EVERYTHING, absolutely everything was fantastic. From our airport pick up to our drop off, everything exceeded our expectation. Our room was up graded to a suite, which was an incredible surprise, and generous gift, thank you! The suite was very spacious, with sea views, comfortable bed, luxury bathroom. Generous amount of complementary water in the room Access to the sauna and spa bath Buggy transport on site - just call reception and a buggy will pick you up & drop you off within minutes (anywhere within the hotel grounds, which is quite large and hilly) Beautifully manicured gardens, gorgeous pool, and a separate pool for children The breakfast buffet was excellent, fresh and extensive choice Ordering food by the pool or at the beach was easy, and the food comes delivered in a large closed bento box - clean, and hygienic, very good idea. Polite, smily and friendly staff!

This is probably the only thing ... The hotel restaurants are open to outside guests. On one occasion, having rowdy bar drinkers (jumping in the pool!) close to our table really did spoil the dinner experience a bit.

It was packed with Chinese tourists and children, making it all rather nightmarish. Vastly over-priced given the circumstances. Was stung by jellyfish while swimming- the lifeguard said "it doesn't hurt much" which was rather obnoxious.

My stay at the Ritz-Carlton, Langkawi was nothing short of exceptional. The breakfast buffet was delicious, offering a wide variety of high-quality dishes. The staff across all sections of the hotel were extremely supportive and attentive, ensuring every need was met with care. The resort is set in a fantastic location, offering stunning views and a serene atmosphere. The room facilities were top-notch, and the beds were by far the most comfortable I've ever experienced. Truly a luxurious and memorable stay!

We couldn't fully enjoy the terrace due to the presence of monkeys, which made it necessary to keep the doors shut at all times. Additionally, all transportation within the resort is via golf buggy, which can feel a bit restrictive. The beach and pool areas close quite early, around 7 PM, limiting evening relaxation options. Lastly, the restrooms lack bidets, so you have to request them to be installed.

Probably one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had! So many food choices and I ate different things every single day! Hotel is very easy to reach to from Langkawi airport. The room was incredibly spacious and felt super clean! The facilities around the hotel are also very well kept and everything looks beautiful! One of our highlights was the beach area - super quiet and peaceful and very well equipped: enough sunbeds, paddle surf and kayak available, refreshments... The restaurants we tried were very good, specially Hai Yan

Only one negative comment... I asked the staff at the Beach Grill (restaurant by pool and beach) if I had to book a table to eat there and they advised I had to. Booked a table for the day after for lunch and requested one the tables specifically with views. Got there in time for the booking and the table was free and clean - I asked for the table mentioning I had a booking and they asked me to wait. Another family arrived 5 min after us and they gave that table that was meant to be for us leaving us with only tables at the back or the bar available with no view.. ended up not eating that day

The staff was incredibly friendly and taking our son's allergy seriously. At every restaurant, they were informing us about what food are safe for him to eat. The staff at the beach bar even went above and beyond making a dairy free oreo oatmilkshake when they learned about his dairy allergy. The rainforest junior suite was comfortable and large enough for to adults and two toddlers. Beautiful beach and nice pool

The rooms should be properly cleaned with a vacuum cleaner and a mop during the daily clean. This sticky roller that's currently used, just pickks up dust and hair, but anything heavier like crumbs etc is left, which felt quite dirty after a week of staying in the same room.

The villa itself inside was absolutely beautiful, the bed was one of the comfiest I've ever slept in. Villa was kept spotlessly clean. Housekeeping staff were truly wonderful, personal touches like leaving bookmarks and towel art, running baths etc was lovely. Spa was magnificent, we did a bubu spa experience and is the best spa day I've ever had. Spa manager was kind, helpful and friendly. Staff made a lot of recognition of our wedding anniversary, we received cards, flowers etc. Very lovely.

There was quite a bit of construction work ongoing during our stay, so days by our villa pool and the main pool were quite noisy. Breakfast service was poor - staff lovely but 3 days of our 6 our tea/coffee didn't arrive until after we had finished eating. In restaurants we also got the wrong order a couple of times, and twice people arrived at our villa to take us to cooking experiences we hadn't booked. Food was good but having eaten amazing local food at £2 a dish for 2 weeks on our travels in Malaysia before Langkawi, you really do pay a tourist price for it and it's westernised, but I understand why.

This resort and our room was beautiful, and service was absolutely outstanding! We visited for 3 nights for my husband's 30th birthday. The staff went above and beyond when I requested a few balloons at dinner at the fine dining Chinese restaurant Hai Yan, and gave us a dish on the house. The breakfast every morning at the Langkawi kitchen was fantastic, with a great variety and good vegan options too. We also had great massages at the spa. We loved the adults only infinity pool - spent most of our time there. Would 100% recommend the Ritz-Carlton.

One tiny comment: sometimes the bathroom drain had a funny smell after a shower/running tap water, but might be a given since the resort is on the edge of a forest and beach! Nothing that would stop me from booking again!

I don't often write reviews, but it would be a shame not to share my experience at the Ritz-Carlton Langkawi and recommend this fantastic place to everyone. Everything was perfect—impeccable services, attention to detail, well-equipped rooms, friendly staff always ready to assist. The breakfast restaurant set in the jungle with a beautiful terrace offered a diverse menu and a generous buffet with very kind employees. Funny fact: during scrambled eggs and lovely capuccino we were visited by the resident monkeys, that were greeting us every morning and stealing sugar from our table. What a lovely day to start the morning! I highly recommend trying the Beach Grill restaurant, where the chef truly impressed us. Besides the excellently prepared food, he crafted a mango salad based on our preferences and on request he prepared for us a “surprise dinner" that was absolutely extraordinary. The Horizon beach bar offered us a beautiful sunset by a chilled rose wine. The music played by the Dj helped the perfect atmosphere along with the fresh and luxurious food. The Chinese restaurant by the ocean, with its elegant design and impeccable food, added to the overall excellence. I used the spa services twice, with the 120-minute massage rituals, used one hou before the facilities like the sauna and jacuzzi, and I left from there relaxed and speechless. At some point we did a walk in the jungle with a guide provided by the hotel. Of course the hike was beautiful, we’ve reached a private beach with a great view, but more than that, we were impressed with the young guide, vast culture and full of knowledge and also his perfect English. Many thanks to Mia, which offered us a perfect lovely evening and a memory that we cannot forget.

This was the best hotel we ever stayed at. The hotel is beautiful, surrounded by rainforest, and has a lovely private beach. The water is always warm. The gardens are very well taken care of and the decoration of all the inside spaces is just perfect. There are many wild animals around the gardens (monkeys, lizards, etc), but the room is extremely clean and we never had any intruders. Our room was beautiful, larger than it seems in the photos. The restaurants are a bit expensive compared to the ones outside the hotel, but the price is justified by the excellent quality of the food and the attentive waiters. We felt that in this hotel, the guests are truly taken care of and all the staff makes an effort to provide you the best experience, with small surprises in the room everyday, for example. We also did a rainforest tour organized by the hotel that we enjoyed a lot, and the guide was very knowledgeable.

The air conditioner is a little bit noisy at night.

Very friendly staff. We are vegetarian and require special dietary needs. We did have a Chef at Lankavi Kitchen who was always obliged. Chef Shaun at Horizon restaurant was amazing; we tasted some great vegetarian food, which he happily prepared for us. The housekeeping staff, Ashok and Ramesh, were terrific and took good care of us. I do not remember many names which I wanted to put there, but overall amazing experience.

Some of the beach restaurants and points were closed for maintenance would have been great if they were open at the time of our stay.
