It was a truly nice experience staying in this hotel. It was close to the station and the bus to the airport was just in front of the hotel! The onsen facilities were nice and it was amazing to relax after a long day of walking and sightseeing. The additional amenities, like a free massage chair, ice creams in the evening, and the yogurts in the morning, as well as the free serving of noodle soup, were great. The room itself was small but comfortable. There is a shower in the bathroom.

There was some problem with the plumbing in the toilet, sometimes the smell wasn't pleasant. There could be a bigger desk to make working more comfortable. A more general remark is about the no-tattoos rule in the onsen. This is a hotel welcoming international guests and it should take into account that people from other countries have tattoos and this does not mean they are mafia or something. I understand such rules in public places, but in the hotel, it should be adjusted to the kind of guest visiting the place.

We were able to leave our luggage overnight during our 1-night visit to the Goto Islands. Both rooms we stayed in, one on 8th (near elevator) and the other on 3rd (far from elevator), were quiet. We couldn't even hear toilets flushing in adjoining rooms. Water pressure consistently strong. Room design was excellent for 2 people, better and slightly bigger than similar rooms in other hotels we have stayed in in Japan. Cleaner than similar Japanese hotels we have stayed at. All toiletries provided; also pajamas. Fresh towels, bottled water, drip coffee packets provided daily through simple notification next to door. Though we didn't use them, the presence of clothes washers on the 11th floor was a comfort. Washers and soap apparently free while dryers had a fee. LOCATION is convenient to train station and just one short block from Airport bus stop. Interesting feature in elevator: an emergency kit in case one is trapped, including a toilet, water, and flashlight.

Not a con, but an FYI: there are no hooks for hanging clothes in shower room, but there are baskets for placing clothes.

This was incredibly close to a perfect hotel. The location is great, very close to Nagasaki station and the tram. The room was a good size and nicely decorated with new, attractive furnishings. The air conditioning worked well so I was comfortable. The best part was the amenities for the guests. On the top floor, there was an onsen/public bath that included a rooftop outdoor bath. It was absolutely divine. The shampoo etc they provided was really nice, too. There was a sauna that I didn’t use but my husband loved, and even a cold bath to dunk into to cool down. Not only that, but there was a small lounge with manga, free popsicles for after the bath, free probiotic drinks in the morning, and two extremely high tech massage chairs that you’ll really appreciate after climbing up nagasaki’s steps and slopes. I was sad to leave.

… but I wasn’t sad to leave my pillow. The one pillow provided was by far the worst pillow I have ever had to use in my life. I don’t like being dramatic but it was a crisis. It felt like sleeping on a child’s carseat cushion or a bar stool. I actually considered going to the local Donki to buy a pillow. For the record maybe they had softer pillows behind the desk and I should have asked and this is my fault, but I really need to speak out against these pillows.

Amazing location and 10/10 facilities (the public bath was the best of any hotel I’ve stayed during this trip). Friendly staff and great breakfast selection. I truly enjoyed my stay here. Room isn’t super big but standard in Japan.

The booking system doesn’t work well, at all. This isn’t by any means fault of the staff, who are incredibly helpful. However, upon arrival, the system recorded a stay of 2 days rather than 3. After a while the mistake appeared to have been corrected, but it appeared that we didn’t book breakfast. Because I genuinely couldn’t remember if breakfast had been booked or not, I paid for breakfast, only to be given a refund later because the system now showed that breakfast was already included. Staff was super helpful with this and I’m sure they’re just as frustrated about the system showing things that aren’t true.

Clean and comfortable room located about 5 min from the Nagasaki JR station. The Atomic Bomb Museum is about 45 min on foot one direction and Glover Gardens is about 45 min on foot the opposite direction. If you don't feel like walking, the bus stop is about 3 minutes on foot and easy to navigate. The onsen on the top floor is very relaxing. For westerners like me who may not be familiar with using the onsen, the hotel provides easy to understand instructions and it's definitely worth stepping out of your comfort zone to experience it. There is also a late night ramen service provided by the hotel and a 7-11 located in the bottom of the building with direct access from the hotel lobby. The staff is very friendly and checking in and out was easy.

Great location, just across the road from the mall and the conbini on the ground floor of the hotel was so handy. The rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable, we asked for extra pillows and the staff were happy to oblige. Getting luggage delivered was great and the reception just post a little message to the TV in your room to let you know it has arrived. Parking really great also.

The staffs level of English generally wasn't great so it was a little hard to communicate without Google translate, but they were really friendly and we understand that this is not a hugely touristy area.

This was my first time staying at a Dormy Inn Premium. Excellent value for money, room sizeable enough for Japanese standards in close proximity to the Nagasaki central train station, with numerous choices for dining on the hotel's doorstep. The men's public bath is well maintained and the outdoor pool adds a very nice touch to the overall experience. The complimentary ice cream in the evening is a fantastic way to end your bathing ritual, whilst browsing a manga or two. The massage chairs on the same floor were amongst the best I've had the opportunity to try in Japan. All in all definitely recommended and would happily book with Dormy Inn again (I was in fact after staying at this hotel seriously considering changing some of my next bookings at locations were Dormy Inn are also present to stay with them again, but lack of free cancellation prevented me from doing so).

1. near nagasaki station. convenient no matter you drive or go by public transport, and main attractions in the city are mostly within 15 minutes of driving. plus free parking is provided. 2. warm reception. the staff always have smiles, and are willing to patiently answer your enquiries. 3. nice onsen, especially you can enjoy one in the city centre. you may have free ramen afterwards (it's nice too). 4. a 7-eleven is virtually in the hotel. you don't have to leave the building to get some refreshments. definite choice if i ever go to nagasaki again.

It’s very close to Nagasaki Trainstation, very clean and it has a 7/11 at the ground flour. Free popsicle and good manga selection at the top floor onsen.

The staff was friendly but given the fact that I wanted to make a day trip to Gunkanjima (Hashima) and no one could help me do the reservation was a bit disappointing. The only help was to dial the number and give me the earphone. Luckily I do speak Japanese so it wasn’t a big deal talking to the agencies by myself, but as a non Japanese speaker this would’ve been a dead end. This poor concierge service about booking trips was the only negative thing.
