Resort is well kept and its location is perfect as it is close to Male, only a 20 minute speedboat ride (arranged by the resort) however the resort is showing its age. Breakfast and dinner buffet was awesome, nice variety of foods. Beach is beautiful, there is a coral reef (Coral garden) around the island for those who like to snorkel. Grounds are very well kept.

Drinking water provided in the room is limited to 1 l/person (2 bottles/room). This is rather little amount. You can buy water in plastic bottles (1,5 l). It would be nice to provide unlimited drinking water upon request so that the property does not accumulate plastic bottle waste. Plus, the rate to a resort is already not cheap so drinking water would be pretty basic to have as needed.

staff is so friendly & helpful, especially Rasheed at the front desk, he was great help during our stay. food was great & from various cuisines. The whole island was a bless.

breakfast was till 9am only, which was too early for us, taking in consideration that there was time difference. Adding a cheese platter & cold cuts to lunch would be great as we didn't go to breakfast being too early.

The Island and Reef are just amazing to do snorkel. The ambiance is calm and slowlife. The hotel is not luxurious but everything you need, maintaining the essence of the island and nature, which is amazing. The food buffet has a lot of variety and every day the theme changes, amazing grill and pasta.

The rooms are basic, however would be amazing to be updated. Also, having full board, the water during meal periods should be included.

They charge exorbidently for every small thing as their is no nearby market. Staff in Maldives in general is not that friendly as in other countries like Thailand

The beach bungalows were incredible. The way the room opened up to the beach was an absolute dream. They were clean and bright, and just had a very happy and calm vibe. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean was amazing. The food was very good, with lots of options, buffet style. The staff was very friendly and helpful. For anyone considering it, ask for one of the rooms starting with a 7 - like, 74-78. We thought they were the best ones.

We got bumped around the rooms a little, placed in the water villa on the first night even though we booked the beach bungalow. The water villa was not as nice. It was a bit dark and the bathroom was not updated. On the last room, we were placed in an economy room to accommodate a late checkout, but weren't properly informed this would be happening. This room was fairly substandard. All this is fine and not at all a problem, we just didn't get to maximize our stay in the room we chose, the way we would've liked.

One of the best things about being at this resort is the vibe. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and the location of course is amazing. We stayed half board and that worked out to be a good option for us. Breakfast and dinner buffet was very good, with lots of choice, good quality and variety from day to day. We stayed for 5 nights and chilled out to the max! Good value and the experience overall feels more high end than the price would suggest. Transfers are seamless and the rooms are clean and very pleasant - most are located no more than a stones throw from the beautiful sea. Thoroughly recommend!

We were initially given room 59, and as this is quite close to the island power plant we asked to be moved. We had to wait a little while as this was sorted out, but within a couple of hours we were moved to 91, which was super. My advice would be to request not to have room 59, as there is a constant tractor like hum which is audible from the porch of the room - it’s not especially loud, but we found it a little distracting and detracted from the peace and tranquility we were looking for. Absolutely no issues otherwise.

Good house reef but a bit off shore; saw sharks, a turtle, an eel, and tons of fish; friendly staff; close to airport but far enough away to have island vibes

Hot water was inconsistent; not all the beach villas are truly on the beach (20-30 meters away with views obstructed by bushes and trees); 7:30 start time for dinner was late for those with young kids

We had an amazing stay in Embudu Village. It was our fourth visit to Maldives but unfortunately it was our first stay in Embudu Village. It has a good value in comparison to similar alternatives. Welcoming, warmhearted smiles with cocktails, was giving the initial hint for a great stay. We stayed in Beach Bungalow 42 and very satisfied with the location and silence in neighborhood. 1L water/person and coffee and tea supplied every day. There is also kettle and fridge. The bathroom is very large and very convenient. Mucteba maintained our bungalow and he is very kind and perfectly cleaned it everyday. Tasleem served us in the restaurant and he is also very kind and always personalized the service. We are very happy with both of them. Thanks a lot! The restaurant is very clean. The food was plenty and very very tasty! All content was good quality. The cooks and all restaurant employees are great! As a frequent traveler I have not seen such a clean restaurant in many 5* hotels. The drinks are a little bit pricy but I think that is normal to maintain in such a remote location. The island is amazing, with fantastic corals in all directions. We snorkeled every side and once around the island with my daughter in one go. We swam with the sharks one day and the other day with the turtle. We visited the jetty to watch sharks every night, walked around the island two three times a day. The island is fantastic green like a forest and iguanas, crabs, birds made us feel lost in nature. Beaches are very beautiful. The employees cleaning the beaches and leaves everyday doing a great job! Everywhere was always clean. And the speed boat transfer employees are very professional, very caring putting life vests on every passenger and made us feel having a safe trip in all aspects. We think the hotel management is doing great, managing very professionally and all the employees are making the difference. We will absolutely stay in Embudu if we have another chance to Maldives again!

Nothing to complain.

Really well organized, from the airport to the resort, very nice entrance with sand so you just have to leave your shooes and walk barefooted. Amazing choice of good standard food. Our bungalow was in front of the sea and you can choose where ever you want to relax.

The bungalow is very nice with everything you need, clean and in front of the sea but the beds are not comfortable, the mattress must be changed.

We loved Hotel Embudu Village Resort Maldives! Location was great, not far from Male Airport, about 25 minutes by private speedboat. At arrival we were looked after by the very capable reception team of the resort, namely by their knowledgably member Mr. Haaid. Two other remarkable members were Mr. Pushpa and Mr. Dennis who were able to inform and guide us when needed throughout our stay. They made Check-in easy, and our room was at the edge of the beautiful ocean. This Island is perfect for snorkeling, the island has lots of coral., you can experience swimming with Nemos’, sharks, turtles and many beautiful fish. In the evening, just standing at the Pier (main entrance village) you can see the fish at nighttime. There is a Diving school on the Island, here you can rent all your snorkeling equipment starting from $10 USD per item per day. There is a restaurant, where we were able to have fresh coconut juice straight from the coconut every day and ate the pulp of it. The staff provided lots of useful information about the Maldives Islands. Housekeeping checked the room daily if we requested and Mr. Ibrahim did a great job. The room was spotless every time. He made sure that we had everything we needed. Breakfast buffet had fresh fruits, smoothies, pastries and many variations, something for everyone (even lactose free). Thanks to the Head Chef we got a carton of Lactose free milk to take back to our room. The dinner in the restaurant was extremely delicious, good taste and you really finished your plate. Mr. Samad was taking care of us. The kitchen staff (Head Chef and his great team) were fantastic! The most impeccable part of our stay was the entire staff's hospitality, which was A1 and made our stay a very memorable happening. We highly recommend this hotel with their most respected teams of operations.
