. :-) Breakfast and dinner are included. Road is accessible without 4WD, as long as you lower the tire pressure, turn off the traction control system and maintain sufficient speed. I had a small SUV (Suzuki Vitara) and this was fine. Most people come with a 4WD SUV and this makes the trip easier. You can also arrange a pick-up from the nearby petrol station for approximately € 35 -€ 40. When out of the desert, after you turn left, there is a tire shop to fill up your tires again for OMR 1.

You are staying in a desert, so be aware that the desert sand is everywhere. So watch out for your camera equipment for example. There is no swimming pool, except if you rent the villa. Besides, all activities (camel ride, quad ride, dune bashing, sandboarding) are quite expensive. Meat options for dinner were fairly limited with only 1 choice of chicken, beef (or fish). The meat was not so tender. I expected more from this based on the price. As there is not much to do in the desert, I recommend to stay only for 1 night.

The only but serious problem was, that their Phone number on Booking doesnt work at all ! I wasnt able to call them to arrange the transport in the day of arrival. E-mail no reaction that day. Whatsapp doesnt work. I had to organize transport from petrol station by myself, had to pay more as by transport from the resort. After arrival I asked the receptionist to make a discount for this inconvenience, to "neutral" the money I had to pay extra. But no answer or better say, he doesnt try anything. It wasnt about few euros/rials it was just about to be fair. But OK, it was fault of 1 man, but everything except this was perfect !

Highly recommend. We felt all the staff we interacted with were very friendly and that they clearly wanted their guests to enjoy their stay. We found our room to be modern, comfortable, clean and a cool respite from the heat. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunset on the dunes with drinks. Dinner provided a wide range of tastes and in generous portions. The meals served exceeded our expectations. We took advantage of leaving our non-4WD hire car at the nearby petrol station overnight, and having the expert dune drivers take us the 12 kms or so to the resort and back. Their drivers also made going up and down the dunes a lot of fun.

The only thing I can think of and this is very minor would be to have a reading light in the rooms. The mood lighting was lovely, but it would have been handy to have a stronger light to read under at night time.

Location was excellent- easy to reach yet fully in the dunes wilderness. I loved being on the top of the dunes at sunset. Staff team were warm, welcoming and really cared for the guests. Rooms were clean, beds very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for a shower.

Restaurant staff who tried to make me sit inside at dinner as I was travelling solo so other guests could sit outside. I felt this was unfair, and thankfully the manager agreed.... as it turned out there were plenty of spaces outside- more than enough for everyone.
