The room was very comfortable and exceptionally good value. We have stayed in more expensive hotels with rooms that were not as well finished as this room. The location is great for visiting places in the local area: Durham is about 20 minutes' drive, the same for the MetroCentre and it is about half an hour into the centre of Newcastle. Given the location right by the A1, the room was very quiet. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed having the services next door with its MacDonalds and WH Smiths. We will definitely be returning.
We were completely happy with the room.

it was a family of 5 and this was the only place in the area that could properly accommodate all of us. I liked that the sofa bed was just as big as the regular bed and was positioned in a way that wasn't disruptive at all. I liked that the breakfast time was 6-10/11 and could be taken up to the rooms. This really allowed us to optimise our time better as i had a graduation for 7 am and was still able to get breakfast to go. I really liked that the breakfast was set up by 6 and didn't require us to speak to staff to order. It was just readily available when we went downstairs. Also we were able to order food to the rooms free of charge.
The room was comfortable but very cold and there were issues with navigating the heating system. We couldn't understand why the heating/cooling system in our rooms kept blowing cold air when we'd turn the system on. However, the system in the kitchen/living room hybrid continuously blew hot air which is what we wanted. We ended up having to just turn it off which allowed the room to stay a bit warm.

Room - we were very surprised by the very clean and modern room for the price we paid. Generally the hotel was in a good shape, freshly modernised. Location - 10 minutes from Dereham, a good place to stay. A McDonalds and Costa next door for snacks or a morning coffee. While we didn't have food in the place, there was a little bar area and breakfast available.
Check-In: We went to the reception counter and no one was around. We looked for a bell but nothing was found. After a minute a women sitting behind us with her laptop got up and asked if we wanted to check in. Overall the demeanour of the staff at the recpetion could've been more friendly and paid more attention to their surroundings.

First of all, they have the best staff - from the front desk staff to the housekeepers. They truly have shown that they loved their jobs and their commitment to making the guests comfortable. Very friendly and responsive too. Secondly, everything in hotel seemed new. The bed was very comfortable. When my son flew in on the last night we were there, and had wanted to sleep with us before he were going to his dorm in Durham University, the hotel staff was quick to set up the sofa bed in our room. My son said it was the most comfortable sofa bed he had slept in. Parking was ample and the McDonalds next door was a bonus as we would have quick breakfast there every morning.

Reception staff were very welcoming on arrival. Room was very clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Pet friendly as my dog was travelling with me. Free parking on site...just gave reception my registration number. Ideally situated at service station so close to amenities for food. Hotel also serves food (pizza) and has a bar for alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Was great value for money! I even have a pet passport sramp....if my dog stays a certain number of times then they get a free stay!
Couldnt open the windows and quite a bit of condensation was building up. The heating system...prefer a radiator (but just my personal preference)

Stayed in a 2 bed suite with a kitchen and living area. Was absolutely perfect as we had a toddler with us and meant we had a fridge and a place to do meals and snacks. Spotlessly clean. Staff were lovely and even recommended a gorgeous park on our way home to let the little one run off some energy before our drive. Brilliant TV streaming system straight from your phone was a bonus. It's half way between our house and the grandparents so I think we'll be back! Brilliant value, this size room would definitely cost alot more in the city.
Air con and extractor fan are quite noisy. Didn't impact the boys, just me as I'm a light sleeper! It was great to leave dishwasher tabs but felt a bit silly putting on a load for a few dishes, couldn't get washing up liquid at service station shops on site. A wee dustpan and brush would be a great addition to the kitchen/dining space! We had a messy kid and I would have liked to clean up the floor more to help the housekeeping staff.

Given the location, I honestly expected much less, considering it was a roadside hotel located in a service area. However, once we arrived, we found that it was very new and well-maintained, with modern and nice decor. The rooms were small but well-equipped and comfortable. The breakfast was simple but adequate. The staff was very helpful, and they provided us with a very convenient and pleasant space to have dinner with the products we brought ourselves.
The location, in the middle of the highway and a 15-minute drive from downtown Durham, and the fact that the hotel window couldn't be opened.

Very clean and spacious - rooms were stunning and extremely clean. No fault at all with the room. Lots of sockets for your phones etc and even had a USB option, which is great. I also left a personal belonging in my room when I left and the staff were extremely helpful and quick in resolving this issue by looking for it, keeping me Informed and returning it. Maybe could have some biscuits with the coffee amenities.
I stayed here two nights and unfortunately the cleaners don’t seem to have consideration for the customers. As they were very loud outside the room and shouting on. The next morning, a cleaner helped herself into my room! When I wasn’t even due to check out. Apart from that - nothing to fault at all.

just off A1. Clean and tidy. staff were friendly. bed comfortable. shower took 5 minutes to heat up but once it had it was lovely. Big TV breakfast was more than adequate. there was toast, pancakes or crumpets for you to grill on the toaster. 3 types of cereal, granola, yogurt, jams and honey and pastries plus a choice of different coffees or tea.
the cafe side has a very limited menu. only about 5 different pizzas or fries. Literally nothing else. a little over priced too as the pizza was a bit soggy

location easy to find, room size comfortable and professional staff
cost of additional breakfast per person was a little high for what was on offer. We was informed when we came for breakfast only limited items where on display to choose from which was disappointing and let you down. We also thought the price of £2 (although isn't a lot) for a bacon or sausage sandwich should have been included in the price of the breakfast not as an additional cost. Also a bulb was missing in the room in the bedside lamp.
