Less activities in the resort like outside trips, and there is a resturant which not open every day, and checkout was not perfect like check in

The Vellasaru experience starts from the point you come out of the airport to the point you hand your bags at the airline counter. It was amazing throughout. The staff at the resort were extremely friendly. Breakfast was great. Room was spacious and clean. The island was really well maintained. And honestly we could not ask for more. Views were amazing, marine life was decent and plenty of activities to keep you busy for 5 days. My little one did not want to leave the island and wanted to buy a house in the Maldives 😀

Food options for lunch and dinner were limited, but not a put off.

*Menus need more international options *As only few restaurants on the Island need to extend time for their service 22:00 is too early to close. *Kids club is missing, there is so much espace and it will be a great advantage * need more activities, parties, games music around and about.

choices were excellent, location was fine

there were a few things I didn't like, first the open bathroom which made me very nervous, especially when I had to use the toilet in the middle of the night, second, the room lighting was a bit dim even with all the lamps on, there should have been an option for brighter lighting... and being a non swimmer, a safety rail around the pool would have made the experience much more enjoyable...

Everything was wonderful and I highly recommend this resort hotel. Fabulous welcome from the staff at the pontoon at ‘speedboat arrival’ and a personal welcome in reception at 7.30am from the general manager Denis - superb hospitality. Location was perfect, the island has a great location only 25 minutes from Male. Quiet, small island which is easy to navigate. Quality resort, no ‘bun fighting’ for anything at all including sun beds. Friendly and speedy check in. Early check in to the room. Excellent breakfast. Extensively stocked bar and efficient table service Spacious and clean Deluxe Villa. Very comfortable bed and soft linen. Well stocked mini bar and larger safe to place a lap top in. Excellent ‘express’ laundry service. Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and professional staff throughout. Unbelievable white powdered sands and crystal clear turquoise blue seas just a few steps away from the room. Umbrellas at the front door if it rains. Excellent WiFi coverage. Recommend the sunset cruise on a traditional Dhow: excellent experience and great value at $68 to include canapés and sparkling wine.

Small comment - A little pricy in the Mediterranean Al carte restaurant. Surf and turf (8oz fillet and a few small lobster pieces) - $68. I appreciate this included service charge and government taxes but thought it should have been more around $45. I asked for it medium rare and it was overcooked (medium well).

Amazing five-star resort. Loved absolutely everything about it. Everything was top notch. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, the food was delicious and the portions at the restaurants were huge. We stayed at a beach villa and had a practically private beach all to ourselves right in front of the bungalow. The villas with the pools seemed a bit further away from the beach than ours was, so definitely take into consideration if you want to get as much fun in the water as possible. Take advantage of the spa, the massages are amazing. Also, definitely reserve the complimentary activities (like boat cruise, yoga, snorkeling) in advance, ideally even before you arrive (the hotel sends you a list of daily activities beforehand), as the spots fill out quickly. If you're brave enough to go snorkeling with the sharks - definitely recommend!

Can't really think of anything.. everything was really great. Any questions/requests were sorted within minutes from room service to cleaning to special dietary requests and even seeing the doctor. When we were leaving there was a small issue with the boat we were on, within 15 minutes all of us and our luggage were already on another boat on our way to the airport. So again, nothing to mention about dislikes.
