The hostel was in a great location, an easy walk to Asakusa Station, Senso-ji Temple, Skytree, along with tons of restaurants, bars, and shops. The staff were very lovely and welcoming. I stayed in the female dorm and it had everything you needed and it was nice to have the bathroom in the room. The beds are good and there are curtains for each bunk. Showers were good and all the spaces were clean
The female dorm room is very small. While it was nice that each bed had its own “safe”, it was very small and barely held anything. The room also doesn’t have lockers to store your bags in

Friendly staff, clean facilities. Room was small — althought that is to be expected and we could still fit our luggage underneath the bed. Kitchen downstairs was equipped with everything needed. We had a room with shared bathroom/shower which was never an issue (and everything was very clean). Big plus for the ac unit for heating, as it was very cold during our stay. Lovely area of Tokyo and close to Senso-ji and other sightseeing spots. 5 min to Asakusa Station and also walking distance to Tokyo Skytree.
Note that there is no elevator so heavy luggage may be hard to bring up and down the stairs. Walls are thin so could hear our neighbors quite a lot, but didn’t bother us too much.

1. Location good and convenient near subway station. 2. The place is very clean. 3. Staff can listen and speak English. 4. Safety with security digital lock on main door at night, and security box beside bed. 5.Helping me to store Luggages before check in and after check out. 6. Toilet and bath room is very near the bed room.
1.The stairs is difficult to walk, especially when I taking my Luggages to third floor bed room. 2. Sometimes the staff is not on front desk, but there has a phone for tenants to call immediately, so actually it does not a problem. 3. After 11pm check-in will be extra charged. 4. For short stay cannot change mattress cloth and pillow cloth. (I was stayed 3 nights)

I stayed in the 4 bed female only bunk - it had a separate shower and toilet to other guests which was cleaned very frequently. The staff were always very friendly and very helpful and I was able to store my luggage earlier than check in on the day of my arrival. The room itself was comfy and clean and the kitchen was clean.
The bunk beds were a little difficult to get in and out of and you only have one small storage area which was lockable so bags were left in the open (although I locked mine to the wall). The location was perfect for me as I couldn’t go out because i’m 18 but if you wanted to go clubbing it is far away from the good areas

Very friendly and helpful staff, everyone can speak english well, so you can also have a nice chat with them. I could check in earlier. The hostel is quite small, but it has everythink you need (also a small kitchen, laundry...) and it is very clean. My room was small but it was enough space for my big suitcase. It also had air condition, a comfy bed, a small fridge, some hangers and a little table. You get towels and slippers for free. A Highlight was the rooftop from where you could see the tokyo skytree. The Location is also very good. There is a directly metro line from the Airport to the asakusa station and than its a 10 min walk. Close to the tokyo skytree or sensoji temple and with the asakusa line you can also go easily more into the tokyo City. Shops like 7 eleven/ Restaurants nearby (5-10min walk).
Only stairs, no lift. But the staff helped me with my suitcase so it was alright. :) A bit noisy sometimes in the night as the walls are not very thick and some other guests were talking loud. Not much the hostel can do (you can get earplugs).

It was the best hostel I could've stayed at! I am very glad to have chosen the plat hostel and to have met such lovely staff - Shin and Grace. Thanks for the two nights I've stayed there. For the coffee and the lovely chat! The hostel is very cleanly managed and friendly. It's near Asakusa station with an astounding view of the Skytree. I personally like it more than the Tokyo Tower. Being near Asakusa station means you can ride the Skyaccess from Narita, and it also means you get access to the tourist area without it being too noisy. You won't regret your choice if you stay here.

1. Beautiful view of sky tree from the rooftop. Free towel and slippers. Microwave, oven, freezer, fridge, and kitchen sink available in the common area. 2. Bunk bed was so robust that there was no annoying ‘quake’ when another guest climb the bunk bed. It also has a separate place to put small storages inside the bunk bed. It was also quite good in soundproofing from noise that other’s guests made. 3. Location was not so far from Asakusa station, about 10 minutes on foot. 4. Common area was always clean. 5. Compared to other hostels with similar pricing in Asakusa, they have new facilities with clean-look place. 6. Staff were friendly and helpful. They recommended me to use hostel’s umbrella when it was about to rain.
1. Wifi was not so reliable. There were times when the speed were so slow that I couldn’t watch even youtube video in mediocre quality. 2. Pillow was not comfortable, it was too hard for me to sleep on. Mattress was a little bit too thin for me that I could feel the wood below it. 3. No elevator. 4. No private locker to store bag or luggage. Only small space inside the bunk bed. 5. Dormitory consists of 8 guests. There are also other private rooms. Only 2 toilets for men and 2 for women, and 1 sharing bathroom. 6. Temperature inside the powder room was hot for me but equipped with sinks, good light, and hair dryer.

Plat Hostel Keikyu Asakusa Karin is incredibly good value for money, clean & centrally located close to 4 train lines with great access to both Narita & Haneda, the Sumida River overlooking Skytree, the Asakusa area close to Sensoji, restaurants & Kappabasshi St which is a great area since you get a more authentic feel of Old Tokyo walking in the backstreets. The room while simple is everything you need, there’s space for your luggage in your room. The beds are also very comfortable for a good sleep and the room is clean. I stayed here twice so had a private room with private bathroom but with the shared bathroom you’re sharing with a max of 6 other guests which is really good for hostel standards. There’s also a large rooftop terrace with great views of Tokyo Skytree and it’s a bonus to have a laundry. The staff were also super friendly, always happy to chat with guests & give great local recommendations. This is a great budget option for those visiting Tokyo

The staff were really friendly and helpful. They even helped us move our luggage onto the third floor as there are no elevators in this hostel. In general the room was clean and I actually enjoyed the pillows and comforters provided.
The rooms were quite small. We got the 3 bed unit and there wasn't really much space to even open our suitcases. Also during our stay, there were some girls that were hogging the communal spaces, like talking late on the phone late at night in the powder room (which is where you would brush your teeth/dry your hair) and even bringing their suitcases there so it was very awkward to use. Of course, this isn't the fault of the hostel but it is what happens when you have to share bathrooms/sink areas.

I arrived early in the morning and left my luggage with the staff and they were very helpful and spoke English. Check in and check out was fast and easy. The room was clean and I had a free cleaning service for staying more than 5 days, apart from that they offer daily towel changes too. The toilets and showers were really clean too, with free soap / shampoo / conditioner / hair dryer. The bed was decently comfortable and good for a hostel, and each bed comes with a lamp, emergency flashlight, retractable clothesline, and blinds at the entrance. The bedside outlet had USB outlets so a travel adapter is not necessary. The room had a mini fridge and the aircon temperature can be adjusted. There is a large fridge in the shared kitchen, as well as a microwave, utensils, etc.
Space is limited as it is a hostel and it would be difficult to have many large suitcases open, so I would recommend to travel light or book their rooms instead of shared dormitory if you have a lot of luggage. It was OK for me because I only had a small suitcase :)
