We were left stranded by our Holiday company who had overbooked our original hotel on New Year’s Day. We managed to get the last room at the RUI. We wouldn’t normally go for a large hotel but maybe this was fate. The reception staff were absolutely fantastic trying to sort us out in our hour of need. The Hotel itself was first class. The food and drink was top quality and plentiful. Even though its a very large Hotel and was completely full, there was very little queuing for anything. No need to get up early for a sun bed, there was loads always available. Because the all inc is 24hr, there was no rushing to stockpile at 11pm. There is beer taps around the hotel so you just go and get one when you want !!!Spotlessly clean and is brilliantly placed for walks either way. We will defiantly be booking again.

Everything was spot on.

Staff in restaurant were so attentive I met Benito, Ingrid and bald man (sorry) many times really looked after me and knew what i liked after a few sittings. Lovely coffee in bar opposite reception. Estaban (Alicante)and Evielene (Austria/Italy) could not do enough at reception when i needed emergency adaptor, taxi, tour advice etc. Lovely singer for turning on the lights a lot of effort to make visit special.. Gardener and cleaning staff continously keeping huge areas immaculate. I love the resident cats well looked after. Housekeeping Ariagrande? V maticulous with my room and always greeted me. For such a huge hotel the staff are top notch.i loved that there were no big screens showing matches.. entertainment laid on was enjoyable and the events team had huge energy. A lot of repeat business my first time but not my last. I even got my hair done just to go to dinner.

A small thing a few more english channels. More low fat/vegan food identifiable in restaurant area, took me while to find.

Very modern and clean. Friendly staff. Lots of activities to do. Confortable rooms.

The hotel is divided in two sections: the new reception and the old reception. The old reception section where we were seemed to be a bit forgotten: no entertainers, the "snack bar" would open at 12 for lunch, when in the other section it opened at 10:30 for people to have a snack. There were a few vegan options but we would have expected more options for an all inclusive. The entertainment shows at night were too early and too close to the second dinner shift, meaning that if you were in the second shift, you needed to eat quickly if you wanted to make it to the show on time.

There was a huge variety of food, drinks, activities and entertainment happening and changing every single day. Everything is served as a buffet and the bar was fast and efficient. Everybody working there was very hospitable. The shows and entertainment at the end of each day brought everybody together in an amazing communal way.

This is not a problem with the hotel at all, but Lanzarote is extremely windy year round. When we wanted to go to the beach and had to leave the comfort of the resort, it would get so windy that the sand hitting our legs felt like needles poking at us - which is a shame when the resort is literally next to the beach. The gym has very little equipment and feels a bit public since it's fully opened to a hall in one of the buildings. A little nitpick is that though the main building felt very cozy and warm, everything else feels bare with little decoration.

Absolutely lovely hotel! There wasn’t anything we could complain about, hotel is immaculate, staff are always cleaning and wanting to help and serve you when you are seated. Staff are very polite always greeting you and very helpful. Huge selection of sun beds, did not struggle at all to get a sunbed in the morning. Easy to get a table to eat breakfast lunch and dinner. Hotel room was so clean, view from our room was okay, could mainly see most of the roof with a sea view in the distance but we didn’t spend much time on the balcony so didn’t really make a difference to us! Entertainment team are so funny, really enjoyed just watching them around the resort and they made everyone laugh and got everyone of all ages involved.

Only downside was where our room was situated, was above the food hall so could constantly hear tables and chairs being moved around all throughout the night. Entertainment room got really hot and stuffy and was quite small for the size of the hotel, didn’t watch any entertainment as was hard to get a seat unless you went in really early.

Absolutely stunning hotel. Only stayed 1 night as our flight was cancelled and we were left at 11.30pm to fend for ourselves and find accommodation. The lady here on reception (maybe called eloise) went above and beyond to help us out and is an absolute credit to this hotel. Great room. Good selection on tea tray. Lovely product's for shower. Stunning gardens. Fantastic tho short time here

Food was a little disappointing, everything was prepared too much a head of time and then sat under the lights far too long. couldn’t even get a freshly prepared omelette in the morning. No table service for drinks either except water so serve yourself. Red wine was horrible, White wine ok. 1 coffee machine for hundreds of guests so always waiting. Food in pool are bad, dry burgers, chicken nuggets and fries, nothing fresh! The themed restaurant’s are just buffet no table service which we found unusual. All in all 6/10 for food. Disappointing as we loved everything else about the hotel. We would still return as the food is passable just needs to be better.

Had a great stay at this fantastic hotel. Very impressed at the cleanliness, standard of accommodation and food quality. Not forgetting the staff who provided a first class service with a smile! The hotel is in two joined sections but don't think one is better than the other, both are great. If we had to choose again we preferred the back sea facing section. It has its own pool, food bar and lovely gardens. Really couldn't fault this place, oh and forgot the evening entertainment was better than most. Give it a try you wont be disappointed.

We loved the hotel location, just opposite the beach, easy access from the airport by bus number 161 - ticket only 1.40 per person, also direct bus 3 going to Arrecife from the same bus stop. Pools were amazing, entertainment team did great job, all inclusive drinks - lot of cocktails included, service at the restaurant was amazing. Team of hotel RIU was perfect. We would love to come back. :)

Plenty of decent food for breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner. The staff are really well trained and do a great job on greeting everyone throughout the day with a smile and hello. Two large pool areas. One on either side of the complex. Lots of entertainment and engaging staff on this front also.

I'm reluctant to write something bad about this hotel. Personal to me, the hotel is very busy and there are a lot of guests moving about which can be a bit annoying. Saying that though, it was very quiet at night. There was almost no noise at all coming from the onsite disco.
