Fantastic large rooms, small but cute balcony with a lovely view, strong air conditioning. Walkable location to everything in the old town. Great bathroom, clean, good hot water! We stayed here twice (both before and after a San Blas sail and the hotel kindly stored our bags for us with no charge. Yes, as everyone says, the rooftop bar is loud and carries on into the night. If you accept that is just part of the hotel and wear earplugs then the other positives make up for this. Laundry was offered for a ‘tip’ service (we topped 10 USD).

As above, very loud rooftop bar. Door knobs with key code access were fidgety and a little annoying.

The location is excellent for exploring Casco Viejo and the Oasis offers large unusually furnished accomodation, many of the rooms being on two floors, with kitchen and two bathrooms. The rooftop bar is a great place to view the city in a congenial atmosphere with a range of drinks and bar snacks. The staff are friendly and obliging.

The same rooftop bar produces a great deal of noise, both loud music and noisy guests departing sometimes after 2am, if you are a light sleeper, this can really put a damper on your stay, if you are, either consider another hotel, or taking ear plugs. The hotel could simply improve matters by turning down the volume, but despite being aware of the issue, seem disinclined to do so.

Location was great.. close to everything. We had a beautiful room overlooking the bay to the city. A wonderful balcony to sit back have a drink and people watch. Staff very pleasant and helpful especially house keeping. The kitchen was a benefit if wanting to dine in. Room and bathroom clean, bed and pillows very comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. After 6 weeks travelling this matters a lot. Laundry service, tip $10 recommended. Supermarket 5 minute walk. Safety deposit box. Toiletries.

The noise could be an issue for some though it didn’t bother me all. Don’t expect a hot shower, lukewarm at best.

We stayed in 2 rooms on 2 occasions here, both rooms were really suites, big with high ceilings dining table and chairs and kitchen. Our first room was at the front and had a double balcony with great views of the bay and over to the skyline of newer Panama city. Our second room had no windows at all, but was for 3, I had made a mistake with our booking. The woman who was working when we arrived was really helpful and gave a tour of the room explaining things, when she wasn't there there was no-one else on reception, there seemed to be a man around but he paid no attention to us at all. We really appreciated the help of the woman who was cleaning when we arrived the second time too early to check-in and there was no receptionist and who made up the 3rd bed we didn't need. It's got a lift but there are still steps to the rooms. It's in a handy location for walking around Casco Viejo, but not near the metro or bus lines.

The noise from the rooftop bar permeates the whole building and is pretty hard to ignore. The kitchen areas don't have cooking equipment, like pans, so we couldn't cook but did use the fridge and toaster. (There was a coffee pod machine too). The food options on the roof are limited and poor quality but expensive, avoid if you can

Really lovely restored building in the centre of Casco Viejo. Our room (in the penthouse) had beautiful views across the bay, and was spacious and comfortable. There was also a very nice communal lounge, which I imagine would be great if you wanted a bit of space to chill outside a dorm room. Most of all, the staff were extremely warm and helpful, and the (free) guided tour was also great, and a wonderful way to start the holiday.

Because it's so central, there's quite a bit of noise from the bars etc. outside, but it's not too bad.

My room was huge! I slept in the loft. The bed was comfortable and large. It was nice to have a separate living room and kitchen. The refrigerator and microwave came in handy. The entire room was very clean. As I was on a lower floor, the noise from the rooftop bar wasn't too bad but definitely recommend ear plugs!

I wish that reception staff was around. Luckily, there was a very helpful cleaning lady who would answer my questions and track down the reception staff for me when necessary. Be advised - some knowledge of the Spanish language is very helpful as she didn't speak English.

The room is huge for the price that I paid. The living room/kitchen part of the room has high ceiling. The balcony facing the sea has great scenery. Facilities in the room are beyond my expectation.

The corridor outside of the room where the lift is located is hot like hell as the air-conditioner compressors are placed there. It doesn't affect the temperature in the room but it is awful every time you need to leave and come back to your room.

There was no breakfast included. The bed was among the best we experienced in five weeks of travel throughout Colombia, so Panama came through on that matter. The view from our balcony was incredible!

There is a little quirkiness with the layout of the rooms. Some may find it charming; others may lean towards awkward. The lower priced room we originally booked was unacceptable, so the upgrade was somewhat forced on us. Still, the location and the balcony made all of the difference to the quality of our stay.

This hotel has so much character and charm and is so close to the attractions of Casco Viejo that I was astonished it was such a good value. The receptionist was absolutely wonderful, as well. I ran into a lot of people that were pretty chilly when it came to dealing with tourists and she was just as warm and genuine and helpful as could be!

Be aware that this part of old town is aiming for the night/party scene. The upper floors, at least, of this hotel throb until 2 am with the thundering rooftop bar and even when it stops, you can hear (and feel) the neighboring establishments for another couple hours! Not for the light sleeper...

If this place is available, and in your price range, and you want to stay in Casco Viejo, its definetely worth it, the biggest, suite/hotel room we have had, fully equipped kitchen, balconies, two bathrooms, just great. They have a rooftop bar, which we went for couple drinks in the evening, the view of Panama city was spectacular

Prices vary very highly per day, we booked early and paid much more than the price I saw on booking.com if I would just book on the day. Drinks at the rooftop bar were quite pricey.
